About the role
This role will continue to develop and deliver Allergy UK’s youth engagement initiative for our existing Youth Engagement Group for young adults living with allergies aged 18-25.
This role will also need to recruit members to a new Youth Engagement Group for young people living with allergies aged 13-17.
Owing to the nature of this role, the successful candidate, will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
We are excited to create and deliver projects focused on engaging young people who live with allergy and providing opportunities for them to have a voice and support them in raising awareness of the issues that affect their life. We are seeking young people’s participation and co-production in all activities we develop to support their needs. The role of Youth Engagement Officer will be to engage with young people across the UK, to ensure that they have the opportunities and support to shape and influence Allergy UK’s programmes and activities for young people living with allergy.
The successful individual will work to develop youth engagement opportunities which increase skills, confidence, and life chances through supporting young people living with this disease to overcome any barriers they face.
As a Youth Engagement Officer, you will have experience of working positively with young people and have a proactive nature. Organisation skills and initiative is a must as you will be the lead on our youth provision.You will be required to coordinate activities with young people such as online and in-person engagement, blogs, podcasts, learning and digital activities. In addition to this, you will need to effectively lead the young people to help them shape services for young people in the allergic community to better improve the standard of care that exists in the public, private and commercial sectors.
These activities will be centred on practice of co-production. We are looking for someone who wants to work as part of a team to engage young people, to highlight unheard voices and stories and promote progress and change through action.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, project manage and deliver exciting new co-production projects and establish positive links with young people and promote active participation in activities.
- Provide opportunities for young people to have a voice and support them in getting involved in Allergy UK’s awareness and public affairs to influence governmental change and improve services for young people with allergy.
- Create, develop and lead on the work of the Allergy UK Youth Forum.
- Support and develop young people to become champions and ambassadors for Allergy UK.
- Work collaboratively with a range of organisations including but not exclusively schools, local government, health and youth services and youth organisations.

How you will make a difference
This role supports the organisation through a strong focus on business intelligence, data collation, and analytics. It plays a critical part in ensuring contract compliance through the development of effective systems and supporting quality improvement. The role involves contract reporting and the preparation of PowerBI dashboards, apps, reports, and presentations to inform strategic decision-making.
Key areas of focus include Criminal Justice, Peer Support Groups, People Analytics, Fundraising, Finance, and Risk and Governance. The postholder will work across these domains to provide clear insights and contribute to organisational learning and development.

The National Lottery Community Fund is recruiting for a Communications Manager to play a vital role in the newly restructured communications and engagement function to deliver on our strategy, It Starts With Community.
The role is part of our ambitious transformation as we implement a significant pivot in our communications approach – building on our support for grant-making to demonstrate the powerful impact communities have in strengthening society and improving lives.
In this role, you’ll deliver integrated communications that bring our missions and the story of National Lottery funding to life. You’ll be the strategic voice behind the campaigns that highlight how communities are creating lasting social change.
You will focus on two key areas - your country, Scotland, and one of the four core missions - creating powerful alignment between them and helping to showcase the impact of community-led projects across the UK.
You’ll work closely with Strategic Communications Leads and other colleagues across the organisation to deliver communications plans that align with our corporate strategy and customer journey. Your work will help shape public understanding of the Fund, build trust with stakeholders, and inspire communities to engage with our funding.
We are looking for a creative and strategic communicator with a passion for storytelling. You’ll be experienced in developing integrated campaigns and working across teams to deliver high-impact communications.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop deep insight into at least one portfolio and mission, to enable you to implement effective communications plans for your mission and portfolio, aligned to the corporate plan, and the Fund’s customer journey, including supporting the Strategic Communications Lead to build and manage matrix teams.
- Provide communications support to portfolio and mission leads, including creating messaging, narrative and content, social and brand assets, working closely with colleagues in the wider team to deliver effective and impactful communications activities.
- Build relationships with journalists and lead on devolved media relations activities in your country, working closely with colleagues in the media team to deliver integrated activities, monitoring media and advising on opportunities and risks. Ensure rapid response to emerging issues with processes and protocol on lines to take and spokespeople, including participating in the out of hours on call rota.
- Liaise with colleagues in funding teams to identify opportunities for storytelling, working with the content manager to bring these to life
- Liaise with internal communications colleagues to ensure external communications generate engagement within the Fund
- Project manage and deliver corporate communications assets, including the annual report and corporate strategy updates.

Background
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. A UK registered charity, we work in collaboration with Palestinian communities and trusted local partners, and coordinate with key stakeholders and relevant clusters, to meet a wide range of health and social needs, from providing vital medical aid in emergencies, to supporting the development of better health services for the long term. We also uplift the voices of Palestinians, and campaign for an end to the barriers to health and dignity that come from living through occupation, displacement, discrimination and conflict.
Purpose of role
MAP is in a period of growth and rapid development, and as such, the incoming Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for the financial strategy and management of MAP and for the leadership of operational areas to help deliver the organisation’s mission and strategic goals. The COO provides support to the CEO in areas of governance, legal and risk management and may deputise for the CEO as required.
Responsibilities
Strategy, vision and leadership
- Be accountable to the CEO and Board in the areas of finance, technology, risk and compliance, supply chain and logistics, and safety and security.

Role - A strategic role, responsible for supporting, developing and maintaining effective partnerships to support the local VCSE sector and Redcar & Cleveland more generally. The post holder will also be the overall service lead (managing other team members), reporting to and working with the CEO in areas of quality, performance and service development.
Background (Summary)
Enhance is the newly funded VCSE infrastructure support service in Redcar and Cleveland made possible through the collaboration of a number of funders to fill a gap in local provision.
Lloyds Bank Foundation, Rank Foundation, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Tees Foundation and the Woodsmith Foundation have provided three years of funding and commissioned MVDA to develop and deliver a VCSE infrastructure service (Enhance) in Redcar and Cleveland.
Enhance will provide practical support to VCSE organisations based in the Redcar and Cleveland area who deliver services to local people and communities.
The service model for Enhance is based on three key areas:
Improvement – Providing practical support through an information and advice service. This will include for example advice on governance, funding, policy and practice
Growth - The development and delivery of a comprehensive training programme for all VCSEs in Redcar and Cleveland
Influence - Work to support the building and development of relationships; collaborative work across the VCSE sector and cross-sector partnerships
The service will be based in Redcar and Cleveland and will provide an outreach service in the more rural areas of the borough to ensure the services are accessible to all local VCSEs.
