About the role

The Director of Membership Services provides strategic leadership for the Membership Services directorate and is therefore responsible for the development and implementation of all Imperial College Union strategy relating to Student Activities, Representation, Advice, Governance and Policy. The role ensure the delivery and resourcing of operating plans, policy and operating procedures to ensure that the Union delivers its strategic objectives across its Membership Services.

The successful candidate will ensure that the directorate develops and delivers impactful and inclusive services which champion and enhance the Student Experience at Imperial College. They will ensure that the Union values of integrity, inclusivity, and innovation guide the work of the directorate, and will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal, College and external stakeholders. They will also be a member of the Union’s Operational Management Group and Leadership Team, and as such will be responsible for the strategic development of the Union and ensuring that the Union works towards delivering its mission and aims.

This role requires strategic thinking, operational expertise, and the ability to build effective relationships. Candidates should have experience managing budgets, leading teams, and driving innovation within a membership or student-focused organisation. The ability to work collaboratively while delivering student-centred initiatives is key to success in this position.

About the NGSN London Regional Board

The NGSN London Regional Board brings together partner organisations to enhance collaboration, service delivery, treatment, and understanding around gambling harm within the London Region.

The Board has a joint vision to build a strategic approach to raise awareness and provide education and treatment around gambling-related harm. The Board is chaired by Betknowmore UK’s Founder & CEO Frankie. 

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our stakeholder engagement initiatives with local authorities across London. This critical role will drive forward the board's vision by building strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring effective collaboration between local authorities, public health services, and NGSN partners. By positioning gambling harm as a public health issue, we aim to embed harm reduction within broader health systems, ensuring improved access to support and care across London.

The ideal candidate possesses proven Project Management experience and demonstrates initiative as a self-starter who excels at making sound, proactive decisions that drive project progress. Job Title: Director of Fundraising

Job Summary

To drive development of CEM’s fundraising strategy and oversee its implementation. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Identifying the most fruitful new avenues of funding from a range of Christian cultures, including individual donors, trusts and grant-making bodies
• Identifying new fundraising methods, including digital campaigns and social media outreach, to broaden and diversify our donor base
• Strengthen connections with new networks to tap into underutilised funding streams.
• Running appeals and legacy campaigns
• Creating clear briefing materials for comms staff and senior teams to help them engage with donors at all levels — from small ad hoc donations to our largest grant-making partners. Ensuring that appropriate tailored approaches are used for different cultures and church traditions
• Co-manage the Communications Officer to produce emails, newsletters and other communications assets which effectively engage potential donors
• Work closely with our founder, Rico Tice, and our CEO, to help the CEM team grow supporter donations 
• Seek out and develop relationships with new high-capacity donors
• Tell the global story of CEM’s impact to inspire and mobilise a broader, more diverse donor community

Key duties and responsibilities

• Be accountable for increasing funding to CEM by an agreed amount each year. 
• Create a clear and effective fundraising strategy and communicate it well to the rest of the CEM team.
• Bring experience and best practice to CEM’s fundraising efforts, to help us build a culture of fundraising.
• Future-proof the organisation to build the foundation for secure long-term funding
• Oversee implementation of the fundraising strategy, including briefing comms staff and reviewing materials before they’re released.
• Support global hub Directors to develop sustainable in-country fundraising strategies, and be responsible for coordinating global fundraising efforts to ensure that all teams are working collaboratively.

Person specification

The Director of Fundraising will need to demonstrate a track record of success in increasing organisational funding — this is not a skillset CEM currently has and we will be relying on the successful candidate to bring a robust knowledge of best practice. We are looking for a strategic thinker who will bring clarity and simplicity to our fundraising efforts, targeting donors wisely and treating them with respect.

CEM is a very relational organisation which operates with a high level of consensus. While staff are not afraid of conflict, or of making clear decisions where there are differences of opinion, we expect team members to work hard to listen to each other and see the value and wisdom in different viewpoints.

The person appointed will have permission to work in the UK by the start of their employment. An occupational requirement exists for the post-holder to be a practising Christian in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Youth Outreach Worker in London for a new role within our UK Safeguarding on Transport Programme. This is a 12-month outreach pilot engaging and safeguarding young people in and around Waterloo Station, helping identify and safeguard young people under 18 years at risk of criminal and sexual exploitation, county lines, missing from home, homelessness or family breakdown. This role does involve working regular unsociable hours including evenings and weekends.

You will be working to identify and  safeguard young people alongside trained volunteers and by engaging with key partners such as Southwestern Railway (SWR) Met Police, Southbank Staff, Train Operators, Youth Service and other local stakeholders.

You’ll play a key role in the development of our UK Programme and part of a dynamic team delivering Railway Children’s programme in the UK.

What we’re looking for

You will have experience of successfully engaging and supporting young people and families as well as experience of working in an outreach or similar setting, in a creative and engaging way with young people with a range of needs and vulnerabilities.

Alongside this you will be able to work effectively with partners to safeguard young people, who can work with 3rd sector groups and the local community.

You will have completed relevant training, experience in safeguarding and in the issues relevant to vulnerable young and families. Therefore, you will be an experienced practitioner with an excellent understanding of safeguarding processes and procedures, who is able to work creatively, independently and within professional boundaries.
