The Operations Manager is responsible for Dose of Nature’s day-to-day operational management, providing a welcoming and efficient front face and ensuring organisational effectiveness to support the delivery of Dose of Nature’s strategic objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic team player to join our warm and friendly charity team on a full-time basis for a period of one year, with the possibility of a part-time position thereafter. Dose of Nature is in an exciting phase as we continue to receive greater funding to expand our reach. The nature of the job responsibilities may require occasional flexible hours, including some evening and weekend hours up to 6 times per year, or adjusted beginning and ending times, for example to support with monthly evening training sessions. 

Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. Our work is rooted in a wealth of scientific evidence that demonstrates the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature. We deliver ‘nature prescriptions’ to people referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Our Dose of Nature Prescription Programme is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Through a combination of education, first-hand experience, and practical and motivational support, we aim to encourage a greater connection with nature, and inspire lifestyle changes that will have a significant and lasting impact on mental wellbeing. The role is 37.5 hours per week and will involve working at Pensford Field, Kew, Monday to Wednesday from 9am-5:30pm and from home Thursday and Friday 9-5:30pm.

Key responsibilities and duties 

• To oversee the smooth running of the studio and field, ensuring Dose of Nature’s operational systems, processes and policies are fit-for-purpose, compliant with current legal requirements and are maintained effectively and efficiently. 

• To be the initial point of contact for all enquiries, responding quickly and efficiently to requests for information and other enquiries from a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, volunteer guides and trustees, health professionals, supporters, media, and academic institutions. 

• To be the main point of contact for volunteer guides; leading all aspects of the recruitment and induction process with the support from our Senior Administrator; and providing guidance and support to existing guides – including management of the on-going training programme. 

• To manage the programme of regular group sessions – ensuring volunteer group leaders and participants have the support they need so the sessions run smoothly; ensuring volunteer group leaders and participants have the support they need so the sessions run smoothly; ensuring dedicated support is in place for each group and proactively managing the seasonal timetable. 

• To assist the team in monitoring performance, including preparing internal and external performance reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. 

• To manage and oversee the booking system for all client appointments and to support psychologists as appropriate. 

• To manage communication and marketing materials, including maintenance of website, developing and updating printed materials including promotional leaflets, training booklets, and weekly timetable communication emails and bi-annual newsletters. Work with Senior Administrator to distribute regular communications and materials and to maintain a dynamic collection of digital copy including photos, videos and media footage. 

• To lead community relationship building for Dose of Nature, to include attending promotional and networking events from time to time. 

• To assist the Chief Executive in the implementation and continued development of the Growth Strategy, including providing regular updates to trustees. 

• To manage the internship and work experience programmes – overseeing recruitment, giving clear guidance on standards and day-to-day management support. 

• To ensure statutory compliance with Health and Safety legislation – conducting risk assessments, monitoring performance and reviewing procedures. 

• To plan and coordinate regular Dose of Nature community social events, including two half day events and monthly evening events and AGM. 

• To monitor monthly spend and budgets including payment of expenses and incoming donations.

Education: Educated to degree level or equivalent

The Head of Operations and Development (HOD) will play a pivotal role in taking our work to its next stage, helping us deliver even greater impact across our community.

Your Role: As an event professional, ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience gained in an event coordination role and be ready to grow into a role with greater responsibility and autonomy. This is a hands-on event coordination role in a small team. Holder House is set in the leafy neighbourhood of Abingdon and provides care and support to 14 people from 18+ living with, and recovering from, enduring mental health issues. The Team Manager reports to and will be supported by the Registered Manager.

Richmond Fellowship is part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. Administration and Systems Manager

We are looking for an experienced Administration and Systems Manager to join our enthusiastic and friendly Operations team. Help Counselling is a small Mental Health charity providing one-to-one counselling, both in person and online to adults over 18.  We are also a well-established clinical training placement provider for trainee counsellors and psychotherapists studying with prestigious training organisations in London.

About Help

Help Counselling is well-established Mental Health Charity with a heritage of over 50 years. We provide training placements for clinical supervisors, counsellors and psychotherapists who need to gain clinical experience to qualify (or further qualify) and be registered with one of the industry professional bodies such as, BACP or UKCP. For ethical reasons, the work trainee counsellors / psychotherapists do is unpaid, i.e., they must volunteer their time.

This volunteer model enables Help to fulfil its charitable aim of providing low-cost counselling services. It can take between 3-5 years to qualify, and our training placements are for minimum of 12 months meaning we can also provide clients with long-term help. Having consistence and continuity plays a pivotal role in building a safe, therapeutic, and trusting alliance between the counsellor and client. 

The blend of low-cost and long-term talking therapy is much needed in a time of increasing demand for mental health support and increasing complexity of presenting issues.

About the job

The purpose of this role is to manage the daily administrative operations and a small administration team of 2 people. The objective being to ensure that we meet our monthly targets, are compliant with the requirements of BACP, run efficiently and deal with exceptions in a timely, ethical, and effective manner.

Currently our client volumes are between 250-350, we have approximately 90 counsellors and clinical team of approximately 20. 

We operate a number of cloud-based IT systems and have outsourced HR and Finance functions.

The Candidate

Education & experience: 5-6 years’ administrative, operations, customer service and supervisory experience, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector.

About the role 

We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Bid Manager who can actively craft commercial tender submissions and work with the team to ensure we submit high-quality, winning bids within UK government procurement rules.

We have an opportunity available for a Business and Development Relationship Manager to join our Business Development team. As Business and Development Relationship Manager, your key focus will be to have a direct impact upon the growth and success of the business through the strategic contribution to service development and new business development.

This role will be home based with regular travel across the Midland and South of England region. You will be required to attend at Head Office (based in Warrington, Cheshire) for monthly team meetings, supervisions and as and when required. Salary £57,742 per annum. Contract of 39 hours per week. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing and growing the customer base across the region, establishing, and maintaining key strategic partnerships with commissioners, ICBs, housing providers and other stakeholders.
• Revenue targets and relevant KPIs are delivered across the region whilst ensuring service sustainability is maintained.
• Establishing demand needs within the local areas whilst supporting with new developments, with interests in LD & MH Services.
• The ability to develop high-level reports and briefings, managing complex data and information to provide concise recommendations and detailed action plans.

For this role you will need to be able to work independently and work with the wider business development team on competitive bids and tendering across the region. We are seeking someone who is willing to lend a helping hand and constantly looking for ways to improve process. You will need to have patience, an understanding nature and active listening skills. Qualifications

Candidates must have a relevant qualification in Business management, or be willing to work towards.  Extensive experience of successful sales/negotiation within a health and social care context is essential this for this role. Strong organisational and time management skills are required. You will need to be someone who is unafraid to take risks, try new approaches, and continuously seek improvement.

Open 365 days a year and operations from 9AM to 11PM, the Access Line provides support for those struggling with their mental health or experiencing a crisis. Helping to navigate individuals to the correct services, the service ensures effective emotional support. As Service Manager, you will manage a small team, ensuring staff are support and developed through job coaching, supervision and identifying development needs.

Samaritans in Wales

Join a friendly, supportive, and ambitious staff team in Wales. Our office is in the centre of Cardiff (Cathedral Road); an office within a shared building, close to shops. There are around 700 Samaritans volunteers work across 10 Welsh locations. These volunteers respond to calls for help every day of the week via telephone, e-mail, online chat and in person at our branches or at events across Wales. We also work with the public and the media to inform them about Samaritans and explain how we can help people find their own way forward.

Hillside Clubhouse is recruiting for a mental health employment specialist to join our dynamic Camden team supporting people with mental health conditions to gain and retain employment.  The role is working within the nationally recognised IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model within an NHS secondary care mental health team based in the heart of Camden.

Who we are: 

Hillside Clubhouse is a co-produced mental health employment support charity working across Camden and Islington. We support people with mental health conditions into training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. People can access our services via our Clubhouse, where they can share their skills and expertise with others and support the running of the charity.  Alternatively, they can receive support out in the community from one of our employment specialists based within primary and secondary care.

The Role: 

The role is within our IPS Service and will be based within a Camden NHS secondary care team. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting people with lived mental health experience on their recovery journey by supporting them back into paid employment. This is an opportunity to offer ongoing support, to motivate and provide people with hope, while developing the tools and skills required to recover, ultimately transforming their lives.

A variety of skills are needed in this post including but not limited to -  a strong ability to develop empathy and rapport with clients; a determined approach to seeking out job opportunities; a person centric-approach to working with people; strong communications skills to motivate clients; strong administrative capabilities and an attention to detail engage with prospective employers via business development and face-to-face meetings, and to be able to challenge some perceptions around mental health. 

The postholder will be directly employed by Hillside Clubhouse but work under an Honorary Contract from Camden and Islington Foundation Trust.  They will be managed directly by the IPS Operations Manager but work as team member within the clinical team. The role is dynamic and involves being integrated in a clinical team, working within the community, and we operate a flexible working policy where working from home is also permitted up to two days per week.

Overall aim: 

To enable people with mental health issues to gain and sustain competitive employment by working within the evidence based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.

Primary Duties: 

• Manage a caseload of up to twenty clients and work within and apply the 8 principles of IPS in all aspects of role. 
• To work with and enable clients to find work using a mix of conventional approaches and employer engagement. 
• To generate ongoing referrals from the clinical team and to manage those effectively. 
• To engage directly and collaboratively with the clinical team while maintaining the existing multi-disciplinary approach to assisting clients seeking work. 
• To report and meet regularly with clinical team service managers and the IPS Operations manager, and to participate in both casework and clinical supervision from IPS Operations and clinical team services managers. 
• To be an active member of both the clinical and Hillside teams 
• To be responsible for own management of administrative duties tied to both Hillside Clubhouse and clinical team and adhering to existing Hillside and NHS protocols. 
• Source job opportunities specific to client needs from a range of sources including those advertised via current and conventional means, as well as through contact with local and Pan London employers. 
• To build up a network of employers to secure available and future vacancies. 
• To maintain existing and seek out new relationships with a range of external agencies of use to the post. 
• To provide ongoing support to both client and employers (where appropriate) when starting work and until such time as the client makes the decision to end the support provided. 
• To work with clients to collaboratively manage job searching activities and engagement with the service.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

This role would suit someone with a proven track record in collaborative new business development from concept and research to delivery; ideally in an environment working with local authorities, NHS, DWP, health bodies, and/or grant institutions.  We are also looking for an exceptional communicator with strong verbal and written influencing skills across various levels of seniority.  Our ideal candidate will have a strong commercial acumen, including sales and negotiation expertise, and a good understanding of the financial principles applicable in the charity sector.  The successful candidate will be expected to uphold and embody the values of Twining in all aspects of their work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead and support the creation of high-quality bids and funding applications, including finalising technical questions and method statements.

· Manage the administrative components of the tendering process.

· Conduct research to identify income opportunities related to the employment and mental health offer.

· Build and maintain networks with local health, social care and employment agencies.

· Stay informed about procurement practices and commissioning trends in London and nationally.
