Key Responsibilities:

As an Income Assistant, you'll be part of a friendly, dedicated team ensuring income is processed efficiently and in line with key standards.

• Accurately process income on to the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring correct and consistent coding and record linking
• Prepare income batches for processing
• Support the preparation of manual Gift Aid sponsorship claims
• Maintain accurate records and ensure database updates are completed correctly
• Handle income-related queries and amendments within agreed timescales
• Follow all relevant compliance procedures, including Data Protection, HMRC and audit guidelines
• Respond to phone, email and written enquiries to support high standards of supporter care
• Provide general administrative support to the wider team as needed

We're looking for an Income Officer to support the fundraising team at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association by processing income accurately, maintaining data integrity, and providing excellent supporter care. This role is key to ensuring we can continue to deliver and grow our work.

Key Responsibilities:

As Income Officer, you'll play an important part in ensuring all income is accurately processed and allocated, while maintaining high standards of supporter care.

• Process income from various channels using the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Allocate restricted income in line with supporter requests
• Build and maintain positive relationships with supporters to understand their giving intentions
• Respond to telephone, email and written queries, including complex cases, with professionalism and care
• Oversee regular giving from over 7,000 supporters via Direct Debit, Standing Order and Payroll Giving
• Manage data across multiple systems including Access databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
• Conduct Gift Aid audit checks before HMRC submission, supporting income generation of approx. £1 million annually
• Ensure compliance with Data Protection, HMRC and audit requirements when handling sensitive supporter data
• Contribute to process improvements by identifying and helping implement innovative solutions
• Collaborate with teams across the organisation to support shared goals and effective ways of working

* Lead the management of existing corporate partnerships, ensuring clear communication, tracking of deliverables, and maintaining a positive relationship with all stakeholders.

At SPANA, we support a network of global partners working through both a short- term small grants and long- term programmes – known as our Senior Partners. The CEO works with the Board of Trustees to drive the future strategy, ensure fulfilment of the implementation plan and direct a staff team comprising a Head of Delivery, 3 Family Liaison Managers, An Operations Manager, a Community Projects Manager, a Bookkeeper, and a Fundraising Consultant.

Core Responsibilities

· Support the team in identifying funders and income generation opportunities

· Build networks with new and existing funders to engage their support

· Represent and participate at external events and meetings to promote HSC&I

Personal Specification / Attributes

The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Manager/Chief Executive with a demonstrable track record of successfully running an organisation or team leadership. You will possess strong strategic management, governance and people skills in addition to being solution focussed. Excellent stakeholder management skills are essential as is the ability to generate income from a range of sources.

The Role

In this new role, you’ll ensure Kidney Research UK has access to and uses external health data effectively to provide high-quality evidence and insight to a wide audience and remains intelligence-led across all its operations.

The post-holder will deliver a core health data intelligence service, ensuring the Policy, Programmes and Communications Teams, along with the wider staff group, have access to a wide range of high-quality health analytics assets. The role will lead on delivering discrete pieces of original quantitative analysis, along with supporting analytics work led by other team members. The role will also involve supporting or leading the delivery of any required data analysis or health economics work, as required.

This will include the management of our health statistics sign-off process, reviewing other colleagues’ use of quantitative health data evidence for external-facing resources and leading on commissioned health economics projects.

A commitment to continuous learning and a collaborative spirit is key. You'll possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with experience in Microsoft 365 applications, ideally including Power BI, Excel, and SharePoint. Confidence querying databases is equally important, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of data owners and stakeholders.

The ability to showcase insights through clear and informative visualisations - charts, tables, and dashboards - is essential for both internal and external audiences.
