StreetLink London is a bespoke assessment and response telephone service for people who are rough sleeping in London, supported by volunteers. Building on St Mungo’s extensive experience of supporting people sleeping rough through a range of face-to-face services, this innovative service aims to reduce the incidences of subsequent rough sleeping amongst people who have not slept rough before and increase the speed with which those who have a history of rough sleeping can access support and accommodation.
As an Assessment and Response Worker you will:

Answer phone calls from people experiencing homelessness in London and deliver a high quality of customer service

Triage online referrals from the website and the app, to connect people who are rough sleeping with local outreach teams as quickly as possible.

Carry out comprehensive telephone assessments, identifying immediate options for accommodation and support while confidently responding to emergency situations and safeguarding concerns.

Advocate on behalf of people with relevant statutory and non-statutory services to ensure clients can access the support and accommodation they are entitled to as quickly as possible.

Train, motivate and support volunteers so they can provide a high quality, responsive service to everyone contacting StreetLink London.

Summary of Role

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (Rape Crisis South London) is looking for a committed, professional and skilled Helpline Support worker to provide high quality emotional support, information and signposting in our Support Line team.
The 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line is a partnership between Rape Crisis England and Wales, the Rape and Sexual Abuse support Centre (RASASC - Rape Crisis South London) and two other Rape Crisis Centres (ARCH Teesside and Lincolnshire Rape Crisis). The successful candidate will be experienced in developing and delivering creative Gender Based Violence (GBV) prevention programs and confident to successfully engage young women in a wide range of settings including schools, colleges, youth programs & pupil referral units to raise awareness, challenge and positively influence the attitudes and behaviours that normalise GBV in this peer group. You will receive training on delivering GBV Resilience Programs that build psychological and emotional resilience in young people (YP) to strengthen protective factors to promote positive mental and emotional well-being in YP. You will co-produce and deliver training and awareness raising work for professionals, including first responders and managers in GBV related services / mental health provisions, educational centres and non-abusing family members and carers to facilitate appropriate response towards YP at risk.

You will be skilled at working alongside young women with an acute awareness of how to successfully co-create and co-deliver training packages to professionals and the wider community, thus centralising YP as the leaders and change agents in the project.

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Complex Needs Worker: Women Experiencing Homelessness
Our client, a leading homelessness charity based in London, are looking for a Complex Needs Worker to work in a complex needs service for women experiencing homelessness in south London. Due to a rise in female rough sleepers, and the need to safeguard the most vulnerable in society, a new female only rough sleeper service has been commissioned to provide support and ongoing casework to vulnerable women engaged at the service with the aim of rehousing clients into more independent accommodation. This is an exciting opportunity for a Gateway Assessor or Advice Worker with a minimum of three months experience to be fast tracked through the full Citizens Advice Generalist Adviser training programme. Once having completed an initial four weeks training period you will be allocated to work on one of a range of different projects and services providing direct advice to the public and undertaking casework on social welfare law issues.
- You must be a trained Gateway Assessor with a minimum of three months experience.
- An understanding of the advice needs and issues of the local community in a diverse inner-city area.
- To understand, empathise with and be committed to the Service’s aims, principles and equal opportunities policies.

Who are we?
Voice4Change England (V4CE) is a membership organisation with a vision to build a stronger and more inclusive civil society to meet the needs of BME and other disadvantaged communities by giving out grants, providing infrastructure support for the voluntary and community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector, campaigning on topical issues and policy and collaborating in groundbreaking research.

The role
Voice4Change England is recruiting for an Infrastructure and Development Officer who will effectively manage outreach and consultation with BME organisations and communities across England. We are looking for a proactive, motivated and outgoing person to join our Infrastructure and Development Team.
You will be passionate about social justice and addressing inequalities, can assess community needs and deliver infrastructure support addressing under-funding, and help to build sustainability and resilience in BME groups as well as help groups develop opportunities for greater impact.
The role will be remote working with monthly meetings and project related travel across England.
Main responsibilities
• Organise and deliver outreach to reach and engage BME organisations and be informed by them on needs and issues.
• Organise roadshows and other events to engage and consult with BME organisations on particular issues and themes that emerge from outreach and consultation.
• Contribute to the development of learning, advice, support and resources for BME organisations.
• Liaise with external agencies and service providers to help broker increased inclusion of BME organisations.
• Collaborate, inform and involve, as relevant, BME organisations to aid the development of this work.
• Produce reports for V4CE and funders on the impact and value of the outreach and development work
• Contribute to dissemination of the contribution of the London BME sector to increase external value and respect of its work and impact
Person specification
Education and Experience
· Knowledge of the issues and barriers faced by BME organisations and community groups
· Knowledge of individual BME organisational development needs and ability to add to this through consultation
· Knowledge of and commitment to the principles of equality and diversity
· Ability to analyse, synthesise and communicate complex issues in a clear manner
· Ability to plan and deliver training sessions
· Ability to aid capacity building and resilience by developing tools and templates suitable for groups at different stages of development
· Experience in roles involving stakeholder engagement and partnership building
· Experience of relevant infrastructure or development work (desirable)
· Experience of project and budget management (desirable)
· Knowledge of charity law and guidance (desirable)
