Safe Passage International is a leading international NGO working to champion the rights of refugees and displaced people. We help unaccompanied children and vulnerable adults access safe and legal routes to protection, and we advocate for systemic change across Europe.

We are seeking a strategic and values-driven Head of Finance to lead our finance function across the UK, France, and Greece. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, sustainability, and operational excellence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a robust international finance function, ensuring strong internal controls and compliance.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, treasury, audit, and financial reporting.

Our charity, Carers Support, works across Bristol and S. Glos to support unpaid family carers who are supporting their loved ones at home. Our Young Carers Service provides help and support to children and young people aged 8-18, their families, and professionals working with young carers.

Young carers are children and young people who look after someone in their family who has a disability, a long-term illness, or is affected by mental ill health or substance misuse.

We currently have a vacancy in our dynamic, creative and supportive Young Carers team, for this new role that with work with Young Carers Voice Group to strengthen and develop the voice of young carers guiding the improvement of support for young carers in the Young Carers Services and in education, health and social care sectors.

· Increase the number of young carers involved in Young Carers Voice Group through working with the YCS team and schools.

· Support YCV to develop and implement their annual action plan through organising a creative and engaging YCV programme of bi-weekly evening sessions.

· Liaise with local education, health and social care services to enable young carers voice to influence improved support for young carers.

What the job involves

We’re looking for a Senior Supporter Journeys Executive to help us shape how our supporters experience our charity. Working at the heart of the Individual Giving team, you’ll design and deliver engaging, insight-led journeys that build loyalty, reduce attrition, and encourage long-term support.

This is an exciting time for the charity as we're delivering a new 3-year fundraising strategy with a particular focus on loyalty. In this newly created role, you'll play a key part in making sure every touchpoint, from the first welcome to ongoing engagement, feels personal, timely, and meaningful.

You'll be responsible for developing and improving multi-channel journeys for both new and existing supporters, coordinating the creation of journeys from various channels to help increase conversion. You’ll also support the design and rollout of journeys for key segments, including legacy enquirers and tribute fund donors.

Working with our data and insight colleagues, you’ll monitor journey performance using key metrics like retention and lifetime value. You'll use our CRM and Email Service Provider to identify opportunities, track activity, and coordinate testing of messaging and value propositions to maximise engagement.

As a key collaborator, you’ll work with colleagues across the organisation and with external agencies to ensure our supporter journeys are joined up and focused on the individual.  

What we want from you

This role is a great fit for someone with experience in Individual Giving, donor stewardship, or similar supporter experience roles. You'll have a strong understanding of what drives loyalty and retention, and a clear grasp of donor lifetime value.

Your project coordination skills will be essential as you manage multiple priorities across teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient delivery. We need someone who’s comfortable working with data and insight to inform decisions, using CRMs (ideally Raiser’s Edge) and email platforms like Adestra to improve supporter journeys and campaign performance. You'll also have a good working knowledge of direct marketing concepts and multi-channel delivery, including mail, email, and digital.

We're looking for an independent thinker who can not only manage projects but also proactively identify and develop new opportunities from their own observations. With your collaborative mindset, you'll be able to work effectively across teams and adapt to changing priorities, always focused on delivering an exceptional supporter experience that's insight-led and truly impactful.

About the role

This is a key role within the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team. You will represent the organisation externally with funders and work internally with colleagues to identify opportunities for funding, in the preparation of proposals and thereafter, reports. 
 

About you

To be successful in this role you must have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a plan to grow Trust & Grant income, successfully meeting or exceeding fundraising targets from a variety of funders and experience managing relationships with statutory funders and trust and foundations. You will have experience of managing fundraisers and supporting them to manage their priorities and portfolios. You will have experience of measuring and monitoring income and expenditure, and team performance.

It’s essential that you have excellent communication skills and can build relationships across the organisation to develop strong fundraising ideas and support engagement with senior staff in building relationships with trusts. You will have experience of managing donor funded grants including review of financial information, preparation of donor reports and donor compliance. You must have experience and knowledge of statutory and grant fundraising research tools and grant writing in the UK charity sector.

Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Engagement, you will play a key role in implementing fundraising plans that focus on researching, building relationships, and providing exceptional stewardship to corporate partners and major donors. This position will actively contribute to the development of broader fundraising strategies to support the organisation's growth.  In addition, the role is responsible for the creation and growth of a legacy giving programme. This will involve working with solicitors, accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals to identify potential legators. You will engage in research, build relationships, and host targeted events to cultivate support for legacy giving. Furthermore, you will collaborate with the Head of Fundraising and Engagement and the Marketing and Communications Lead to develop strategies for marketing legacies and expanding this critical area of support.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled multi-tasker with strong project management and interpersonal abilities, capable of meeting tight deadlines and managing important partnerships effectively.

About the role

Reporting in to the Partnership & Strategy Lead, the Contracts and Portfolio Manager provides strategic oversight and management of Christian Aid’s restricted funding portfolio across the Multi-Country Cluster (MCC).

The post-holder will ensure effective delivery, compliance, and reporting for donor-funded programmes while contributing to Christian Aid’s organisational values and goals, and will play a key role in building relationships with donors, ensuring contract compliance, and supporting programme teams and partners in delivering high-quality programmes aligned with organisational values and goals, while fostering a mindset of connection and enhancing collaboration. 

The role is critical for ensuring that each programme achieves an integrated total economy approach, with all work (donor funded or not) fitting into the programme focus and partnerships driven new model.

Some of the main responsibilities of the role of Contracts and Portfolio Manager include:

• Lead the management and oversight of restricted programme delivery across the MCC aligning with organisational values and goals, while ensuring complementarity with unrestricted initiatives.
• Provide management oversight for effective contract management and compliance for all donor contracts within the MCC restricted income portfolio, to ensure maximum impact.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external donor contacts as the main point of contact for Christian Aid to foster a mindset of connection.
• Oversee donor-funded programme expenditure budgets and appeal funds, advising the MCC SLT to ensure teams have what they need to deliver donor funded work, e.g. correct staffing in place to ensure regular reviews and corrective action taken as needed.
• Implement a robust donor portfolio risk management framework and support audits to ensure consistent high-quality work is delivered, and ensures the donor portfolio is strategic and delivers on strategic focus and model.
• Work closely with MEAL colleagues to ensure donor reporting obligations are met across the MCC contract portfolio, ensuring consistency of delivery and alignment with decolonised MEAL approaches.
• Foster a team mindset by engaging in a dynamic way across the cluster, and by providing coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities for the Restricted Funding Officer.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as MEAL, Finance, Advocacy, and Operations to ensure integrated programming approaches and foster a mindset of connection.

About you

Who we're looking for

Essential:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in business, economics, international development, or a related discipline.
• Substantial experience managing multi-million-pound donor-funded programmes across multiple geographies, in collaboration with key MCC staff.
• Understanding donor compliance requirements
• Detailed understanding of donor compliance requirements for institutional donors such as governments or private foundations.
• Significant expertise in financial planning, monitoring, reporting, and risk management for restricted funding portfolios.
• Demonstrable experience in managing audits and due diligence processes with donors or external stakeholders.

Desirable:

• Demonstrable experience working within humanitarian programming contexts.

Job Title: Senior Supervising Social Worker (Specialist Step Forward from Residential Hub)

Salary: £37,088 per annum (increasing to £41,208 after 18 months) + £750 per annum Homeworking Allowance + £1,500 per annum Out of Hours Allowance (once participating on the rota)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supervising Social Worker to support our first hub of foster carers dedicated to caring for children stepping forward from residential care. You will supervise and support a hub of foster carers and a small number of specialist ‘Step Forward’ foster carers. In partnership with Local Authorities, you will contribute to matching identified children, undertaking pre-placement assessments, preparation and introductions. You will also play a key role in building relationships with new carers prior to approval.
