Job summary

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a charity that supports members who work in, or are interested in, tropical medicine and global health.

In September 2028 it is hosting the International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria (ICTMM) on behalf of the International Federation for Tropical Medicine (IFTM), in Liverpool, UK.

ICTMM 2028 expects to receive over 1,500 attendees, hopefully with over 40% coming from outside of Europe. It is an educational meeting with a high proportion of the content driven by abstracts. The event is being delivered by RSTMH with the support of a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO).

The ICTMM Events Manager has responsibility for coordinating the development and delivery of ICTMM 2028 at RSTMH, working with the RSTMH team, the PCO, the event venue ACC Liverpool, IFTM, and other suppliers.  The individual would be based at RSTMH where the role would start on a part-time basis and move to be full-time 17 months before the event.

The role requires an able self-starter who understand the logistics and considerations of running a scientific, abstract-driven event of 1,500+ attendees, of working with a PCO and of educational events attended by a high number of international guests.  There will be some travel to Liverpool and the role would require some overnight stays there before and during the event.

The candidate needs to have excellent event management and project management skills, communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised and flexible with a great attention to detail.  They should be as comfortable developing an events strategy, as answering queries about tickets sales, and negotiating sponsorship. Alongside delivering the ICTMM meeting there are opportunities for partners to deliver events at the same venue, which are also the responsibility of the events manager.

The role will start as one day per week and then move to be full time as we approach the event. The current expected timings are

• Up until 31 March 2026 – 7 hours/1 day per week
• 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 – 21 hours/3 days per week
• 1 April 2027 to 30 September 2028 – 35 hours/ 5 days per week

Up to 1 April 2027 the role is purely office based, and there is flexibility to work the hours between Tuesday and Friday (not Mondays). The role has core hours of 10am-4pm so the working day needs to be within these hours.

The role may require work in the evenings or weekends and potential time staying in Liverpool.

Main responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive project plan for all aspects of ICTMM 2028, working with the PCO, and be responsible for ensuring all stakeholders meet deadlines leading up to the event
• Coordinate stakeholders working on ICTMM 2028, ensuring all are up to date with progress and relations run smoothly – including RSTMH, PCO, conference venue, IFTM, ICTMM Strategic, Sponsorship and Scientific Committees and other third parties
• Work with RSTMH CEO to recruit Committee Chairs and members, develop a long list of partners and sponsors for funding and support, and develop legal agreements for these
• Develop and disseminate accurate and timely content about ICTMM through a dedicated website, a dedicated newsletter and other marketing materials, which is high quality, and accessible
• Work with the RSTMH CEO and PCO to deliver sponsorship and other financial support for the event
• Help coordinate meetings of the ICTMM Committees where needed
• Assist the PCO with activities to maximise attendance to the event
• Help deliver travel and accommodation, plus assist with visas for speakers and sponsored attendees
• Oversight and responsibility for the budget, and re-forecasting of income and expenditure for the event
• Work with the PCO on the logistics of the event management e.g. exhibition space and registration
• Assist RSTMH and the Scientific Committee to secure plenary speakers, assisting with logistics
• Establish and manage a system to monitor and evaluate progress towards ICTMM 2028
• Manage all ICTMM event enquiries that come through to RSTMH and forward to the relevant team
• Develop systems and processes to ensure we capture all data from ICTMM into our CRM

Purpose of the job

This role is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to join the UK Youth Network Delivery Department. The Summer Jobs Programme is the largest programme in UK Youth’s portfolio. Funded until the end of 2026, the programme is currently operating in its second year. The purpose of this role is to identify and secure employment placements, including those that generate some income, for The Summer Jobs Programme as well as overseeing the employer journey from start to end. Working closely with the Summer Jobs Programme Manager, the Employer Engagement Manager has key input into the work experience aspect of the programme. 

The Summer Jobs Programme is a paid employment initiative running from July to September 2025 and 2026, supporting vulnerable young people in England and Wales. It aims to reduce youth violence and improve future engagement in education, training, and work by removing barriers to employment and offering structured, empowering opportunities. Young people begin with a one-week pre-employment training course, followed by a five-week job placement. Throughout, they’re supported by both a local youth worker and an employer-based supervisor to ensure they receive consistent guidance.

Funded by the Youth Endowment Fund and Youth Futures Foundation, the programme launched in 2024 with over 400 participants and has expanded in 2025. A built-in Randomised Control Trial (RCT) will assess its impact on youth violence and long-term outcomes. In 2026, the programme will grow further, completing a three-year period of delivery and investment aimed at driving long-term, evidence-based change.

Alongside being their DPO, you will provide specialist support on areas such as subject access requests (SARs), monitor emerging legislation, develop and maintain template agreements, and ensure our client have access to legal expertise via external contractors. A key part of the role will be horizon scanning to keep our client informed and prepared for upcoming regulatory changes, which will include thinking about the governance of artificial intelligence for our client and federation. You will also support shared data services, including the data lake, and help align CRM systems and third-party platforms with compliance requirements. Additionally you will monitor our clients risk exposure and compliance. We expect around 30/50% of the role will be supporting them, with the other up to 70% providing support and consultancy to the Trusts. 

This role is critical in embedding a solid data culture, ensuring Trusts have the right processes and tools to manage their data responsibly, effectively, and in alignment with evolving legal and regulatory frameworks. 

You are an experienced information management and data protection professional with a deep understanding of GDPR and data governance. You have a track record of managing data protection services, providing expert guidance on privacy, compliance, and best practices. You are confident in interpreting and implementing data protection legislation, supporting teams to embed robust information management processes, and ensuring compliance across a complex federated organisation. 

You are skilled in horizon scanning, keeping ahead of emerging data regulations and risks, and ensuring our client remain compliant and proactive in response to legislative changes. The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity that manages over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We are now looking for a Head of Projects to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 36 hours per week.

The Role

Working with the Director of Estates & Projects, as our Head of Projects, you will lead our Projects team in the delivery of a diverse range of capital projects across the Royal Parks estate.

From conserving historic sites to delivering innovative modern upgrades, you will oversee the successful planning and execution of projects that enhance and protect some of London’s most iconic green spaces.

In this strategic leadership role, you will lead, develop and motivate a high performing team of Project Managers, a Senior Architectural Designer, a Project Support Officer and two Assistant Project Managers.

You will operate as a member of the senior management team in the Estates & Projects directorate, and will shape and contribute to the development of the five-year capital plan, aligning projects with organisational goals, and managing the department’s risk and financial planning.

Alongside working with consultants and stakeholders, you will lead on consultancy and contractor frameworks, champion sustainability, accessibility, and innovation across all project work.

Additionally, you will:

• Take the lead on projects until they are fully resourced
• Critique project documentation and promote best practices
• Oversee financial forecasting, budget monitoring, and long-term capital planning
• Engage and communicate with senior stakeholders, local authorities, and heritage bodies

About You

To be considered as our Head of Projects, you will need:

• Extensive proven experience delivering large-scale and complex construction and refurbishment projects
• Experience in a leadership role with line management responsibilities
• Experience in contract management
• Experience managing external multi-disciplinary professionals
• In-depth knowledge of project and programme management delivery methodologies, project management documentation, governance, portfolio management practices and strategic planning principles
• A project management qualification (or the willingness to work towards this)

At Action Tutoring, data is central to everything we do. With an evidence-based culture and impact at the centre of our strategy, gathering and analysing high-quality data is a key priority.

Our highly customised Salesforce database supports every aspect of our work—capturing and managing data from volunteers, pupils, schools, and tutoring sessions. As Data and Insights Manager, you will make sure our system remains fit for purpose and help turn data into meaningful insights that can inform decision-making.

Duties and responsibilities 

Salesforce and systems development

• Collaborate with external Salesforce development consultants to continue building our system capabilities and design.
• Design and oversee the collection of stakeholder, tutoring delivery, quality assurance and evaluation data, working with colleagues to ensure data is collected in a timely, accurate and consistent manner.

Team leadership and support

• Line manage the Data Lead, ensuring their work is of high quality and they have clear development objectives.
• Plan and oversee training and support for the whole organisation on the effective use of Salesforce, developing their understanding of the purpose and value of data.

Data insights

• Support the Head of Impact and Quality to generate insights from data to inform evidence-based decision-making across departments, including through dashboards.

• Data governance

• Champion data security and GDPR compliance across the organisation, including contributing to the upkeep of privacy notices, responding to queries, and facilitating stakeholder GDPR rights.
• Any other reasonable tasks as per the request of the CEO.

About you (person specification)

Qualifications criteria:

• Right to work in the UK.

We are looking for some of the following attributes, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others:

• Two or more years experience with Salesforce administration.
• Experience working with complex datasets in Excel (including data cleaning in preparation for import, export or analysis).
• Experience analysing and visualising quantitative data.
• Good understanding of GDPR compliance and processes.
• Able to design new processes that are scalable, impactful and user-focused.
• Experience managing projects effectively.
• Confident in communicating change to stakeholders at all levels.
• Creative and inquisitive about how technology and automation can improve efficiency.

You will be likely be more successful in this role if you have:

• Salesforce Administrator Certification (or on track to complete within the next six months).
• Line management experience.

• Experience using coding languages R, Python or SQL for data cleaning or analysis.
• Experience working in the charity or NGO sector.

About the role

As Head of External Affairs, you will lead a team of seven and set the strategic direction for our external affairs function. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring our media relations, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement activities enhance the Health Foundation’s reputation, support our strategic objectives, and position us as a leading voice in health and care policy.

As a senior member of the Communications team, you will be responsible for contributing to the leadership and smooth running of the Communications team, as well as providing advice to senior staff and colleagues across the Foundation. In this role, you will:

• Lead the external affairs team, providing direction, motivation, performance management and development for team members and working with them to develop a vision for first class external affairs at the Foundation.
• Lead our public affairs work, ensuring that our work is seen, our voice is heard, and we are influential at the highest levels in Westminster and Whitehall.
•  Oversee the effective management of the Foundation’s media relations by overseeing proactive and reactive media work, building relationships with journalists and providing robust media relations advice to senior staff and other colleagues
• Provide expert advice to the Chief Executive, other senior leaders and colleagues across the Foundation.

We are looking for a confident and strategic leader with a strong track record in media and public affairs, ideally within the health, public policy, or not-for-profit sectors. You will bring:

• Proven experience in leading high-performing communications or external affairs teams.
• Excellent public affairs and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
• A strong understanding of the UK media, with experience of leading proactive and reactive media work
• Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate complex issues into compelling narrative 
• Ability to write high quality briefings and other written materials for external and internal audiences.
• A deep commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and to embedding these values in your work.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across teams and disciplines.
