ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a receptionist to work within the Harris Federation Head Office, undertaking Reception and other administrative duties within the CEO's team.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and receiving all visitors to Head Office in a professional manner, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and Health & Safety protocols
- Operating the telephone switchboard, directing calls to appropriate departments or staff members, taking messages, and responding promptly to enquiries from parents/carers and the public
- Maintaining the reception area and meeting rooms to a high standard, ensuring they are tidy, presentable and reset after use, and reporting any maintenance issues to the Office Manager
- Supporting the Office Manager with office maintenance tasks, including coordinating fire drills, liaising with engineers and managing heating/air con servicing
- Organising and preparing refreshments for meetings and events
- Updating employee records to reflect staff changes for switchboard/Inventry accuracy
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail and parcels, including maintaining the franking machine account and ordering supplies
- Coordinating courier services and managing related accounts
- Maintaining the academy contact sheet, ensuring Principal and PA details are current
- Building positive relationships with staff, contractors and external agencies to support the Federation’s objectives

Social Work Adviser
Location: Westminster
Salary: £40,000 per annum

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Social Work Adviser (Child Welfare and Safeguarding) based at the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) in Westminster, seconded from Heathrow Travel Care (HTC), the airport social work team. You will join us on a full-time, 18 month contract (potential extension upon mutual agreement) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, plus benefits.
The role of our Social Work Adviser (Child Welfare and Safeguarding) is to enable the FCDO to offer advice and assistance to vulnerable British nationals known to the UK Consular Network.
Responsibilities as our Social Work Adviser (Child Welfare and Safeguarding):
FCDO
- Providing advice, support and guidance to consular assistance staff in London and staff based overseas on child safeguarding social work issues for British nationals
- Working jointly with the consular child policy unit (CPU) to review child-related cases and policy
- Working collaboratively with the social work advisor team to review cases and relevant policy
- Investigating, signposting, planning with consular staff who are working with British nationals to provide specialist children and families advice to the consular staff
- Referring 'meet and assist’ cases to relevant service providers at UK ports
- Undertaking the risk assessment of cases
- Ensuring policy, guidance and training are inputted to the consular staff on child welfare issues
- Building and maintaining links with relevant assistance NGOs & travel partners via outreach work
- Building and maintaining links with Consular Regional Directors

- Experience of making and recording risk assessments, including Safe Lives RIC and other evidence-based assessment tools
- Experience of problem-solving under time pressure
- Experience of prioritising casework according to risk and need
- Working knowledge of child safeguarding procedures within Local Authorities
- An understanding of child safeguarding policy
- The ability to work effectively in partnership with other agencies
- The ability to make clear recommendations on how to address risk and need based on professional judgement and experience.

About the role
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Leadership Giving Officer to cultivate and solicit gifts from alumni who have the capacity to make donations to the university of between £1,000 and £50,000.
You will be working in an exciting and varied role that blends one to one, and mass fundraising, as part of the Leadership Giving team within the Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement department. We are a warm, collaborative, and enthusiastic team with a passion for innovative fundraising for meaningful impact.
The postholder will support fundraising for exciting and impactful initiatives across the university. The primary responsibility of the role is to manage two of the flagship Leadership Giving Programmes: the Kingsmaker Guild and Key to King’s. Additionally, they will also manage a portfolio of prospective and existing donors who they will connect with personally, engaging them with the university with the aim of soliciting new or uplifted donations.
Sitting within the KCL Philanthropy Team and working collaboratively with the other fundraisers in the university, the Leadership Giving Officer will manage the delivery of mass-fundraising appeals and stewardship, while also spending time in direct interaction with donors, both in and out of the office.

Programme Coordinator
- Location: Remote. Candidates must be willing to travel regularly for programme activities and team meetings.

Yada is a small charity working to prevent and remove the stigma around the sexual exploitation of women and girls. Based in West Sussex our services include specialist 1-1 tailored support to self-identifying women involved in the sex industry, as well as partnership working to deliver preventative workshops to women who may be at risk of sexual exploitation.
Our training offer to professionals who support women who are being sexually exploited has also grown over the last few years. In 2025 over 200 professionals received our training. We are at an exciting time in the development of the charity as we look to expand our services, including reviewing our established training offer and exploring new options.

The Training and Resourcing Lead will have a key role to play in shaping and strengthening Yada, building on our previous success, and ensuring the charity’s sustainability as a respected specialist in the area of sexual exploitation locally and nationally. The role will have responsibility for leading on the review, design, development and delivery of our training offer to external partners and professionals, including networking and proactive local partnership building, to ensure all professionals who support women who are vulnerable to sexual exploitation receive training support. The role will also have responsibility to research, design and deliver a package of short internal training sessions for the development and upskilling of our outreach staff to ensure they remain trauma informed and current as specialists in supporting women in the sex industry. There is an expectation that the post holder will become Yada’s specialist in the sexual exploitation of women who are at risk, and be able to share this knowledge.
About you
We are seeking a self-motivated and organised female who has experience at collabarative working and relationship building, with previous experience in presenting or training. She should have the ability to take on a specialist area and share this with others in a professional manner in person or online, promoting positive learning. Ideally this person would have previous experience or knowledge of working with vulnerable people, demonstrate an understanding to responses to trauma and PTSD, or show a commitment and passion for marginalised communities and be willing to learn. Knowledge of violence against women and girls would be an advantage.

Job Description
Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (ISVAs) provide emotional and practical support and information to victims and survivors of sexual violence who have reported to the police, or are considering reporting to the police.
The role of an ISVA is to support victims and survivors by:
·Ensuring their voice is heard.
·Helping them make the choices that feel right for them.
·Accompanying them to important appointments and to court.
·Supporting them with their next steps after the legal process is over, regardless of the outcome of the case.
If victims and survivors are considering reporting to the police, ISVAs can also help them by:
·Providing impartial information to enable them to make an informed decision.
·Offering an overview of police processes and what to expect if they do decide to report.
·Supporting them in their next steps.
CARA provides an ISVA service to adults, young people and children who have been victims of sexual violence from across mid and North Essex, and Uttlesford.
Most ISVA clients are referred to CARA through the Police or the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC). Clients can also refer themselves.
Duties and Responsibilities
For all clients
· To liaise with CARA’s Information and Referrals Coordinator and First Contact Navigators in supporting new referrals to the ISVA service.
· To undertake risk assessment and support needs analysis with clients.
· To develop individual service plans to address risks/support needs of clients.
· To help clients access services to which they are entitled, e.g. through setting up fast-track referral systems to sexual health follow-up services, making referrals to mental health services, assisting with return to work/absence from work arrangements.
· To provide face-to-face and telephone support (non-therapeutic) to clients and their supporters where appropriate.
· To help clients to develop their own support network.
· To explain criminal, legal and if relevant, civil remedies to clients.
· To provide information in relation to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme.
· Where relevant and with client’s consent, to keep other agencies informed about important changes in client’s situation.
· To consider safeguarding issues and follow CARA’s safeguarding policy and procedures.
If a client reports to the Police
· To support the client throughout their time in the criminal justice system, explaining the procedures and their role and rights within it.
· Subject to local arrangements and their wishes, to support the client at every step; from the provision of their witness statement through to a trial.
· To liaise with the police and CPS on behalf of the client. To keep them informed about the progress of their case on behalf of the police in line with the requirements of the Victims Code of Practice.
· To participate in case conferences with the police and CPS.
· To understand and support the need for some clients to access special measures.
General
· To manage a caseload of around 50 clients (pro rata), including adults, young people and children.
· To travel to client meetings in a variety of settings, including outreach premises and clients’ homes.
· To maintain and monitor records, using a purpose-built online database.
· To follow procedures and protocols so that the safety of the client is kept central to any process.
· To note and feedback to other agencies any difficulties clients are having accessing their service.
· To contribute to the development of service policies, protocols, guidelines and strategies within areas of practice as necessary.
· To develop and maintain effective communication systems with key partners including the police, CPS, HMCTS, social services, education, primary care trust (mental and sexual health), Victim Support, Witness Service, CAFCASS and voluntary sector organisations.
·To participate in team meetings, supervision, training and development.
·To participate in co-location working within Colchester and Chelmsford police stations.
· To provide specialist advice to other workers and agencies, including participation in the delivery of training sessions.
· To have a clear understanding of the myths surrounding sexual violence, and the trauma and long-term mental health effects it creates, including self-harm, suicidal feelings and suicide attempts.
· To be aware of resources available regarding interpreters, signers etc.
· To attend regular team meetings and to work with colleagues to further the objectives of CARA.
· To adhere in full to all CARA’s organisational policies and procedures, including safeguarding.
· To report to the ISVA Manager, Head of Operations, CEO and Trustees as required, including the production of written reports.
· To be administratively self-servicing.
· To undertake any other related activities as required by the ISVA Manager, Head of Operations, CEO or Board of Trustees.

Job Summary
As Senior IDVA you will work within a dynamic, fast-paced crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. This role combines oversight of the Duty IDVA service with specialist responsibility for MARAC coordination and participation. You will lead on MARAC responsibilities, oversee the Duty service, line manage two Duty IDVAs, support the Angelou Service Manager with administrative tasks, and hold a reduced caseload providing high-quality advocacy and support based on client-led needs and risk assessments.
You will ensure that the Duty service runs effectively, maintaining referral pathways, ensuring that documents and procedures are in place and embedded into working practice supporting those covering duty as required.
You will line manage the Duty IDVAs and will manage the allocation of cases from duty, liaising with Managers. You will assist the Manager with data collection, data analysis and problem solving.
Acting as the MARAC lead for the team you will oversee the quality of the internal MARAC process, ensuring cases are prepared and presented effectively, attend MARAC meetings on a rota basis and follow up on agreed actions.
You will also contribute to duty work, conducting calls and initial assessments and responding to crises, working within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women referred to our service.
You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector and in working with women with children. The post holder will be proficient in data collection and case work recording. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.
