Job summary:
The Head of Communications, Marketing & Digital is responsible for shaping, delivering, and evaluating the charity’s communications, brand, digital engagement, and marketing activity.
Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Communications, the postholder plays a pivotal role in growing the charity’s profile, strengthening engagement, and ensuring all communication channels, platforms and content are effective, accessible, and aligned with organisational goals.
In a small charity, this is both a strategic and hands-on role, requiring creativity, strong digital skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key responsibilities and duties:
1. Communications & brand
- Lead the delivery of the charity’s communications strategy to increase visibility, trust and engagement.
- Manage and protect the charity’s brand, ensuring consistency of messaging, tone, and visual identity.
- Oversee and produce high-quality content for website, newsletters, reports, blogs, case studies, and information materials.
- Support the Director in developing campaigns that unite messaging, fundraising, marketing, and advocacy.
2. Marketing & supporter engagement
- Lead marketing activity to grow audiences, increase engagement, increase participation in our services, and support fundraising objectives.
- Work closely with colleagues to create compelling campaign assets, supporter journeys, and integrated marketing plans.
- Develop marketing materials, key messages, and digital assets that support awareness, engagement, service numbers and income growth.
3. Digital leadership
- Oversee the charity’s digital ecosystem, including website, email marketing, social media and CRM integrations.
- Ensure digital content is accessible, user-focused, streamlined and optimised for engagement and conversion.
- Fully review website development and maintenance, including UX improvements, analytics, SEO, and content.
- Oversee data-led insights and dashboards to measure digital performance and inform decision-making.
4. Media & public relations
- Build media relationships and respond to press requests in coordination with the Director.
- Draft press releases, statements, Q&As, and key messages for external audiences.
- Support reactive and crisis communications, ensuring timely, accurate responses and reputational protection.
5. Internal communication & collaboration
- Support effective internal communication, ensuring staff team, Program Facilitators and volunteers are informed and engaged.
- Work collaboratively across teams to gather stories, insights, and content that bring the charity’s work to life.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on communications, brand, and digital best practice.
6. Other
- Manage agency and supplier relationships where relevant.
- Stay informed about sector trends and emerging tools that could benefit the charity.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential experience
- Significant experience in communications, marketing and digital roles, preferably within a charity or mission-driven organisation.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering digital and communications content across multiple platforms to multiple audiences.
- Experience managing websites, CRM systems, email marketing tools, and social media channels.
- Demonstrable experience in audience engagement, digital analytics, and campaign performance measurement.
- Experience in managing a brand profile across different audiences and different products, ensuring consistency and authority over time.

About Working Well Trust
Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.
We are recruiting Employment Advisors to join our IPS service, you will be based in Tower Hamlets, working 35 hours per week. Working Well Trust's services have previously been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.
You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.
What you’ll be doing
You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led. You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.
What you’ll need
Experience in employment support is not essential. We are looking for someone who brings:
- A genuine desire to support people into meaningful employment.
- Commitment to person-centred work and either experience of or enthusiasm to learn the IPS approach.
- Confidence engaging with employers and promoting the benefits of our service.
- Good organisation skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.

By collaborating with various departments and stakeholders, the BI Lead ensures that data-driven decision-making and performance measurement are integral to ways-of-working, enhancing overall effectiveness and fostering continuous improvement.
This role develops and implements organisational data strategies and frameworks for measuring the impact and performance of the MS Society’s work, aligned to organisational strategy, covering data collection, analysis, and reporting, and ensuring consistency, accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of impact and performance evidence and insights.
Experience of stakeholder management both internal and external; and designing and delivering complex analysis and evaluations is required.
With one direct report, we require a seasoned manager / lead and the person applying should also have proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) for advanced data analysis and modelling (e.g. logic models, theory of change and other evaluation models), and experience in using survey tools and software for data collection and analysis.

BrightPIP (Brighton Parent/Infant Psychological Therapy) is a specialist infant mental health charity supporting babies aged 0–3 and their families across Brighton & Hove and Sussex. We provide early therapeutic intervention to strengthen relationships and prevent cycles of intergenerational trauma.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and highly organised Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator to grow BrightPIP’s visibility, income and community engagement. This role sits at the heart of BrightPIP’s external presence, working closely with clinicians, trustees and supporters to tell our story and build sustainable income.
This is a key role within the charity. You will lead our day-to-day marketing and communications, and support and deliver community fundraising campaigns and events. You will also build strong relationships with supporters, nurseries/schools, community groups and corporate partners.
This role is ideal for a confident self-starter who enjoys storytelling, connecting with people, and shaping a growing role within a values-driven organisation. The role will evolve as the charity grows, offering opportunities to develop new campaigns, partnerships and communications.
You will report to the Clinical Director and work closely with the clinical team, fundraiser and trustees.

- Lead BrightPIP’s marketing, communications and brand presence across digital and print channels

Democracy Classroom is a partnership of over 100 civil society organisations from the youth, education and democracy sectors working together to support young people to engage in elections and democracy.
The network is supported by the Democracy Classroom platform, which brings together over 1000 free educational resources for teachers and youth practitioners.
Democracy Classroom is a non-partisan, UK-wide initiative and a leading voice for the sector, reaching teachers and youth practitioners in 95% of the UK’s parliamentary constituencies. It coordinates the collective voice of organisations committed to democratic education, including through its joint submission to the Department for Education’s Curriculum and Assessment Review and the publication of The Roadmap to Votes at 16, a collaborative vision for the implementation of Votes at 16.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Programme Coordinator, you’ll support the work of our Communications and Networks Team while helping keep our office and digital platforms running seamlessly.
You will:
Website and digital

Maintain and update the Democracy Classroom website with resources and programme content.

Work with colleagues to upload reports, blogs and event details.
Operations

Oversee day-to-day office administration, including supplies, IT support liaison and record-keeping.

Support finance processes, including invoices, expenses and financial tracking.

Maintain key operational systems such as our CRM, database and filing systems.
Events and programmes

Coordinate logistics for meetings and events (online and in-person), including venues, catering and participant communications.

Support programme delivery by liaising with facilitators, partners and participants.
Team support

Provide diary management and scheduling support for senior staff where needed.

Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes and track actions.

Assist with recruitment, onboarding and HR processes.
You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to wider organisational projects and learn new skills as our work evolves.
The job is based on a 14 month fixed term contract (including a 6-month probation period), with opportunities for extension.
The Politics Project is based in central London, with a mixture of in person and remote working. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Occasional travel to elsewhere in the UK and working unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends may be required.
