What is the overall purpose of the role?

At Youth Action Alliance (YAA), our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present and promote their ambitions for the future.

We are ambitious to grow, to continue supporting more young people and influence positive change. To do this we are looking to appoint a Business Support Officer to provide a range of financial support duties and administer the organisation’s general ledger and finance system.

This post will provide high-quality support to the technology and operations of the organisation, to ensure the smooth running of the main site and enable YAA to meet and deliver on its core objectives and obligations.

The post holder will provide administrative support to YAA, covering a wide range of tasks and activities including (but not limited to) procurement coordination, travel and logistics, department meetings and off-site activities, diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking for our board and meetings for staff, members and stakeholders. 

General Requirements

• To support the delivery of Youth Action Alliance
• To ensure a friendly, professional and informative service to all visitors and stakeholders, ensuring that any enquiries are responded to sensitively and appropriately
• To maintain a diary and manage all incoming calls and all correspondence
• To develop good working relationships across all YAA teams and external partners

• To add participants, staff and registers of all projects to inhouse software and run reports from the system as/when required
• To coordinate and deliver inductions to new starters, ensuring all staff are DBS checked and all training certificates are updated as required
• To liaise with the CEO to ensure all staff, facilitator and contractors' contracts/SLAs are up-to-date 
• To process all organisational income and expenditure and maintain and update all financial documentation accurately
• To assist and support all staff with the smooth operation of all finance matters
• To provide accounts against budgets for the Board of Trustee meeting
• Data analysis, reporting and using the data that we collect to help YAA fulfil its aims and evidence impact 

Person Specification Essential

• A college equivalent qualification
• Experience in developing and implementing administrative systems
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good Organisational and administrative skills and experience
• Database experience – experience in managing and administering databases, or a willingness to learn
• Excellent time-keeper and manages own time effectively to keep to deadlines
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently whilst managing complex workloads

This is a senior leadership position offering a pivotal opportunity to shape our organization's financial and operational future. The Head of Finance and Operations will provide strategic guidance while ensuring the efficient and effective daily operations of all financial and administrative functions.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will deputize in their absence, contribute significantly to our organizational growth and success, and ensure a robust and compliant financial framework.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial & Operational Leadership

• Partner with the CEO to develop and implement long-term financial and operational strategies, including horizon scanning and risk management.

• Manage the organization's financial systems, specifically overseeing and optimizing the use of QuickBooks for all accounting and reporting functions.

• Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

2. Financial Management & Oversight

• Provide financial insights and analysis to support fundraising strategies and donor reporting.

4. Leadership & Governance

• Deputize for the CEO as needed, ensuring continuity across all operations.

• Maintain strong relationships with board members, providing comprehensive and insightful quarterly financial reports to foster understanding and engagement.

• Provide strategic leadership to your team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Be responsible for managing relationships with our US bookkeeper (consultant) and both UK and US auditors, and for the line management of the UK Finance and Admin Officer.

5. Operational Excellence

• Lead and manage a team of finance and operations professionals.

• Develop and implement efficient systems and processes to optimize performance across all administrative functions.

• Monitor and assess operational activities, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.

• Conduct regular cost analysis and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Person Specification

Essential

• Professional accounting or finance qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).

• Proven experience in a senior finance and operations role (at least three years experience).

• Experience in preparing UK statutory accounts and managing external audits. 

• In-depth knowledge of UK FRS 102 and Charities SORP. Exposure to/experience of US GAAP.

• Experience in preparing the annual budget, working closely with budget holders.

• Experience in supporting grant management.

• High proficiency in using financial software. (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero etc.)

We are looking for an Adult Carer Wellbeing Navigator, employed by Sutton Carers Centre and based within the Wellbeing Team at Sutton Talking Therapies as well as our Centre. In this role, you will provide both practical and emotional support to Carers - helping them to set goals, develop effective coping strategies, and strengthen their confidence by accessing appropriate therapeutic interventions. 

You will bring experience of working with people facing difficulties around their mental health, offering person-centred support designed to improve their overall health and wellbeing. You also will have knowledge of the wider issues that may affect mental health, including the particular challenges and rewards of caring for others.

About the Team:

We are seeking a proactive and ambitious Philanthropy Officer to join our team at Princess Alice Hospice. This is an exciting time to join us as we embark on a new programme of transformational change, presenting numerous opportunities to create impactful relationships with individual supporters to significantly boost our income.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Philanthropy and pay a pivotal role in delivering and expanding our Major Gift programme, as part of our busy and highly successful fundraising team which raises over £3 million annually. This is a vital contribution to the £11.5 million needed each year to provide our free, high-quality care to our local communities.

About the role:

This role will work directly to secure income from individual supporters contributing £5,000 or more annually. Working independently and in partnership with the Head of Philanthropy, Trust and Foundation Lead and other senior stakeholders, the Philanthropy Officer will drive donor engagement and development, through focused relationship management, impactful communication and innovative stewardship.

Key responsibilities include collaborating across the Philanthropy team, with fundraising colleagues, and hospice networks to build a robust prospect pipeline and design and implement personalised supporter journeys that track and monitor progress, deepen relationships and secure income.

This role will also be responsible for engagement and communication activities to support the Philanthropy programme, including event management, group communications and appeals.

Candidates who can demonstrate excellent writing, relationship and stakeholder management in other sectors will also be considered.

PROGRAMMES COORDINATOR, YOUTH LEADERSHIP

Job Purpose: To work with the Youth & Universities team to deliver F&BF’s programmes and projects

Salary: £29,802 – £32,565, depending on experience

Contract: 1 year fixed term

Location: London

Hours: 37.5 hours/week including occasional evening meetings

Reports to: Rachel Cohen, Senior Programmes Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

All activities will be undertaken in collaboration with the Youth Voice & Universities team.

Delivery

· To support delivery of the UN award-winning ParliaMentors programme (1.5 days per week):

o Being responsible for 2 teams of university students.

o Supporting 12 London-based students by: having 1:1 coaching calls with each of them to offer guidance and support; conducting sessions to support the teams with their social action projects and identifying area for development; conducting sessions to work through any team dynamic issues that arise.

o Supporting with facilitation of workshops related to social action, politics, leadership and interfaith.

o Administrative and logistical support (e.g., room bookings, processing reimbursements, coordinating student travels).

· To support delivery of City Bridge Trust (CBT) work (3.5 days per week):

o Responsible for overseeing the deliverables for this funder, ensuring all deadlines are met.

o Responsible for delivering four interfaith trainings for Local Authorities within London.

o Planning and delivering the annual Youth Interfaith Summit, the UK’s largest interfaith event for the climate.

o Coordinating the Youth Advisory Board, a group of young interfaith activists who will codesign the Summit.

o Responsible for coordinating the remainder of the Youth Forum for Faith and Ecology in partnership with LSE.

o Identifying and facilitating partnerships between alumni network and other relevant organizations.

o Coordinate collection and analysis of M&E data for internal and funder reporting, and production of case studies.

· To lead on social media for the Y&U team

o Responsible for creating a minimum of four posts per month for Instagram and LinkedIn for the F&BF and ParliaMentors accounts.

· To perform administrative and logistical tasks using agreed process and conventions including planning, activity/event delivery, finance, tracking expenditure.

The Faith and Belief Forum is the UK’s leading interfaith organisation, dedicated for nearly 30 years to building understanding and strong relationships between people of all faiths and beliefs. We are seeking an individual experienced in developing bids in response to tenders, research and consulting opportunities. The role will lead the end-to-end bidding process, from identifying and nurturing suitable applied research, evaluation, service and systemic design and consultancy opportunities. The role involves reaching out to and  fostering relationships with potential bid partners, developing compelling proposals (involving the wider team as required), managing bid submissions, adherence to compliance requirements and deadlines, and supporting the team with preparation for interviews.

This role is instrumental in expanding the organisation’s client base, enhancing our visibility, and fostering sustainable growth through effective business development strategies.

As a team, we operate remotely across the UK with regular project-related travel. Our staff work from home or when appropriate, together in local co-working spaces, and normally, a few times a year we meet as a whole team for a few days to develop and connect.

Job Role:

Team Leaders at the Centre are responsible for the day-to-day delivery by their respective team. This role will contribute to and support the Delivery Manager to achieve the overall objective of the Centre, which is to deliver services that enable our community to thrive.

The Team Leader – Energy and Financial Wellbeing will line manage a number of Advisor and Caseworkers and ensure that they deliver our services effectively and in line with our ambition. Beyond these management responsibilities, they will also engage in front-line delivery within this area. The split between front-line delivery and line management for this role will be agreed with the Delivery Manager, but we expect it to be around 50%-line management and 50% front-line delivery. The role will involve understanding Energy and Financial Wellbeing work in our context and supporting the Advisors to deliver
their objectives.

The IT systems and infrastructure transition lead will lead on the implementation of the key strands of the recently completed strategic review of IT services at Fulham Palace. The strategy and its outputs are part funded by external grant making organisations.

We are looking for a candidate who is qualified by experience or who has a degree in an IT related field. You should have a strong IT project delivery background with a proven track record of successful technology integration and transformation projects. This is an important role in a small communications team where you will help raise our international organisation’ s global profile across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. 

This fully remote contracting role is perfect for someone with some communications experience and a keen interest in supporting countries across the world to build better public infrastructure through open governance principles (accountability, transparency, participation, multi stakeholder working).

As the only Spanish speaking member of the communications team, you will lead on social media and news stories across Latin America and therefore fluent Spanish and English (both written and spoken) are essential, in addition knowledge of the Latin America region would be useful.

This is a fully remote consultancy role. You will not be paid on an hourly/daily basis but instead paid a fixed amount (as set out above) each month for completing agreed deliverables with your line manager. As a rough guide, we expect this will take around 18-20 hours a week. We are open to you working the hours in a way that works for your life-work balance and delivers our business needs, subject to being available for key meetings/deliverables during the week and in agreement with your line manager. Whilst this role is initially for 6 months, there is potential for this to extend or develop into a longer-term role. 

Key responsibilities: 

Drafting content (60%):

• researching and drafting news articles in English;
• creating ideas for, and drafting of, social media in both English and Spanish;
• creating digital media in both English and Spanish for social media accounts and website,
• using Canva and other software; 
• drafting newsletters in both English and Spanish.

Regular communications admin tasks (40%):

• uploading and updating website content;

Essential experience and attributes:

• Both Spanish and English fluency in speaking and writing (this will be tested at interview)

• Experience with social, digital and communication platforms e.g Canva, scheduling platforms, mailchimp, wordpress, google analytics.

The Finance Officer will work within the Finance Department to provide essential day today financial processing, support and advice. The post-holder will be a key member of the team in keeping accurate and up to date records of the organisations financial activities on both the accounting system & associated files.

You’ll be based at the Wildlife Trust’s Head Office at Centre of the Earth, 42 Norman Street, Birmingham, B18 7EP, with some work at our EcoPark site in Small Heath and occasional travel across the region and nationally. 

Key Responsibilities

• Creation and maintenance of processes and systems to ensure the smooth running of the finance function including adding new suppliers and customers to the system
• To be responsible for keeping up to date and accurate records of financial transactions on Excel and the accounting system
• To raise and issue sales invoices, follow up outstanding invoices and resolve any issues.
• To liaise with suppliers and creditors to maintain relationships as part of cash flow management.
