We are looking for a Development Officer to support Portsmouth Cathedral’s fundraising and development activities. This new role, which is grant funded by the Cathedrals Sustainability Fund for 24 months, will work closely with the Head of Development & Fundraising to grow income, improve communication with donors, and help deliver key projects that support the Cathedral’s mission. The role is mostly office based with the team in Cathedral House, Old Portsmouth but allows for flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Building Relationships with Donors: Draft thank-you letters, updates, and newsletters. Organize events to engage donors and welcome new supporters. Maintain confidentiality.
• Trusts and Foundation Applications: Research and apply for funding. Track deadlines and submit applications on time. Record outcomes and provide reports.
• Project Support: Assist with key projects like the National Lottery Heritage Fund project. Ensure smooth project execution and maximize funding opportunities.
• Improving Fundraising Operations: Maintain accurate records using the CRM system. Organize fundraising events and meetings.
• General Administration: Prepare materials, arrange meetings, and coordinate activities for fundraising campaigns. Contribute ideas to improve fundraising and communication.

Counselling Service Administrator 

Age UK Camden is recruiting an Administration Officer to join the Counselling Team. 

Age UK Camden is a local, independent and innovative charity which has provided services to older people in Camden for more than 50 years through diverse and inclusive services.   Our counselling services operate in partnership with the NHS Camden Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression iCope, and we offer time-limited counselling (on average 8-12 sessions) for clients with low to medium levels of depression, anxiety, and psychological issues. 

The successful candidate will: 

• Assist with the Counselling Services’ administrative needs and conduct tasks as required by the Counselling Service Manager and the Clinical Lead Councillor 

• Ensure in conjunction with the Manager, the effective implementation of administrative systems for supporting the service including the maintenance of the Client Filing system and the databases, including Charitylog and IAPTus database. 

• Make contacts with clients by telephone, email, letter and in person regarding their enquiries, referrals, progress and cancellation.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly organised administrator to support our Fundraising team.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Harris Federation’s impactful fundraising efforts through vital administrative assistance. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships and other team members, you will help celebrate and acknowledge our donors by crafting thoughtful reports and heartfelt communications. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing administrative support to the Fundraising, Partnerships and Alumni department of the Harris Federation

• Maintaining an accurate database and systems to manage donation records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality

About the role

As a key senior member of The Lighthouse team, you will play a vital part in helping people experiencing or at risk of a mental health crisis, in partnership with our mental health nursing and allied health care professional colleagues from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Business / Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing comprehensive administrative support. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the business functions of the charity, ensuring efficient and compliant operations. This role covers finance, HR, IT, premises management, recruitment, health and safety, and GDPR/data protection. Responsibilities

Human Resources & Recruitment:

· Oversee HR processes, from recruitment to staff development, ensuring compliance with best practices.

IT & Data Management:

Job Purpose

The finance team is a core part of our Operations Directorate, and although we’re a small team we have a huge impact on the effectiveness of our organisation. The team provides support and guidance to all staff members on how to process invoices, expenses, and generally manage their budgets effectively. The main purpose of the Finance Officer role is to provide key support to the finance team with our finance processes, supporting staff members across the organisation, helping with any queries on a day-to-day basis, as well as supporting our members and suppliers with queries. The Finance Officer ensures all financial transactions are processed in accordance with BSR’s procedures and processes and in line with data protection regulations. 

You don’t need to have worked in the charity sector previously. Continual professional development is vital for us as a team, and so we’re happy to support you if you’re interested in completing a professional finance qualification.

Main Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger 

• Receive all supplier invoices (including member expenses), checking correct finance codes with relevant nominal, department, project, VAT and fund codes are on all invoices, and that the necessary authorisation is present 
• Scan and file all finance related documents (e.g. bank statements)  
• Set up fortnightly supplier payment runs for review by the Finance Manager 

 Sales Ledger 

• Work with budget holders and project leads to produce sales invoices  
• Liaise with budget holders to ensure correct coding of all invoices (nominal, department, project, VAT, and fund codes) 
• Credit Control – dealing with customer queries and chasing for payments fortnightly 

Other Finance Responsibilities 

• Manage monthly credit card process including posting in Dext and reconciliation in Xero  
• Assist the Finance Manager with preparing for year end and audit fieldwork 
• Reconcile purchase ledger payments with the bank transactions 
• Run new starter finance inductions for budget holders and set up new staff on finance systems 
• Maintain process documents for all finance systems 
• Suggest and support relevant finance system and process improvements where identified 
• Be the first point of contact for finance systems and internal system integrations 

Payroll 

• Ensure new starters are processed by HR 
• Process leavers  
• Exported payroll reports and ensuring that they are filed in the correct place 
• Run the monthly payroll with Finance Manager 
• Submission of EPS and FPS to HMRC 

Committee Management 

•  Minute-taking for Finance & Risk Committee meetings 
• Administrative support relating to committee management

Role Overview

The Facilities Coordinator supports the smooth day-to-day running of all sites used by The Listening Place (TLP). This hands-on, practical role involves coordinating maintenance, basic health & safety compliance, and supplier relationships across multiple TLP locations. The post-holder will work closely with Centre Managers and the Head of Operations and Finance to ensure that all buildings are safe, well-maintained, and equipped for volunteers and staff to deliver our vital services. The role requires regular travel between sites and occasional out-of-hours availability for urgent incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilities Management:

• Act as the first point of contact for facilities related issues across all TLP sites, ensuring timely and practical resolution.

• Work closely with Centre Managers to ensure each site operates effectively and comfortably.

• Organise and oversee general maintenance, repairs, renewals, and improvement works.

• Help obtain and review quotes from contractors, tradespeople, and suppliers, ensuring value for money and quality.

• Ensure appropriate furnishings, office equipment, and supplies are available at all sites and remote work locations.

• Manage relationships and contracts with external service providers (e.g. cleaners, utilities, insurers, waste management).

• Maintain oversight of security and access arrangements (keys, fobs, alarm systems).

1. Job Purpose

The Senior Mental Health Support Worker will provide time-limited, one-to-one emotional and practical support to individuals experiencing low to moderate mental health challenges, including those with complex needs.
