About the role
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic supervisor or team leader to take up a full-time role within our organisation as a Project Supervisor to be part of our small and dedicated team. The role will be based in Southwark as well as potential for wider London working as you will be part several innovative housing projects in London supporting vulnerable households to sustain their tenancies. As well as a team line manager, you will be maintaining and developing partnership with the Council’s housing officers, solicitors, landlords, community services, social prescribers, and mental health support workers to ensure tailored support can be offered for each client. The objectives of these programmes are to avoid evictions, sustain tenancies, increase employment opportunities, improve wellbeing, and increase educational outcomes. You will be working in partnership with other stakeholders such as schools and local authorities to improve family health, build relationships and engage families and individuals and their networks of support.
About you
We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in staff management and project leadership, knowledge of housing polices, and with proven experience working with individuals who have complex needs.
You will be responsible for managing and developing partnerships, supporting data collection for reports and monitoring, and contributing to quality assurance processes. In addition, you will hold a small caseload, providing direct, holistic support to individuals as part of your role.
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and highly organised. You should be confident working independently, with a genuine passion for driving positive change. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to provide holistic support and think creatively to find solutions.

About you
Our ideal candidate is a dependable communicator who enjoys the day-to-day delivery of communications - planning and scheduling content, creating and posting on social media, drafting newsletters, updating the website, and producing simple graphics and videos. They are organised, detail-oriented, and help keep our communications running smoothly. They will also understand how to communicate across different geographies and audiences, and bring some familiarity with the UN system, as well as experience working in INGO or global health advocacy contexts.
The role
Key components of the role include:
- Social media content development - collaborate with internal subject specialists to produce consistent and frequent on-brand written and visual content for social channels, in support of brand and advocacy goals. You’ll use Canva, Adobe Creative Suite and AgoraPulse for this.
- Email - develop, write and send UnitedGMH’s regular email newsletter, working with internal staff to source news, updates and relevant content tailored for email subscribers.
- Website development - develop, maintain and update content for the UnitedGMH website - including uploading content and editing pages.
- Social media channel and community management - lead on day-to-day management and posting on UnitedGMH social media channels, including X, LinkedIn and Pinterest. Manage paid social campaigns where required. Use monitoring tools to manage social media comments (organic and paid).
- Brand guardian: Be a steward of the UnitedGMH brand, helping to ensure consistent application of visual identity and tone of voice across all external organisational outputs, maintaining high standards of design.
- Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting - create regular analytic reports for social, website and email channels.
- Editorial planning and communications calendar management - lead on the maintenance of the organisation’s communications calendar, ensuring content across channels is planned-in-advance of key advocacy moments.
- Team support - support the communications team through project management, meeting management, processing supplier invoices, keeping journalist lists up-to-date, and other responsibilities where needed.
- Ad-hoc support for the Global Mental Health Action Network - you’ll also provide a supporting function as needed for the GMHAN team, including tasks related to website and social management, plus others where needed.
Requirements
- Understanding, and experience in use, of online channels (incl. website content management systems (CMS) such as Wordpress and Squarespace, a broad spectrum of social media platforms and email marketing through Mailchimp)
- An excellent copywriter, with demonstrable experience crafting copy for different audiences - including for social media and email newsletters
- Strong research and proofreading skills, adapted to key audiences
- Comfortable prioritising and delivering on multiple pieces of work against tight timeframes
- Highly organised individual with experience of team administration support
- An understanding of using digital project management tools e.g. Trello
- An interest in mental health, advocacy and international development
- Strong relationship management skills
- Willingness to travel at least twice per annum and more if required

- Experience working in an advocacy / international NGO environment within a fast-paced globally distributed staff team

What you'll do:
- Oversee all induction and mandatory training, ensuring it meets organisational requirements

Key details

About the role

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Swinfen Hall. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This role will be prison based. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This is a fixed term role until 31st March 2026, with the opportunity to be made permanent subject to continued funding.
This role will be prison based. What you’ll be doing
As the Supporter Care Officer, you'll be part of wider fundraising team, reporting to brilliant Supporter Care Manager – a small but might team. You’ll be at the heart of helping deliver outstanding supporter care experience, assisting the smooth running of fundraising operations and smooth handling of non-supporter communications.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Making sure every supporter feels heard, valued, and appreciated
- Managing donation processes and supporter communications with care and efficiency

- Working closely with colleagues across teams to create a brilliant supporter experience
- Develop and refresh supporter journeys across engagement channels, working with Engagement and Digital teams

- Respond to supporter enquiries received by phone and email, acting as a first point of contact for supporters.
- Contribute to the integrity of the database by amending supporter details as necessary and recognising areas for improvement to support the Supporter Experience Manager with maintenance of the CRM.

Job Title: Freelance Facilitator
Reporting to: Senior Programme Lead

At Friends of PICU, we’re dedicated to supporting the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital Southampton, funding lifesaving equipment, providing family support, and enhancing care for critically ill and injured children. We’re looking for a Community and Events Fundraiser to lead and grow our community and events fundraising activities, inspire supporters, and make a lasting impact for families when they need it most.
The Role
As our Community and Events Fundraiser, you’ll be the driving force behind our community and event fundraising. You’ll build relationships with existing and new supporters, community groups, and corporate partners developing opportunities to raise income and awareness for Friends of PICU.
Working closely with our Operations Manager, you’ll deliver an annual calendar of exciting fundraising events, from local community challenges to large-scale campaigns, ensuring each activity connects people to our mission and delivers excellent supporter experiences.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) with hybrid working based partly at our charity office at University Hospital Southampton (2 – 3 days per week) and partly from home. Some evening and weekend work, plus travel across Hampshire and neighbouring counties will be required.
Key Responsibilities:

Sheffield Community Bike Project is a not-for-profit community cycle repair workshop that aims to improve access to cycling through three main activities:

SCBP is seeking to appoint a Bike Project Manager. Working closely with the CEO, trustees and volunteers, you will play a key role in ensuring our community workshop thrives as a welcoming, organised and sustainable space.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running of the project, support and manage our volunteer team, and develop new systems and initiatives to support the organisation’s growth. Your ability to manage volunteers to assist in the behind the scenes running of the project will be key. Please see the nominal granular responsibilities of the role in the table below.
Subject to funding, we will hopefully be hiring for a “Bike Project Administrator” role in the near future. This role may be managed by the Bike Project Manager.
SCBP is at a key moment of growth. Having taken on workshop premises in September 2024, we are now working to increase the number of sessions that we run, streamline our volunteer and participant experience, and expand the breadth of provision that we offer. At the same time, as a grassroots charity, central to our ethos is nurturing a sense of community ownership and collaboration. We aim to make the project a friendly, welcoming place to volunteer for people of all backgrounds and experiences. Another key part of our culture is our “hands-on-tools approach”: participants are encouraged to do cycle maintenance themselves with help from our volunteers.
