Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. Our work is rooted in a wealth of scientific evidence that demonstrates the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature.  We deliver ‘nature prescriptions’ to people referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Our Dose of Nature Prescription Programme is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Key Responsibilities

Hospitality & Wellbeing Support:

• Greet all guests, acting as the first point of contact between the team and external stakeholders visiting 1 Wharf Cottage, namely our clients, volunteers and partners.
• Prepare and serve teas, coffees, and refreshments to clients, volunteers and visitors, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
•  Assist the operations and psychology team with daily administrative tasks, including managing scheduling meetings and client assessments / reviews.
• Assist in the set-up and facilitation of nature-based mental health group activities, providing support to the group leaders and facilitators (where required).
•  Support the team in ensuring a comfortable and supportive workspace.

Event Coordination: 

• Assist in coordinating and executing group sessions, meetings, events and wellness workshops as required.Support logistics, venue setup, and participant coordination for monthly, quarterly and annual events.
• Provide on-the-ground assistance during events, activities and group sessions.
• Oversee the purchase of supplies, including food and drinks, for our monthly volunteer evening events.
• Provide evening and / or weekend support at our bi-annual social events for our client base, volunteers, and donors (dates are always arranged well in advance). 

Operational & Administrative Support:

• Provide general support for the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a productive, efficient and well-functioning working environment. Assist the Operations team in scheduling and coordinating client assessment and review appointments, workshops, and mental health activities in nature.
• Act as a point of contact for staff and volunteers, addressing logistical and office needs.
• Manage office supplies, ensuring restocking and organisation.
• Liaise with vendors and maintenance services as needed.
• Provide other general administrative support to the psychology and operations team, including making online orders, liaising with printers, and preparing resources for training events.

About the role

As our new Operations Manager, you will oversee and drive the effective day-to-day running of the organisation. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in a growing charity dedicated to empowering survivors of abuse.

You will support the Chair and work closely with the Emotional Support Manager to deliver strategic and operational objectives. This hands-on role suits someone highly organised, driven, and passionate about making a difference.

You will share responsibility for creating and implementing effective and efficient systems and processes to ensure the charity’s development and smooth running. You will work very closely with our Emotional Support Manager to deliver services and strategy to a high standard. You will be responsible for managing and motivating the advocacy team and be willing to learn all about the organisation’s work.

We need somebody to drive progress with the same determination and compassion demonstrated by our staff and volunteers delivering our operational services.

As part of a small, close-knit team, you will lead internal operations, financial oversight, and governance while contributing to strategic planning, staff support, and partnership development.

Roles and Responsibilities

Grant Operations (55%)

• Lead on the implementation of a recent grantmaking review, conducted by the Impact Team, including revision of key grant templates and processes: due diligence, proposal development, assessment rubric, recommendation reports, reporting, partner surveys and grant exit. 
• Lead on the summary of progress towards our grantmaking KPIs, providing detailed reports and recommendations for the SLT, Impact Committee and Trustees on a quarterly basis.
• Lead on the management and development of our Impact Committee, a formal governance body overseeing our grantmaking and impact, comprising 4 Youth Advisory Board members and 4 Trustees.
• Ensure that the Youth Advisory Board has sufficient opportunity to feed into (and shape) activities of the impact team, by collaborating with the Senior Youth Participation Manager
• Support the development and implementation of our new CRM system, ensuring data is captured by Partnership Managers and kept up to date.
• Support the Impact team to identify potential grant applicants by researching organisations in fields and geographies of interest to Mission 44, networking and attending relevant events
• Support Partnership Managers as they lead the day-to-day grant assessment and relationship management with our partners. Support the Impact team to maintain relationships and regular communication with our grantees, including site visits and attendance at partners’ events.

Funder Plus (20%)

• Work with the Impact Team to implement (and continually improve) our Funder Plus programme, ready for delivery in 2026/27 - with input and consultation from a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Meanwhile in 2025/26, support the Partnership Managers in their aim to provide additional support beyond financial grants which help our grantees to build their capacity, leadership potential and resilience - this is likely to involve regular communication with the fundraising team and liaison with our major corporate partners

Research, Learning and Evaluation (15%)

• Lead on the data collection and impact reporting processes which have been developed to capture learning, evidence and impact data from our programmatic work. 
• Support our partnership managers to use the data collection and impact reporting processes, ensuring we’re able to collect and analyse key impact data on a regular basis
• Work with our Head of  Strategy and Learning and colleagues in the Impact team to help us clearly and confidently articulate the difference we’re making as a foundation. 
• Identify opportunities to improve the systems and processes we use to generate appropriate impact data, research, case studies and evidence of our impact 
• Identify opportunities to collate and share learning across the Mission 44 team, to influence and inform our future grant-making and organisational strategy
• Build and maintain strong relationships with a range of peer grantmakers, charities, and other external stakeholders within the philanthropic sector, identifying opportunities for Mission 44 to share our learning externally, where appropriate.

Fundraising and Communications (10%)

• Support fundraising efforts by providing data and case studies to include in fundraising proposals and grant reports
• Support engagement between our partners and our donors, by facilitating the delivery of skills-based volunteering activities

About You

• Experience of working with a grantmaking organisation, as a researcher and/or grant-maker 
• Experience developing new/improved grantmaking systems and processes, and supporting the successful implementation of these processes within your organisation
• Strong project management skills 
• Experience of using grant management and/or database systems eg Salesforce or other CRM systems
• Experience of managing complex partnerships or contracts
• Proven experience of building and maintaining relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders

Event Coordination 

• Coordinate a variety of events and meetings, supporting logistics such as venue selection, catering orders, accessability requirements and technical arrangements.

• Assist in the planning and scheduling of member events and meetings, ensuring all details are attended to, such as invitations, attendee confirmations, and venue preparations. 

Project Administration 

• Maintain comprehensive administrative records relevant to projects, ensuring that all documentation is current and easily accessible to project team members. 

Record Keeping 

• Establish and maintain accurate records, comprehensive databases, and organised documentation related to office operations and employee activities, including diligent management of the CRM system to ensure timely updates and accuracy of information. 

Finance

I am working exclusively with a national homeless charity on a permanent People and Operations Manager role, paying £43,000 per annum. The charity’s aim is to end homelessness and ensure everyone has a place to call home. They do this through providing grants to individuals and organisations working with people experiencing homelessness, supporting frontline workers across the UK, and advocating for change.

The organisation is based in Holborn and offers hybrid and flexible working to all staff, going into their central London office 1-2 days per week. The charity currently has around 25 employees but is looking to grow over the next couple of years, so it is an exciting time to join the charity. The purpose of this People and Operations Manager role, paying £43,000 per annum, is to shape the charity’s internal systems, culture and operations.

You’ll be responsible for handling operational management, which includes acting as the Deputy Director for the organisation. Prospectus is delighted to be supporting our client in their search for a Head of Finance and Operations who will lead a small dynamic team and strengthen financial and operational functions during a pivotal time of growth for the organisation.

This is a full-time, one-year fixed-term contract based in London (Hybrid). The post is renewable funding dependent. The salary for this role is £65,000 per annum.

The organisation's mission is to support global efforts to eradicate conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) and strengthen national and international responses to it through research and action on CRSV against men and boys. Working with victims/survivors and in partnership with national and international actors on the ground, the charity undertakes long-term, in-depth work in selected conflict-affected countries, currently Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, Colombia, and Ukraine.

In this role you will report to the Executive Director and lead a hands on, driven small team. You will play a key role contributing both strategically and operationally.

You will take ownership of all aspects of financial management. This includes, financial planning and reporting, preparing management accounts, audits, bookkeeping, budget management, grant reporting, maintenance of financial systems and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

The People & Operations Officer will join a busy operations team. This is a new, multifaceted role, with responsibility for looking after the team and the smooth and safe running of the FNF office and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Office and IT Management: Oversee day-to-day office operations and ensure a productive working environment, including office management and maintenance, supplies, IT systems, and coordination with external providers.

You will have strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with people internally and externally and will demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism. The People and Operations Officer will have a working knowledge of MS Office and strong digital administration and CRM skills (ideally Salesforce). Job Summary 

The purpose of this role is to bring additional operational capacity to new church plants and partnerships. This role will work across multiple partnerships on a fixed term basis to support the operational set up of new partnerships, and leading on operational improvements where there are existing processes. 

This role will be pivotal in establishing sustainable operational excellence, allowing ministry teams to undertake missional work. 

Job responsibilities 

• Support new church partnerships and plants for a fixed term to develop strong operational functions.
• Work collaboratively with parish team members, scoping the operational needs that require supporting, reviewing or developing 
• Set-up new or review existing operational functions, including: HR and recruitment, finance, reporting, fundraising, buildings management.
• Develop digital and communications processes including website development and newsletter templates.
• Lead on development and implementation of volunteer and event management systems.
• Work with parish leaders to develop operational sustainability beyond the term of this role.
• Identify operational needs in support of missional activities, supporting missional project planning and project management.
• Support with partnership reporting processes as part of the Hackney and Islington funded programme.
• Develop a pipeline of income generation opportunities, including rental agreements and grant funding.
• Develop an operational toolkit of policies and best practice for future plants and partnerships

The Operations Officer will lead on the engagement of NHS Trusts as Approved Activity Providers across the UK, increasing opportunities for young people to volunteer in the health sector, to support the NHS and their local community

Whilst delivering this project, you will work alongside 4 other Operations Officers within the AAP team, who each manage a varied portfolio of AAPs for each Section of the Award. The role will be field-based, and applicants will work from home most of the time. This role will involve some travel to attend field-based meetings when necessary.

We are a volunteer-run, non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) looking to hire an Operations Lead on a 6-month contract with a view to becoming our first permanent, employed member of staff.
