We are looking to recruit a life skills and activities co-ordinator to concentrate on building and expanding relationships with young people living in our supported accommodation as well as families in Westminster who attend sessions in our Family Services department. This is a unique and rewarding role in our Employment & Learning Team that will involve meeting and working with residents in our supported accommodation on a one-to-one basis and in groups, facilitating activities and evaluating and building evidence that these interventions have made a difference. Your work will focus on supporting our residents (aged 16-25) on-site with their Life Skills development. You will also work holistically to support the families who attend sessions in the Family Centre and who attend outings and “away-days”. The role also requires facilitating our study club (aged 13+) and group ESOL sessions (19+).

About the Role

Community Connectors work as part of an integrated, blended mental health offer to support people with emotional, social and practical needs to access a range of local, non-medical and non-clinical services, to improve confidence, social inclusion and independence.

This role will involve working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with statutory, third sector and NHS colleagues to support clients who are suffering from moderate to severe mental health difficulties. You will need to have experience working with those suffering with mental health illness as well as being able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of the services, support networks and local resources that may assist in improved outcomes for those dealing with complex and enduring mental health issues. The ability to be adaptable, work independently and the resilience to work in some challenging environments are key attributes for this role.

Service Delivery

• Assess suitability for community connection support as part of a blended team approach and support individuals to access the service by utilising in depth knowledge of local voluntary and community services and networks in your respective area
• To work with individuals to coproduce a plan to address their mental health and wellbeing goals. Am enable people to achieve these goals through facilitating access and connecting with appropriate resources
• Enable people to access community resources which may include accompanying them.
• Offer support, guidance and help where possible to people to gain confidence, overcome initial fears and seek solutions to any barriers inhibiting attendance.
• Take a holistic approach, based on the individuals’ priorities and wider determinants of health that impact on their health and wellbeing, such as debt, poor housing, being unemployed, loneliness and caring responsibilities.
• To work as part of an integrated team to ensure the best outcomes for each person accessing the service.
• Identify and build good working relationships with the community groups, relevant services and activities for partnership work and signposting as well as keep updated information about them.
• Competently work as part of a blended team, under direction from Mind BLMK and ELFT, working with independence and in an agile way to support people with complex mental health challenges.

 Our charity was established in 1992, to provide care and support to people in Sussex, living with and affected by HIV. Over the past three decades there have been huge advances in treatment and care for those affected by the virus. People taking effective anti-retroviral medication (ART’s) can live long lives, with HIV becoming undetectable and untransmittable.

Whilst people who are living with HIV can live longer, many develop other physical co-morbidities as they age and many experience social and self-stigma. Our service users are often from marginalised groups, who often experience inter-sectional discrimination and health inequalities. Many of our service users experience socio-economic disadvantage and have multiple and complex needs.

The Sussex Beacon offers a range of services to people who have been living with HIV for decades through to those who are newly diagnosed.  Our services include:

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on all aspects of mass participation fundraising events, from recruitment and engagement of participants to event-day logistics and post-event stewardship.
• Develop and implement creative campaigns to maximise participant sign-ups, fundraising income, and supporter retention.
• Build strong relationships with participants, corporate partners, and event organisers to enhance The Sussex Beacon’s presence and reputation.

The Hepatitis C Trust runs national projects where peers draw on their lived experience of drug use, criminal justice systems and hepatitis C to support others . We are now recruiting for a new and exciting role to join our Cardiff & Vale of Glamorgan team. 

As part of an experienced team, this role will promote hepatitis C awareness, blood borne virus testing and referral to treatment, for people living with hepatitis C. The role will support volunteer peers and increase the project’s reach to underserved communities. You’ll be providing vital harm reduction interventions including needle, syringe and naloxone provision across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

The Bilingual Resettlement Worker will provide culturally and linguistically tailored casework support to refugee households—including both adults and children—resettling in Hampshire under the UK Government Resettlement Programme. The postholder will help families access essential services, understand their rights and entitlements, and build the confidence and knowledge needed to live independently in the UK. Key Working Relationships

Position will reports to the Senior Resettlement Officer. This position will work closely with all staff involved in the delivery of the Hampshire Resettlement and Integration Support Service. This will include Senior Resettlement Officers, Bilingual Resettlement Officers, Resettlement Officers, ESOL Coordinator, Education Officer, Community and Engagement Officer and Project Officer. This position will work closely with staff at our partner organisation, Citizens Advice Rushmoor.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support to households (70%)

· Provide practical casework support to refugee households, ensuring timely access to housing, income, healthcare, education, and other statutory services.

· Research, identify and outreach to services and resources that enable clients to meet their short and long-term goals and facilitate external referrals.

· Deliver group session support, including orientation sessions on life in the UK, both virtually and in person.

· Support the completion and regular review of individual Support Plans, using the Outcomes Star tool.

· Advocate, verbally and in written form, on behalf of clients with service providers and statutory agencies.

Key Administrative tasks (20%)

· Ensure timely and accurate compliance to all reporting requirements, including database management, case noting, and file maintenance. This will require completion of accurate and timely records and case notes in line with data protection and reporting requirements.

· Assist with project logistics, such as arranging essential items for clients, setting up the training rooms or events and preparing participant materials.

· Provide flexible administrative support to meet the project needs.

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:

About the role

Sheffield Community Bike Project is a not-for-profit community cycle repair workshop that aims to improve access to cycling through three main activities:

• Free (donations appreciated) access to tools and workshop space for DIY cycle repairs, with support from our volunteer team. This includes some sessions for specific groups.

• Offering affordable new and used parts, and refurbished second-hand bikes for sale.

• Focussed cycle maintenance training sessions to upskill our community.

SCBP is seeking to appoint a Bike Project Manager. Working closely with the CEO, trustees and volunteers, you will play a key role in ensuring our community workshop thrives as a welcoming, organised and sustainable space.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running of the project, support and manage our volunteer team, and develop new systems and initiatives to support the organisation’s growth. Subject to funding, we will hopefully be hiring for a “Bike Project Administrator” role in the near future. This role may be managed by the Bike Project Manager.

The Senior Bilingual Resettlement Officer will lead the delivery of high-quality, culturally and linguistically tailored support to refugee households resettling in Hampshire under the UK Government Resettlement Programme—including the Afghan Resettlement Programme (ARP), United Kingdom Resettlement Scheme (UKRS), Community Sponsorship, and other eligible schemes. Key Working Relationships

This position will report to the Programme Manager and work closely with all staff involved in the delivery of the Hampshire Resettlement and Integration Support Service. This will include Senior Resettlement Officers, Bilingual Resettlement Officers, Resettlement Officers, ESOL Coordinator, Education Officer, Community and Engagement Officer and Project Officer. This position will also collaborate regularly with staff at Citizens Advice Rushmoor and other delivery partners, including attending partnership and strategic coordination meetings.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support to Staff (50%)

· Supervise and mentor Resettlement Officers, including communicating clear expectations, setting performance objectives, providing regular and timely performance feedback, and leading performance reviews.

· Provide training and support for Resettlement Officers on the delivery of different project activities and working with supported individuals.

· Provide Resettlement Officers with support for households with the most complex support needs. This will include involvement with practical casework support to refugee households, ensuring timely access to housing, income, healthcare, education, and other statutory services.

· Provide Resettlement Officers with support to respond to safeguarding concerns, following IRC and statutory processes.

· Proactively review Resettlement Officers’ caseloads to ensure equitable distribution and identify emerging support needs, taking appropriate action to rebalance workloads, provide targeted guidance, and uphold service standards, safeguarding protocols, and project key performance indicators.

Direct support to households (20%)

· Welcome newly arrived supported individuals by attending their home alongside Resettlement Officers to assist with initial arrival support, complete risk assessments, and deliver home safety orientation.

· Research, identify and outreach to services and resources that enable clients to meet their short and long-term goals and facilitate external referrals.

Key Administrative tasks (20%)

· Represent the IRC in meetings with Hampshire County Council to discuss project progress, contribute to strategic dialogue, and provide formal updates through scheduled reporting and performance review meetings.

· Collaborate with delivery partners to ensure coordinated support for households, contributing to joint planning, case discussions, and service alignment that promotes timely access to housing, healthcare, education, and other essential services. About the Role

The Refugee and Migrant Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our Resettlement Department. As part of our mission to assist refugees and migrants in overcoming barriers to integration, this role will play a key part in helping newly arrived refugees settle into their new communities with confidence and independence.

RMC is a well-established charity with over 25 years of experience working with vulnerable refugees and migrants. We provide a range of services, including immigration advice, housing support, welfare assistance, and employment guidance. Our work ensures that refugees and migrants receive the necessary support to become equal citizens in the UK.

Purpose of the Role

The Family Support Worker will support newly arrived refugees and their families, enabling them to navigate the complex challenges of settling into the UK. Working closely with our multi-skilled resettlement team, you will deliver holistic support to refugees across a range of services, including welfare benefits, housing, health, education, and employment. You will also play a key role in empowering families to build their confidence, independence, and long-term integration into the community.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Client Support & Case Management:

• Manage a caseload of newly arrived refugee families, providing tailored support to meet their specific needs.
• Conduct home visits and orientation sessions to welcome clients to their new community and complete holistic needs assessments.
• Develop Personal Integration Plans for each household on a quarterly basis, helping them set goals for long-term independence.
• Coordinate support with external agencies and specialists to address clients’ needs, ensuring seamless service delivery.
• Support families with housing, welfare benefits, education, healthcare, and employment.
• Assist with registration for healthcare services (GPs, dentists, opticians) and support with medical assessments.
• Facilitate access to education for children and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes for adults.
• Provide guidance on immigration matters and ensure the correct paperwork is in place, including registering for Biometric Residence Cards and supporting welfare benefit applications.
• Ensure clients are financially supported by applying for relevant welfare benefits and assisting with mandatory reconsiderations as required.

Integration & Independence:

• Help clients develop the skills and knowledge to achieve independence, focusing on self-sufficiency and integration into the local community.
• Support families in securing suitable accommodation, liaising with landlords, housing providers, and relevant stakeholders.
• Provide ongoing orientation on UK systems, including financial rights and responsibilities, social services, and community resources.
• Encourage social integration by organising outings and community events to foster connections with local services and other refugees.

Partnership Working & Community Engagement:

• Work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that refugees have access to the services and support they need.
• Act as the lead contact for other agencies involved in supporting your clients, ensuring a collaborative approach to case management.
• Promote the long-term integration of refugees by identifying and facilitating opportunities for engagement with mainstream services.
