About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced research and insight professional to help shape how we use evidence to drive real and tangible change for people affected by breast cancer. With 1 in 7 women developing breast cancer in their lifetime, the insights you generate and coordinate will help us make impactful decisions that will help to change the course of breast cancer, and the lives of people affected.

Sitting in our impact, strategy and innovation team, you’ll play a key role in supporting major strategic programmes. You’ll have dedicated time to lead cross organisational discovery work, guide teams through what the evidence is telling us, and help turn insight into clear recommendations that support meaningful organisational change.

You’ll also support colleagues across the charity with their insight needs - joining the dots across teams, spotting gaps, sharing best practice, and helping build an organisational culture that confidently uses insight in everyday work.

Day to day, this means you might be leading on one of our core organisational insight products (like the Breast Cancer Compendium), coordinating evidence across teams, supporting commissioned research, or helping turn emerging insights into practical next steps. It’s a varied role, balancing longer-term strategic insight projects with timely responses to evolving needs.

About you

We’re looking for someone with strong experience in research and insight, confident working with different types of evidence - from data and literature to lived experience. You’ll be skilled at distilling complex information and turning it into clear, actionable insight that helps teams understand what to do next, and you’ll be comfortable using digital research tools – bringing curiosity about emerging technologies that can help us work more efficiently and inclusively.

You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues across policy, influencing, public health, research, support services, nursing, and more. You should feel comfortable facilitating conversations, presenting evidence and findings to a range of audiences including senior stakeholders. You’ll help colleagues move from insight to action - supporting them to understand what the evidence means and how it should shape their decisions and strategies.

You’ll also be able to take a step back and look at the bigger picture - spotting patterns, identifying gaps and opportunities. You’ll play a central role in helping us strengthen our organisational insight culture, supporting teams to use evidence confidently in their day‑to‑day decisions. About the Role

The Estate & Facilities Manager is responsible for the effective management, upkeep and maintenance of the St Stephen’s estate (comprising of the Church , Crossway, office building & 4 residential properties), ensuring that the estate is safe, compliant, well maintained and fit for ministry and community use.

The role oversees estate administration, building services and residential property maintenance, maintaining accurate records and contractor documentation. The post holder manages the annual maintenance programme, quinquennial inspection process and capital works projects, coordinating contractors and suppliers to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.

The Estate & Facilities Manager also leads on Health & Safety across the estate, ensuring that appropriate policies, risk assessments, fire safety procedures and statutory compliance requirements are in place and implemented, working closely with the Director of Operations.

Preventing cancer, saving lives

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to international research funding programmes and gain insight into how cancer prevention research is supported and delivered?

We are seeking a Research Funding Officer (Operations) to support the delivery of our research funding programmes, with a particular focus on the integration of the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) grant programme into the WCRF International portfolio. This is a fixed-term role for 18 months.

In this role, you will support the operational delivery of WCRF International’s grant programmes across both pre-award and post-award activities. You will contribute to the administration of grant calls, respond to applicant queries, process applications, support peer review and Panel meetings, and help maintain and develop our grant management system. You will also track research outputs, maintain grant records and contribute to internal reporting and analysis. 

You will have a relevant scientific background (e.g. nutrition, public health, cancer biology or a related discipline), with experience working in a research or administrative environment (ideally within academia or research management).You will have a strong analytical mindset and be comfortable working with data, systems and tracking processes, and be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with a range of stakeholders is key as is being proactive, adaptable and able to work as part of a small, collaborative team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational and analytical skills who enjoys working with data and complex processes. The postholder will gain a unique insight into the full research funding lifecycle, supporting both the pre-award and post-award stages of international grant programmes. Working closely with experienced colleagues across the Research Funding team, the successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of how research funding programmes are designed, delivered and monitored, while applying their scientific knowledge to real-world research projects. Penrose Women's Luton SHAP support women who have experienced multiple forms of exclusion such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug/alcohol dependency, and enduring high levels of violence and coercion. The team supports our women to create a safe, secure, and nurturing environment to create a space where they can call home. They provide person-centred care and support to help them overcome personal challenges and rebuild their lives for brighter futures.

In this role, you will support in leading the team by providing overall leadership to the service and line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower your team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will support in driving service outcomes in line with contractual requirements, ensuring quality and consistency within a trauma and psychologically informed environment. Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with a UK-based charity and climate foundation to recruit for a Head of Finance and Operations on a permanent, part time basis (3-4 days per week). This is a standalone role with no team reports, to be based out of their London office and remotely.

This is a rare opportunity to play a central role in an organisation that’s inspired hundreds of artists to take meaningful action on the climate crisis. As they enter an exciting new phase of growth, the charity needs someone who can help them scale their impact by building smart systems, strengthening their internal operations, and driving financial and organisational efficiency. Key responsibilities including day to day management of finance and systems, leading operations and projects, ensuring the charity is legal and compliant, and overseeing the HR and People function.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing finances ideally from within the charity or music sector. You will have some experience of managing other operational areas such as HR, IT,  Operations although we would welcome applications from candidates who are looking to develop skills in some areas. You will be an effective communicator with the ability to build relationships and will also be driven by the mission of the charity. Experience of working in a smaller organisation could also be beneficial.

Earlsfield Foodbank was set up in 2013 and is part of IFAN. We are based in St Andrew's Church, Earlsfield, London SW18 and operate on a Thursday morning. Our team of Volunteers provides food and support to the 300 local "guests" that are registered with us. Typically 70-80 come each week. As food poverty is often a symptom other issues we provide further support on the day. The Home Café which is also based in the Church kindly enables us to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Our income is a mix of grants, donations (both cash and food direct) and fund raising events. 

We are seeking a manager who can:

1. Lead the team on the Thursday morning.

2. Promote the role of the Foodbank within the local community to increase the level of donations from individuals and local businesses.

3. Work with the Trustees to secure multi-year grants.

Operations Director:

A new post at the Longford Trust, created at an exciting time of growth and development for the charity.

- A 3 day-a-week role;

- Reporting to the Director and working as part of the Senior Management Team of the trust, within an overall cohort of eight, all part-time posts;

- Paid pro-rata of £50-55,000 depending on experience via PAYE with pensions contributions;

- The trust has no physical office, so team members work remotely, with flexible hours, but all team members work Tuesdays. There are regular face-to-face team meetings, as well as one-to-ones, so easy access to London an advantage.

Responsibilities

- Leadership role in following areas: strategy, developing and implementing the 10-Year-Plan; HR; our Frank Awards programme; Communications and Marketing, systems, digital and AI.

- Working with the Director on fund-raising and finance, growing and nurturing our core partnerships;

- Working with other SMT members when needed in delivering their specific programme areas.

Person specification

Essential qualities you need to be able to demonstrate:

- commitment to prison reform, with an understanding of the prison system and the barriers it creates for those leaving prison (lived experience of the prison or the criminal justice system is valued);

- senior management background either in a charitable organisation or in a relevant area;

- an entrepreneurial approach;

- proven leadership skills and ability to represent the trust in public settings;

- track record in expressing yourself clearly and persuasively in writing;

- strong interpersonal skills in regard of team-working, team-building and upholding the values of the trust;

- up-to-date financial and digital literacy.

Who we are and what we do

The Longford Trust was set up in 2002. Each November, it stages an annual Longford Lecture and awards an annual Longford Prize. Our Longford Scholarship programme supports young serving and ex-prisoners to continue their rehabilitation by going to university. It is the only programme of its type across the UK, supporting more than 600 individuals so far, with over 100 current award-holders, as well as many alumni who continue to be part of the trust. Between 80 and 85% of those we support go on to graduate, move into employment and build new lives. Our scholarship programme accounts for more than three quarters of our expenditure
