As Operations Manager (OM), you’ll lead safe, high‑quality services, guide a committed frontline team, ensure compliance, strengthen partnerships, and drive performance across all operations; keeping our work moving from outreach and hotspot engagement to groups, community stalls, and the everyday moments where trust is built. As part of BUBIC’s commitment to meeting people where they are, the post holder will also share night‑outreach duties with the Team Leader, working one evening per week (5pm-midnight, typically Wednesday or Friday) to reach those most visible and vulnerable at night, enabling early intervention, safer engagement, and stronger pathways into support. About the Project

PKD Scotland: Outreach and Community Connections Project. 

It is estimated that around 5,000 people in Scotland could be living with Polycystic Kidney 
Disease. It is however often poorly understood and historically underfunded, meaning people 
can leave clinic after diagnosis with little support beyond medical appointments. Many tell us 
they don't know where to turn for emotional support or to meet others living with the same 
condition. We want to change that and with support from a National lottery Awards for All grant 
that is exactly what we are going to do. 

The eighteen-month project will see us reach into hospitals across Scotland to try and ensure 
that no one with PKD in Scotland has to manage their journey on their own. From diagnosis 
onwards we want all to be aware of the charity, the array of services that we offer and foster 
engagement. Two new volunteer led support groups will be established and a group of 
ambassadors recruited to support the ongoing connections we make to ensure that PKD 
remains in the spotlight. 

As our Scotland PKD Engagement Officer you will be central to the success of the project. 
Many people only reach us years after diagnosis, often when symptoms worsen, but we know 
that early connection can make a real difference. PKD is lifelong and people face new 
challenges at every stage. Having support around them helps them stay confident, informed
and connected.

About The Role

 
As PKD’s Scotland Engagement Officer, you will play a central role in delivering this ambitious 
outreach project. 

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will raise awareness of the PKD Charity and its services, 
ensuring that people diagnosed with PKD are informed about available support from the earliest 
possible stage.

You will build and nurture relationships with NHS professionals and services across Scotland, 
helping embed PKD Charity information and resources into patient pathways. Alongside this, you 
will work closely with volunteers to establish two new PKD support groups and develop an 
ambassador programme to maintain long-term local engagement and visibility.

The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was established by Sylvia Lancaster following the murder of her daughter Sophie in a hate crime motivated by prejudice against alternative subcultures. What began as a grassroots response has grown into an internationally recognised charity working across education, community engagement, research and advocacy to challenge prejudice and prevent hate crime.

SHUK is a leading peer support organisation with over 40 years of experience in developing and delivering peer-led services. The Network Engagement Officer supports The Tomorrow’s Engineers Code (or The Code, as we often call it) community. The Code brings together organisations of all types and sizes to share ideas, learn from each other, and collaborate to collectively improve the impact of our STEM outreach. We do this by providing them with practical resources, events, regular communications and a supportive LinkedIn group.

The Network Engagement Officer works with the Senior Code Manager to grow, engage and support Code community members (we call them Signatories). The Network Engagement Officer is responsible for growing the community through recruiting and onboarding new members and ensuring high levels of engagement across the diversity of the community through writing and scheduling regular communications to them via email and LinkedIn and delivering an engaging content series to help them collectively improve their outreach, as well as tracking their participation across activity.

About you 

We are looking for someone with a depth of knowledge and experience of the faith and community homelessness sector (existing connections within Westminster would be a benefit). The successful applicant will feel confident to speak to anyone and will proactively seek out opportunities to build partnerships and promote and develop the existing work of the homelessness sector in Westminster.
 
About the role 

The Faith and Communities Engagement Officer role is designed to enhance and strengthen the infrastructure of homelessness services across Westminster by mobilising and supporting faith and community-based initiatives and groups. The intention is to facilitate effective partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector services and promote sustainable, community-led responses to homelessness and rough sleeping. 

Key responsibilities will include engagement and partnership development, capacity building and support, infrastructure and sustainability and advocacy. The role will play a vital part in bridging gaps between grassroots faith and community initiatives and formal homelessness systems, ensuring coordinated and compassionate support for those experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping.

• 29 days annual leave, 3 of which are fixed between Christmas and New Year. This is in addition to bank holidays and pro-rata if part time. 

• After 3 years of service you are entitled to one additional day of holiday for each additional year of service, up to a maximum of 5 additional days, pro-rata if part time. 

• We offer flexible working. Not all posts can be made flexible, but where possible we operate core hours of 10 – 3pm, with employees able to flex their working day around these. Any flexibility is at the discretion of the line manager and relevant senior manager.

Organisation: Museums Association

Salary: £32,313 per annum (FTE £43,084)

Contract: Permanent, part-time. 22.5 hours per week across 3 days (0.75 FTE). As a progressive employer, the MA offers contracts based on reduced and compressed hours where a full-time contract is 30 hours per week, Monday-Thursday.

Location: Hybrid working – all staff are expected to attend office days twice per month (typically in London)

The Museums Association (MA) is seeking a part time Policy Officer to play a leading role in developing our policy and campaigns work.

In this exciting role you will have the opportunity to deliver admin support for our campaigns and policy, including Museums Change Lives, Museums and Climate Justice, Decolonising Museums, and anti-racism. You will support committees and stakeholders, help to draft policy papers and support the development and delivery of communication and dissemination plans. You will also have the opportunity to draft impactful content for our website, events and online learning, and respond to information requests to ensure that we deliver for our membership and the wider sector.

You will support and work closely with the MA’s policy and ethics lead, including delivering advocacy across the UK nations and have opportunity to develop a role in campaign areas where you have experience and/or interest.

The ideal candidate will have excellent administration and communication skills; knowledge of the policy-making process in the UK; the ability to research and write accessible, clear policy content for a range of audiences; an enthusiasm for museums and the positive difference that they can make working in partnership with their communities; and will be able to manage multiple individual pieces of work.

Purpose of this commission

We are seeking experienced, values-led development support to build events participation and supporter conversion over six months through a realistic events programme, including Kiltwalk participation.

Scope and responsibilities

• Register the Trust for relevant Kiltwalk events, where registration is required, and maintain an events tracker.

• Develop a corporate recruitment approach, including targets, outreach templates and follow-ups.

• Produce a digital-first Fundraising Pack and supporter journey, including welcome, tips, story prompts, assets list, stewardship and a thank you pathway.

• Identify additional suitable events and recommend a realistic programme.

KPIs

• Trust registered with agreed Kiltwalk events in the period.

• For each Kiltwalk event, encourage corporate participation with up to 10 walkers per event, tracked through an outreach and sign-up funnel.

• Events programme proposal completed, including at least three additional opportunities assessed and recommended.

• Fundraising Pack completed and ready to deploy.

This is a volunteer-led charity context. We are looking for someone who can work independently, communicate clearly, and keep delivery moving with light-touch governance.

• Be available on reasonable notice for information or assistance needed to unblock delivery.

• Do not incur expenditure or bind the Trust unless authorised in writing.
