The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit three Analysts for the EU Portfolio to join their team in London or Brussels. Theese are exciting opportunities to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution in these newly created roles.
As an Analyst in the EU Portfolio you will play a critical role in Clean Air Fund supporting delivery of projects at both pan-European and national level across nine Member States in the European Union. This includes project and grant management, as well as the design and management of partnerships with a wide variety of grantee partners including civil society organisations, research institutions (think-tanks and universities) and industry. The geographical scope of these grants will be at the national level and / or the pan-European level. You will work on projects across the two-year programme on AAQD transposition and implementation as part of the Europe team under the guidance of Project Director in a matrix system. Tasks will combine managing and supporting a set of grants, as well as managing and supporting a wide range of projects and workstreams across the breath of the organization.
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience;
- Experience in project management for an international non-governmental organisation or a philanthropic organisation in Europe.
- Experience in working on environment, health and/or air quality issues.
- Experience in networking and building strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Articulate and proficient in both written and spoken English. Proficiency in additional European languages is considered a significant asset, including French, Spanish, Italian, Romanian, German or Greek.
- Evidence of capacity to work in range of cultural and socio-economic contexts, adapting style and approach appropriately and in a culturally sensitive manner. Excellent communication skills including grant and report writing, minute taking, delivering presentations and keeping internal stakeholders updated.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office programmes, including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Ability to manage a busy workload with fluctuating deadlines. • Proven teamworking skills, including flexibility and enthusiasm.

Maintaining purchase ledger:
- Review staff and consultant expense claims
- Reconcile monthly credit card and Soldo statements

We’re making it easier for people who use our services to find and connect to the support they need. And we're looking at ways to make our support more accessible and personalised to meet people’s individual needs, no matter where they are on their MS journey.
We’re creating services that are flexible so that, when someone's circumstance changes, we’ll change too. As demand for our services grows, we’ll always be ready to support everyone who needs our help.
Our new structure and our new ways of working will bring all of these services together under one delivery model launching next year. We're creating a new virtual support hub to bring together everything our community needs to manage their MS or support and care for someone living with MS.
Our Head of Volunteering is a key leadership role in our Services and Support directorate, as part of our Services Development function.
We rely heavily on our volunteers to support our mission and improve the lives of people affected by MS. Our volunteers who generously donate their time are critical to our success.
Our volunteers play an important role in:
- fundraising events
- delivering resources to people affected by MS
- advocating for MS research and policy
- providing care and support to the MS community
Our Head of Volunteering will be:
- leading on the development and implementation of the organisation's volunteering strategy
- growing organisational capacity and capability in volunteering, maximising the unique contribution volunteering can make to support the MS Society's strategic aims.
- leading a team who will support our volunteer journey, volunteer experience and volunteering systems, developing a high-performing and motivated culture within teams.
- ensuring volunteer-related policies, products and procedures are aligned with sector best practice and opportunities are increased to support the engagement and retention of volunteers, leading to an increase in flexible volunteering roles and volunteers.
- seeking new opportunities to grow and develop volunteer capacity, engagement and impact.
We’re looking for:
- extensive experience of development and successful implementation of a volunteering strategy or plan
- a proven track record of operating at a senior level within a volunteering function or organisation, engaging significant numbers of volunteers.
- significant experience in developing and implementing volunteer journeys, policies and processes focussed on improving the volunteer experience.
- substantial experience of successfully leading and managing a large and geographically dispersed teams of staff and volunteers, embedding change and fostering a high performing culture.

We are entering an exciting phase of growth and are looking to expand our services supporting families and individuals and extend our reach across Birmingham, the Black Country, and surrounding areas. This new Operations Manager role is central to these plans.
As Operations Manager, working closely with the CEO, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of organisation across our 2 main premises and in other community venues. You will manage the admin and appointments functions and ensure our services run smoothly, consistently, and with a focus on quality, sustainability, and user experience.
Initially, the role will be hands-on and operational, with responsibility for recruiting and training administrative staff, fully re-opening our 2 main premises, and transitioning to a hybrid model of online and face-to-face counselling. You will also support the implementation of updated policies, procedures, and new online appointment and case management systems.
As the organisation grows, there is significant opportunity for development, allowing you to contribute to how our services are delivered, strengthen our team, and help us meet the increasing need for our services.
Based at our Birmingham office, this role will require some flexibility in working hours to meet service needs, including working at other centres from time to time.
What you’ll do
· Oversee day-to-day operations across Birmingham, Wolverhampton, and community venues.
· Lead and manage the administration team, including recruitment, training, and volunteer coordination.
· Manage appointments, service utilisation, waiting times, and payments.
· Streamline processes and systems to improve efficiency, consistency, and client experience.
· Support implementation of new technology, online appointments, and case management systems.
· Ensure premises are safe, functional, and fit-for-purpose.
· Monitor service performance, budgets, and KPIs; prepare reports for management and funders.

What we’re looking for
· Proven experience in operational management, ideally in third sector, health, or community services.
· Strong administrative experience and ability to oversee budgets, KPIs, and performance.
· Experience designing and embedding processes, policies, and systems.
· Confident in implementing technology and using data to drive decisions.
· Experience managing premises and creating safe, functional environments.
· Understanding of client journeys and accessibility, with experience improving engagement and service utilisation.
· Knowledge of HR and health & safety, with experience managing staff wellbeing and compliance.
· Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to inclusion and equity.
