Key responsibilities
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Drive the organisation to use data in its operations, using first party and third-party data sources to facilitate more informed and reliable decision making. - Supporter Insights: Deliver meaningful insight into our supporter base to support our donor acquisition and retention objectives. Build segmentations to be used for targeting.
- Impact Reporting: With the Director of Data, develop comprehensive impact reporting frameworks, tracking the effectiveness of our charitable activity, and providing the Senior Leadership Team with actionable insights to drive improvements.

We are currently a team of 44 people and growing. Since the pandemic, we have moved to a hybrid working model, with some of our team members working remotely, with occasional trips to our Leeds and Birmingham offices, and travel to events around the UK.

The Supporter Donations Queries Team at Macmillan are looking for x2 Supporter Donations Assistants to play their part in helping Macmillan's supporters and stakeholders do whatever it takes for people living with cancer. We have two roles available within our Supporter Donations Queries Team. Whether you are a recent graduate looking to gain customer care experience within a large, complex, and successful charity or you are seasoned supporter/customer care or administrational professional looking to broaden your experience and are keen to contribute to the work of a busy, friendly, and high-performing team, or whether you are looking to change your career and have the skills needed to excel in a customer service role, we want to hear from you.
You’ll be processing high volumes of income and inputting donations on our income system, resolving queries from our supporters & internal stakeholders, sending personalised thank you letters and helping to process Gift Aid sponsorship forms. You will liaise with stakeholders across the organisation including our Finance team, colleagues across Supporter Care, Relationship Fundraising Managers and product teams in order to accurately thank and process supporter donations received by Macmillan across all channels. Including processing online event registrations & donations, revalidating eligible Gift Aid, cleansing data and addressing all queries related to donations. You will:
- Be a competent, efficient user of Microsoft Dynamics 365 technology – especially for managing and manipulating data.
- Have experience of reporting suites such as Power BI and a knowledge and expertise using SQL and Azure.
- You will be able to show proficiency in using R and/or Python for data exploration and analysis, showcasing your ability to work with diverse datasets and apply statistical techniques.
- Shown experience in building and leading an insights team and function which will produce reporting to inform decision-making

The Network Lead plays a central role in helping us achieve our vision to end the need for food banks in the UK. This is a varied, proactive and fast-paced role that involves representing the Trussell Trust on policy and public affairs and key stakeholder relationships in South West, the leadership of a dynamic team of area managers that supports the network of food banks in the South West to deliver emergency food, and the coordination of projects and partnerships to support the food banks in our network to reduce the need for their services locally.

Let’s Go Zero is a national campaign uniting teachers, pupils, parents and their schools as they all work together to be zero carbon by 2030. We’re also working with national government to ensure the right support is in place to help all schools reach this goal through seven policy actions.
The Let’s Go Zero campaign is seeking one Climate Action Advisor based in Cumbria or Lancashire, and one Climate Action Advisor based in North/North East Lincolnshire or Hull, as part of its new climate action advisors project. This initiative will link thousands of schools across the whole of England with advice and support from a network of 31 local climate experts.
About the Role
Do you have a passion for climate action? Are you confident engaging with external stakeholders? We're looking for two advisors to support school leaders, local authorities and others to carry out projects that reduce emissions and inspire students and the wider community. We know schools are eager to take climate action, but often lack the information to do so.
You will play an important role helping them develop their plans, secure funding, and work in partnership to achieve their goals. You will support future new initiatives announced by our coalition members, the Department for Education, or other organisations working in schools, to ensure a smooth flow of information, enabling schools to transition to zero carbon.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with up to 3 years of experience in administration which includes administering and monitoring databases. The post will provide the Team with accurate, timely and comprehensive data, reports and minutes to support and enable effective grant making and decision making. The post plays a crucial role in supporting the whole Team in the UK and in Africa with the potential for visiting Egmont Partners and projects in southern & eastern Africa.
The successful candidate will be highly IT competent, possess good written communication skills and have a positive attitude and strong desire to help meet the objectives of this small but very effective international development charity. In this fast-paced role, you’ll manage the administration side of our partnerships, from initial contact and briefing, through proposal management, all the way to issuing contracts and drafting scopes. You’ll work across multiple projects and deadlines, managing processes, organising meetings, following up action points, and keeping accurate partnership records.
You’ll champion the partner experience and ensure we always deliver value. This includes meeting with organisations to explore their goals, and briefing colleagues on new partners’ needs. You’ll also lead on our marketing and webinar programme, coordinating plans and working with colleagues and freelancers to deliver outstanding content.
