Role Purpose
The Business Development Manager will lead income generation for Sounddelivery Media, securing funding through grants, partnerships, and earned income from services offered to the SDM network and external clients. The role is critical to SDM’s sustainability and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver SDM’s business development and income generation strategy.
Develop earned-income opportunities, including consultancy, training, production, and services for the SDM network and beyond.
Build and manage relationships with funders, commissioners, partners, and clients.
Lead on writing high-quality funding applications, proposals, and pitches.
Work with senior staff to develop budgets, pricing, and cost recovery models.
Track income pipelines and report on progress and performance.

Prospectus is delighted to be working with an international network of NGOs, catalysing a new era of humanitarian action to lead the search for a Funding Manager (Hubs). In this role, you will collaborate with Hub representatives internationally to set up successful resource mobilisation functions in selected Hub countries and mobilise new funds directly for them. Hubs are local humanitarian networks working to change the humanitarian system in their own context. They each have unique added values and expertise and are formed by a mix of local, national and international NGO's.
This organisation is a global membership of 145+ organisations, working across six continents, to tackle the biggest systemic problems in the global humanitarian system. This organisation's vision is for a locally led humanitarian system that is accountable to people affected by and at risk of crises. They aim to achieve this vision by making system-level shifts in how humanitarian assistance is approached and delivered.
This role is offered on an initial 24-month, full time contract, paying a salary of £47,500 - £49,000 (per annum with flexible working arrangements at their Old Street, London office. There will be expected travel to visit the Hubs, around 3-4 weeks per year.
As the Funding Manager (Hubs), you will play a critical role in this organisation's localisation agenda and strategy. This will require you to bring expertise in setting up new income streams, coordinating stakeholders internationally and personally securing new income from donors. As most of the Hubs are in early stages of development and volunteer-led, you will need to provide substantial support including capacity-building, donor-mapping, direct engagement on behalf of the Hubs with donors, strategy development and various other activities.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is proactive, entrepreneurial and confident taking the lead in decision-making. The new Funding Manager (Hubs) will have a good understanding of the fundraising landscape relevant to the humanitarian sector, plus a clear interest in the localisation agenda, in addition to having experience in setting fundraising strategies that can catalyse new income as well as a strong personal track record in grant and partnership fundraising. Fundraising at the Sutton Trust
We are seeking a dynamic and driven fundraiser to be our Trusts and Foundations Manager. The Sutton Trust is at an exciting point in our organisational journey, with a new Chairperson and ambitions to significantly grow our impact and fundraising as part of our 2030 strategy.
Over the past five years the impact of the Sutton Trust has increased, especially in our programme numbers, securing a relatively stable income of c.£6m over a number of years. In recent years this has grown to c.£7m, and our organisational strategy to 2030 will continue this fundraising trajectory to increase income to £12m. Trusts and foundations income currently accounts for c.37% of our fundraising, and we know there is considerable enthusiasm and opportunity in the grant-making world for building strategic partnerships with us.
Our fundraising approach will continue to focus on driving towards major gifts and strategic multi-year partnerships, leveraging a range of drivers to secure Trust, Foundation and Statutory support.
The Role and Team
As Trusts and Foundations Manager (maternity cover), you will be an experienced, proactive relationship manager and fundraiser. You will be confident in delivering high quality reporting and stewardship to a wide variety of Trusts, Foundations, Statutory and organisational donors, as well as proactively approaching funding prospects and preparing applications to secure funds.
We have strong relationships with a range of trusts and foundations, and over the fixed term contract period we are looking for a confident fundraiser to manage and support a portfolio of funders as cover for a maternity leave within the Development team.
The role will contribute to growing the portfolio of Trusts, Foundations, and organisational donors (predominantly at the five-figure level), while also providing strategic support on grant management of our major six-and-seven-figure Trust and Foundation partners. This will include compiling key reports and supporting the gathering and analysing programmatic data. You will work closely with colleagues across both the Development Department, including the Development Director, and the wider organisation.
Main duties
New Business
Undertake prospect research into trusts and foundations, statutory opportunities (contracts or grants), and organisational funders in collaboration with Trusts and Foundations colleagues, and other senior staff and senior volunteers. This includes identification, due diligence, qualification, and creating briefings and outreach plans.
Work with Trusts and Foundations colleagues to cultivate a prospect pool of potential donors, looking at lapsed supporters, the prospect pipeline, stakeholder network mapping through the Board and Trustees, as well as funders with an active interest in education / social mobility.
Submit compelling funding proposals and reports to mid-level trusts, foundations, statutory and organisational donors to secure income (predominately at the five-figure level) for the Trust. Work alongside other Development team and wider organisation members to ensure high-quality submissions.
Alongside team members, manage the shared Development inbox to ensure all enquiries are dealt with in a prompt, consistent, and friendly manner.
Follow all relevant policies and processes to ensure due diligence is completed for prospective donors and that income projections and plans for the portfolio are kept up to date.
Account Management and Development
Manage and grow a small portfolio of trusts, foundations, statutory supporters, and organisational donors, delivering impactful stewardship (e.g. impact reporting) while meeting all donor reporting requirements to maximise financial income and partnership longevity.
Support senior team members on strategic management of our major trust and foundation partners, including leading on compiling key impact reports, coordinating meetings, attending programme visits, event invites, writing targeted donor communications and reporting.
Work with the Head of Fundraising Operations to compile and analyse key programmatic data for use by the Development team in their grant reporting.
Be accountable for achieving agreed trusts and foundations income targets, looking for opportunities to grow funding and diversify income for this stream.
Ensure all record keeping and administration relating to trusts and foundations income is maintained, up-to-date, and processed in accordance with GDPR and Sutton Trust policies and procedures.
Fundraising Finance and Reporting
Act as an ambassador for the Trust with external audiences, delivering presentations and providing expertise as required.
Work with colleagues to deliver impactful events to cultivate prospects and steward partners, with a focus on experience for trust and foundation supporters and prospects.
Work with colleagues across Development and Finance to ensure accurate forecasting, income tracking and reporting for trusts and foundations income, through the Trust’s CRM (Salesforce), account management plans, and all relevant income pipeline documents.
Ensure you appropriately follow policies and procedures on due diligence, Salesforce and data management, account management, stewardship, and reporting.
Stay up to date with grant fundraising best practice, learning from senior members of the team, and keep abreast of developments and opportunities within the wider fundraising space.

Person Specification
We welcome applications from individuals who have:
Experience in successfully securing, managing, and developing Trust, Foundation, Statutory or organisational donor partnerships at four and five figure-level, from initial prospect research to securing income and ongoing grant management.
Experience building and managing relationships, particularly in the philanthropic sector with organisational donors.
Strong presentation skills and the ability to write compelling proposals and impact reports, or pitch to audiences with the intent of persuading them to your point of view or secure a specific outcome.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to summarise information from readily available sources clearly and concisely.
Experience managing multiple priorities and tasks to successfully achieve project or other goals.
Excellent prospect research skills and strong analytical skills.
First-class interpersonal skills - a natural ambassador able to represent the Sutton Trust with confidence in a range of settings.
Knowledge of fundraising in the education and/or not-for-profit sector.
Experience using CRM software (ideally Salesforce) to accurately record funding relationships (desirable).

You will work as a key member of a committed and creative Therapies team, which offers innovative, holistic and person-aligned care and support to people with palliative and end-of-life care needs, and to their families and caregivers.
The post holder will provide coordination for, and service development of, the Empowered Living Service. This community-based service provides outstanding person-centred rehabilitative enablement for people living with a palliative diagnosis. Following a joint professional assessment, a detailed programme of patient-led goals is enabled and supported by a trained ELT volunteer in the patient’s own home. Volunteer recruitment, training, patient matching and regular support group/1-1 supervision is led by the ELT coordinator.

This is a key fundraising role within a small and collaborative charity team.
As Fundraising Lead, you will play an important part in developing and delivering a diversified fundraising pipeline, with a particular focus on trusts and foundations, alongside philanthropy and selected partnership opportunities.
You will report to and work closely with the Director of Growth & Strategy, who leads overall fundraising strategy and senior relationships, while you focus on driving day-to-day fundraising activity, pipeline development and funder engagement.

We’re looking for a Community Coordinator to take ownership of a group of WeSwim clubs, playing a central role in building and supporting a thriving, connected community around them.
This is a role for someone who is excellent at relationship building and enjoys being at the heart of things. You’ll work closely with disabled swimmers, volunteers and our pool partners to create a welcoming, inclusive and seamless experience from first contact through to regular participation.

Key Responsibilities:
Club operations & coordination: Coordinate weekly swim sessions across your allocated clubs, making sure sessions run smoothly. Regularly visit clubs to get to know volunteers and swimmers, understand how sessions are running, and identify any issues or opportunities.
Swimmer journey & membership: Manage the swimmer journey from application through to first session and ongoing participation. Monitor attendance and engagement and meet recruitment and attendance targets ensuring a balanced flow of swimmers.
Swimmer recruitment & outreach: Build relationships with local organisations to raise awareness of WeSwim and support referrals. Deliver outreach activity to maintain a steady flow of new swimmers into clubs and waiting lists. Support the setup and launch of new WeSwim clubs by building local awareness and supporting swimmer recruitment, working closely with the wider team.
Volunteer engagement & club presence: Build strong relationships with volunteers, ensuring they feel welcomed, valued and supported. Support volunteer with regular communications and work closely with the wider team to improve volunteer experience.
Systems & administration: Maintain accurate club records including membership data and attendance logs. Monitor attendance and impact data to support reporting. Use and improve systems and processes to support efficient coordination and growth.
Community participation & engagement: Support volunteers, swimmers and supporters to organise and lead their own activities and initiatives (e.g. events, challenges, social activities). Create simple accessible resources that support people to take part and contribute. Be the main point of contact for people who want to get more involved in WeSwim.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified immigration advisor to lead on key elements of our Change of Conditions casework service as maternity cover for the coming year including our ‘self-submissions’ support programme and second-tier CoC advice.
The Unity Project (TUP) supports people who are facing poverty and homelessness because their immigration status allows them ‘no recourse to public funds’ (NRPF). We believe NRPF should not exist and we are working to end it. Until then, we seek to minimise its impact by supporting people to make the ‘change of conditions’ (CoC) application to access public funds. As part of this work, we continually develop new casework approaches to make CoCs more accessible to more people. By taking a strategic approach to our casework, we have opened up new routes for people to move through the process, and achieved greater recognition of groups with particular needs. We have also supported numerous strategic legal challenges which have prompted significant changes to the immigration rules and guidance related to CoCs.
In this cover position, you will play a key role in our strategic casework. You will be responsible for TUP’s ‘self-submissions’ casework provision for applicants who submit their own CoC applications independently. You will support with other strategically significant casework as required, including by liaising with public law firms, writing witness statements for JR challenges and communicating directly with Home Office policy teams. You will also share our CoC expertise with the sector through second-tier advice and training workshops.
The role will suit someone who has prior experience of supporting clients with NRPF, an interest in broader immigration policy and the desire to apply those skills to a specialist context. The role requires someone who can adapt quickly and apply a strategic mindset to the challenge of using legal routes to achieving systemic change.
