In 2024, a staggering 4.1 million UK women experienced economic abuse at the hands of their current or former partner. The rising cost of living has only exacerbated the devastated impact of this form of domestic abuse. 

Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) is the only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it.

Since our founding in 2017, we’ve proudly campaigned successfully for the recognition of economic abuse in UK law and influenced wide-ranging systemic change to transform responses to it. We're now entering an ambitious new phase, and we’re seeking a dynamic, strategic and values-led Head of Income as part of the Senior Leadership Teamto help drive it forward.

This is a critical time for SEA. With a bold three-year strategy now in place, we’re looking for an experienced income-generation leader to oversee and diversify our income streams — across high-net-worth giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, and earned income through consultancy and training. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Leader based in the West Midlands to join the Homicide Service team. This role involves managing and supporting operational staff to ensure the delivery of excellent services to those affected by homicide.

The West Midlands covers Birmingham, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire. It is a requirement that you live within one of these area in order to carry out this role effectively.

The Role

About us

Parallel is a small but ambitious charitable initiative doing big things: we currently support over 3,000 students through our maths enrichment activities, around 500 of whom receive dedicated weekly, small-group online tutorials in The Parallel Academy. Our mission is to support students on our programmes to fulfil their mathematical potential, by providing them with the opportunity to develop their reasoning and problem-solving skills beyond the curriculum. 

Our students are motivated and ambitious. Although our maths programme is optional and takes place outside of school hours, students have an average attendance above 95%.

The Role

We are rapidly expanding our service provision over the coming months, and are seeking a full or part-time Project Administrator to join our passionate and energetic team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our programmes and help embed the tools and processes for reaching thousands more students each year.

This is a versatile role with responsibilities ranging from database management to setting up online events and communicating with service users, schools and tutoring staff. Working within a small administration team, you will be proficient at using a range of tools such as spreadsheets, meeting platforms and scheduling software, and will be willing to learn new ways of working. Hours

This is a flexible and fully remote role, and you will have significant autonomy in how you structure your working week. 

As part of your contracted hours, you will be required to work some evenings and weekends, but this will not exceed one day a week in total. There will also be periods when there is a higher workload (e.g., during student recruitment periods), so you may be required to offer some flexibility in working longer (and then shorter) hours week to week. • Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date spreadsheets relating to student rosters and learning data.

This is a new role within the Bereavement Support Service proactively engaging bereaved families with the support service, respond to bereavement support digital enquiries, working in a team to deliver and ensure anyone seeking advice and support on bereavement is given a high-quality service in a timely way.

The aim of this post is to provide consistent, high-quality emotional support via digital channels to bereaved families who seek support from the Lullaby Trust.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Proactively engage bereaved families with the support service, respond to bereavement support digital enquiries, working in a team to deliver and ensure anyone seeking advice and support on bereavement is given a high-quality service in a timely way.

· Assist with the setting up of new digital channels to be used by the Lullaby Trust to answer and respond to bereaved families.

· To be the primary contact for the bereavement support digital services including WhatsApp, text, webchat and other social media channels.

· Proactively engage with bereaved families through social media and other online platforms.

· Ensure any safeguarding concerns are actioned in accordance with the organisations Safeguarding policy.

· Send materials to bereaved contacts, including bereavement packs and follow up emails and ensure all documents and databases are updated with each contact in line with the department guidelines, including Raiser’s Edge, Excel databases.

· Cover and answer the bereavement support helpline and online enquiries responding within the set guidelines and KPIs for the department.

· Ensure any messages on Bereavement Support Facebook Groups are monitored and advice is given via befrienders where appropriate.

2. Deliver and run live bereavement themed sessions on social media

· Facilitate monthly remembrance sessions.

Senior Finance Officer

14 hours per week

As our Senior Finance Officer you will contribute to Career Ready’s finance and operations function by providing high quality financial support to the charity. Working as part of a small team of three, you will perform core finance tasks and will support the Head of Finance and Operations with budgeting, reporting and auditing activities.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities

Bookkeeping and Accounting

• Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into Xero Accounts
• Assist with the annual audit
• Maintain financial files and records
• Manage and reconcile the accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process payable invoices and staff expenses in line with fortnightly payment runs
• Perform credit control for maximum debt recovery
• Reconcile the bank statements for review the Head of Finance & Operations
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and budget monitoring reports

Support to the Partnerships and Income Teams

• Collating financial information for funding applications as required
• Monitoring expenditure on grant-funded programmes
• Preparing financial reports on receivable grants as required
• Maintain electronic files of funding agreements and contracts

Payroll

• To support with the administration of monthly salaried payroll for staff, and internship payroll throughout Jun-Sep each year
• To raise monthly salary journals for review by the Head of Finance & Operations
• To process payroll payments via online banking portals

Essential skills and experience required

· Fully or part qualified – AAT, ACCA or CIMA or qualified by experience

· Clear understanding of financial controls, compliance, and reporting frameworks

· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

· Previous experience of computerised accounting and payroll e.g. Xero

Over the coming year, The Drive Partnership is looking to review, update, and design new training to offer to The Drive Project workforce. To lead this work, we are recruiting a Drive training team made up of a Senior Training Lead, Training Lead and Training Coordinator.

About Drive

The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. We work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together we have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. We also work to advocate for systems and policy change- to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse.

Prospectus are delighted to be working with a long-standing client to recruit a Finance Assistant. This is a remote role, with the option for hybrid working 1–2 days per week from their Edinburgh office, based just a short walk from Waverley train station.

The role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours per week, though 35 hours will be considered), with a salary of £27,000 pro rata per annum.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with bookkeeping experience, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage finance operations in a cloud-based environment.

Role Overview
The Finance Assistant will report to the Finance Manager and play a key role in delivering day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring smooth financial operations across purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, credit control, and payment processing.

The postholder will use Sage 50 Accounts, Excel, and online banking systems, while also interacting with Beacon CRM to track and reconcile donation and grant income. You’ll support month-end and year-end processes and assist in preparation for the annual audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase ledger invoices, obtain approvals, post to Sage, and set up BACS payments
• Administer staff and freelancer expense payments
• Generate sales invoices and monitor credit control
• Perform daily/weekly bank postings using bank feeds and reconcile bank accounts regularly
• Handle credit card postings and voucher collection
• Monitor shared finance inbox and respond to staff and supplier queries
• Post donations and subscription income and notify relevant teams of grant receipts
• Support reconciliation between Sage and Beacon CRM
• Assist with Gift Aid monitoring and continuous improvement of finance processes​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​Candidate Profile

Essential:

• Proven experience in a similar finance assistant/bookkeeping role
• Proficiency with accounting software (ideally Sage 50), including general ledger, supplier and bank modules
• Strong MS Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
• Experience in purchase and sales ledger management
• Understanding of BACS payment processes
• Comfortable working independently and to deadlines in a remote setting

Desirable:

• Experience working in the charity or not-for-profit sector
• Knowledge of fund accounting and Gift Aid
• Part-qualified or fully qualified (e.g. AAT) or qualified by experience
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Beacon
• Intermediate Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, filtering)

Housing Worker
Hours: 30-37 hours per week, flexible to be over 4-5 days
Salary: £27,876 - £30,002 (pro-rata - salary dependent on skills, experience and knowledge)

Following probation the role requires on-call for approx 6 weeks a year, for which extra payments are made.

We have a vacancy for housing support and recovery worker based in Oxford city, to provide flexible, proactive and assertive support, to residents of our housing projects, to promote recovery and independence within a positive risk management approach to adults with serious and enduring mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment of mental health needs & risk.
• Creation and management of appropriate strategies to manage risks for individuals and environment.
• Property and housing management including health and safety responsibilities, fire safety checks and arranging repairs to maintain a safe environment.
• Record keeping and administration.
• Formulate and see through plans for residents to move on to more long-term resident accommodation within commissioned timeframes.

Key Skills

• An understanding of the issues for people with mental health issues living in the community.
• Experience of working in a housing or residential setting.
• Experience of working with individuals, enabling them to identify their own goals to support personal wellbeing and recovery, and the ability to support them in pursuing these.

· Maintain consistent Terms of Reference across all Board Committees.

• Personally manage a portfolio of prospects and existing funders at the six- and seven-figure level, inspiring them to give for the first time and continue or increase their giving
• Support the Trusts/Foundations fundraising team to develop a continuous pipeline of unrestricted and restricted funding opportunities
• Working alone and in partnership with other team members, develop high-quality tailored communications, including cases for support, bespoke proposals, concept notes and donor reports that demonstrate Global Canopy’s impact
• Engage and build relationships with peer and partner organisations to identify and explore opportunities for partnership funding applications
• Represent the voice of fundraising on strategic internal Boards and Working Groups, ensuring excellent communication flow between them and the Development team

• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident in synthesising complex information for external-facing, donor-friendly communication and talking with funders, prospects and stakeholders
• Be adept in negotiating in complex environments with multiple stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes 
• Be skilled in adapting your style of management to meet individual needs and provide support to team members in achieving their professional and developmental goals 
• Be familiar with the Fundraising Code of Practice and/or other relevant fundraising best practice frameworks
• Have excellent relationship management skills and high emotional intelligence
• Have strong financial literacy, including budgeting and financial reporting
• Be able to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities and demands
• Have experience in working in the forests, nature and/or climate sectors, preferably in a global context
• Familiarity with the human rights and social dimensions of commodity-driven deforestation and environmental degradation and/or the nexus between human rights and nature-related issues would also be beneficial
