As Head of Policy & Advocacy, you will:

• Lead bold campaigns that influence government, shift public debate, and secure justice for excluded communities, including those affected by the Infected Blood scandal.
• Champion health equity: keeping hepatitis C elimination, harm reduction, and wider inclusion health issues firmly on the national agenda.
• Amplify lived experience by ensuring our campaigns, media work, and policy influencing are shaped by and centred on the voices of our teams and communities.
• Build power through partnerships: working with partner charities, health leaders, and campaigners to push for systemic change.
• Shape and oversee communications: from press engagement to social media — making sure our messages cut through and inspire action.
• Guide and support colleagues: line managing our Senior Policy & Campaigns Officer and playing an active role in our senior management team.

About The Hepatitis C Trust

The Hepatitis C Trust (HCT) work with people who face severe health inequalities, including people who have hepatitis C and other health needs. With almost 500 staff and volunteers, we are the biggest lived experience organisation working in Inclusion Health in the UK. Our teams work in every community NHS area and in every prison in England, conducting outreach and providing a link between NHS services and the people they struggle to engage. We also work in parts of Scotland and Wales.

Our charity

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people through supporting the Army Cadet Force and its activities in the community. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. About Bright Futures UK

Bright Futures UK, an award winning charity, supports children and young people aged 5 to 24 whose education has been disrupted due to serious long-term physical or mental health conditions. Role Overview

The Trusts and Foundations Manager will play a central role in driving sustainable income for Bright Futures UK by securing funding from charitable trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies. This role will focus on developing high-quality funding applications, managing relationships with key funders, and ensuring timely reporting and stewardship.

Working closely with colleagues across Programmes and Finance, you will translate Bright Futures UK’s impact into compelling cases for support, while identifying new funding opportunities to grow and diversify income.

Key Responsibilities

Income Generation

• Research and identify trusts, foundations, and statutory funding opportunities aligned with Bright Futures UK’s mission.
• Develop and deliver a pipeline of high-quality funding applications to meet agreed income targets.
• Write compelling, tailored funding proposals and grant applications, drawing on organisational impact data and stories.
• Prepare accurate budgets in collaboration with the Finance Team to accompany applications.

Fundraising Strategy & Pipeline Management

• Maintain an active funding pipeline, ensuring applications and reports are submitted on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with the Chief Executive and Head of Bible Engagement, develop a clear vision for the Bible-based work in Scotland. This includes, but is not limited to, developing ways in which SBS can work with all churches in Scotland to encourage Bible engagement within congregations and beyond.

About you

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in a senior ministry or programmes position.

• Experience working for charitable organisations, or in international development or similar areas, interacting with a board of directors and with an understanding of charity reporting.

• A detailed knowledge of Scottish Christian and social environments.

• Excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to manage projects and organise your own workload and that of direct line reports.

• Leadership and people management skills and a willingness to listen and learn from others.  A genuine interest in developing people.

We are now seeking a Director of Brand, Marketing and Communications to lead our strategic direction and inspire a department of almost 60 people to deliver brilliant, integrated brand and communications work that will engage millions and accelerate progress towards our 2025–2030 Change Happens Now strategy.

About the role
As Director, you’ll:

• Lead the development and delivery of Breast Cancer Now’s brand, marketing, and communications strategy, ensuring our voice is clear, powerful and consistent.
• Drive innovative and inclusive campaigns that grow awareness, trust, engagement and income – across digital, media, PR, ambassadors, and supporter communities.
• Work closely with senior colleagues across the Engagement Directorate to deliver ambitious fundraising and engagement growth, including a £50m major campaign.
• Inspire, empower and develop a high-performing team, embedding collaboration, creativity and boldness.
• Act as an influential ambassador, building strong relationships internally and externally to maximise impact.

About you

• Significant experience leading brand, marketing and communications at scale, ideally within healthcare or the charity sector.

About the Role

As a Programme Coordinator, you will be responsible for student engagement, timetabling, logistics, and tutor performance, helping learners secure vital qualifications for their future.

Programme Coordination

• Manage a portfolio of up to 300 students throughout the year, ensuring sustained engagement with tutoring sessions.
• Prepare for programme launches, including timetabling of sessions and logistical planning.
• Maximise student reach by filling available tutoring spaces and maintaining an active pipeline of students.
• Develop strategies to enhance student engagement and track attendance KPIs using our CRM system (Salesforce).
• Prioritise safeguarding and student safety at all times.

 Tutor Performance and Delivery

• Oversee tutor task and session management to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
• Conduct regular check-ins with tutors, providing guidance and feedback.
• Observe tutoring sessions to uphold delivery standards and improve programme effectiveness.

College Relationships and Programme Logistics

• Build and maintain strong relationships with college staff to ensure seamless programme delivery.
• Manage logistical preparations, including scheduling sessions and room bookings.
• Maintain clear communication with college stakeholders and contribute to impact reporting.
• Support contract renewal discussions to sustain and expand partnerships.

 Creative Problem-Solving and Innovation

•  Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance programme efficiency.
• Contribute to wider organisational projects, such as tutor training, resource development, and student engagement initiatives.
• Lead special projects aligned with your interests to further our mission.

Championing Get Further’s Vision and Values

• Represent Get Further’s values in all interactions with students, tutors, and external partners.
• Ensure accuracy in reporting and programme evaluation to drive positive systemic change.
• Collaborate with the wider team to support the charity’s strategic priorities.

LGBT Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) Birmingham & West Midlands.

Full-time 37 hours per week.

Birmingham LGBT is seeking to recruit a full-time LGBT IDVA covering Birmingham and the West Midlands to ensure that LGBT victims/survivors of domestic violence have access to an IDVA who will offer support, signposting, advocacy, risk management and safety planning.

We recognise the importance and advantages of diverse workplaces and communities, and we acknowledge under-representation in our workforce of Black, Asian and global majority people; people with a Romany or Irish Traveller background, and people with lived experience of migration. We particularly welcome applicants from those backgrounds, identities and lived experiences

The successful applicant will join a motivated and enthusiastic team based at the Birmingham LGBT Centre in central Birmingham.

Salary: £27,506 per year, plus up to 5% matched pension contributions.

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, with some evening and Saturday work;

Annual Leave entitlement: 25 days.

Two-year, fixed-term contract, may be extended subject to funding.

Main Duties

 ·Provide independent advocacy and support to LGBT survivors of domestic violence.

·Work with survivors from the point of crisis and offer intensive support to help ensure short-term and long-term safety.

·Maintain multi-agency links and partnerships through protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors of domestic violence.

·Empower service users by providing them with emotional and practical support, thus enabling them to access their rights, empowering them to make decisions and increasing their life options.

·Inform survivors of full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

Casework Management

·To advise and support LGBT survivors of domestic violence.

·To undertake advocacy casework, working with survivors following an initial assessment of their needs, working within a structured key-working relationship.

·To provide one-to-one-emotional, practical, legal and advocacy support to survivors through the development of an individual support plan, including risk assessments, safety planning and assistance in accessing other relevant services such as the police, counselling, housing, and legal services.

·To support LGBT survivors of domestic violence who are going through the criminal justice system.

·To develop and maintain good working relationships and links with other agencies, referring service users to appropriate specialist agencies where necessary as part of a support plan and in consultation with them.

·To ensure that any issues in relation to child or adult protection concerns are responded to in line with Birmingham LGBT’s policies and are brought to the immediate attention of the line manager.

·To deliver training on LGBT domestic violence.

·To work within Birmingham LGBT’s policies and procedures.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Information Management

·To participate in the collection and maintenance of information on relevant referral agencies and local services.

·To ensure high quality and effective statistical monitoring is undertaken at all times in accordance with Birmingham LGBT’s procedures.

·To produce monitoring reports as requested by the Office of the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner.

·To maintain accurate, confidential service-user records of contact details and interventions, ensuring that personal information is up-to-date and that it is kept secure and confidential at all times in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Birmingham LGBT’s procedures.

·To ensure that feedback from service users and agencies is actively sought to inform the continuous improvement and development of the service.

Professional Development and Training

·To keep up-to-date with developments in legislation, policy and local and national government initiatives that address domestic violence.

·To attend and prepare for regular meetings with the line manager and to participate in individual appraisals in accordance with Birmingham LGBT’s policies and procedures.

·To attend internal or external training events, meetings or forums, as requested by the line manager and in line with the post-holder’s professional development plan.

·To attend regular team meetings.

·To carry out other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required by the line manager.

We are a UK-based international NGO with ambitious plans for growth. We work through local partners in East Africa to improve health and wellbeing in marginalised communities, focusing on reproductive health, and a one-health approach that also incorporates environmental protection.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee all financial aspects of our UK and international operations. This is a critical role that ensures our financial stewardship is sound and our systems are effective.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Ensuring timely and accurate bookkeeping and preparing monthly management accounts.

• Preparing statutory accounts and managing the annual audit process.

• Managing donor grants, including producing budgets for applications and preparing financial reports.

• Ensuring compliance with UK charity financial regulations (Charity SORP).

• Providing financial capacity-building support to our in-country partners.

About You

You are a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with at least five years of experience in financial management, including some in the charity or NGO sector. You have a strong working knowledge of UK charity financial regulations and are proficient with accounting software, especially SAGE, and Microsoft Excel.

You are a proactive self-starter with excellent analytical and communication skills, able to work both independently and as part of a small, dynamic team. Most importantly, you are committed to CHASE Africa’s mission to improve health and wellbeing in East Africa.
