Contract: 12-month fixed term contract

About the role
As a Housing and Homelessness Practitioner, you will be part of the coaching team to help motivate members with varying levels of engagement within the Skylight; some practice will be planned and structured with others more complex and requiring a multi-agency response.
The key to success will be your ability to integrate with the client services teams on a day-to-day basis; to make collaborative, consistent and psychologically informed relationships with colleagues and members.
About you
As part of the Lead Worker team you have a real opportunity to demonstrate your empathy for people experiencing homelessness. Sometimes members are distressed by their situation and this role would suit someone who is resilient, tenacious, compassionate, and creative. You will work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced environment and an ability to communicate effectively and prioritise competing demands are essential.
You will have experience in homelessness (directly or within a relevant sector) and have demonstratable skills in understanding homelessness legislation and advocating on behalf of people. We know that there are many factors that play a significant part in someone's homelessness including issues with health and wellbeing, financial security, social networks etc. Experience of offering support in these areas is essential and transferable skills welcome.
You will have a track record of working with partner agencies, developing, maintaining strong working relationships, and collaborating to achieve the best outcomes for members.
You will be interested in evolving your skills and playing an active role as we continue to develop our service and coaching principles further.
You will need to align with our organisational values that hold us accountable in assisting our members to improve and relieve their homelessness and demonstrate this through your work and behaviours.

YMCA DownsLink Group’s WiSE (What is Sexual Exploitation) Project is an innovative, award winning project working across East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and Surrey, with children and young people experiencing or at risk of sexual exploitation; as well as raising awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation and other forms of Child Criminal Exploitation.
We are looking for someone with the confidence to develop a new support offer for Surrey. This new post offers the opportunity to work in the WiSE team in Surrey in an exciting new role which has two strands to it; providing targeted early intervention peer group sessions to young people (up to 25 years,) who have been identified by their educational placement as being vulnerable too sexual or criminal exploitation. The role also entails working alongside Education and other agencies to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls by creating and facilitating training to teachers of the PSHE curriculum in both Primary and Secondary schools in Surrey. The successful applicant will be supported in the role through Reflective Supervision Practice, along with regular one-to-ones.
This role will be based out of a Police Station in Surrey, which can be discussed at interview. There will be frequent travel and it is essential you hold a current driving license and have access to your own car.

You will be working as part of the West Sussex night team providing mobile support to our 24-hour services, ensuring that our transitional properties are safe, secure, and welcoming through the night. You will be based at the Horsham Y Centre and will support the static night worker there during the night as well as undertaking your mobile duties. You will regularly complete building checks and monitor CCTV upkeeping health and safety regulations in accordance with YMCA DLG's policies and procedures. You will work to prevent any anti-social behaviour from impacting our neighbours and other residents. You will help to contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
In addition, you will work alongside other support staff to maximise the wellbeing of residents by completing one to one interventions with young people who may be experiencing mental health crisis and/or who may need medical assistance.
This is a mobile role, requiring all applicants to have a full valid, UK Driving Licence. You will also be lone working as part of the role, so you will need to be comfortable with decision making and following procedures.
You will work on four nights on, four nights off rota. Although these are long shifts, you will get four days off after, which can provide a great work life balance.

Main Purpose of Job
The Young Carers Project Worker will be responsible for planning, orgnaising and delivering sessions for young carers in the Northolt and Greenford areas of Ealing. TACT South West are looking for a children's resource worker to collaborate with them to support unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young people across this TACT region.
The ideal Children's Resource Worker will already have some experience in working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young people. This role is required to work one-to-one with young people who are victims of child exploitation and on systems change.

We are the professional, statutory, and regulatory body (PSRB) responsible for qualifications, quality standards and safeguarding for youth work and services in England. About the Role
The National Youth Agency (NYA) is looking to recruit a group of enthusiastic Youth Consultants. In this role you will be integral in shaping the services and strategies that cater to young people and your responsibilities will span various critical areas.
Initially, you will engage in and facilitate training sessions, imparting essential youth participation training to various stakeholders.
Communication is key; you will regularly liaise with both internal staff and external organisations to promote collaboration and ensure all activities align with our youth-centered mission.

As a Youth Consultant you will:
- Participate in training and delivering youth participation training.
- Liaise and communicate with internal staff and external organisations.
- Attend bi-weekly meetings in the evenings.
- Review internal processes, documents, systems and structures.
- Support the development and delivery of our youth participation strategy.
- Host workshops and events for the NYA as and when needed.
- Support the governance structure of the NYA.
- Advocate the work of the NYA and develop relationships with organisations.
- Support the implementation and delivery of youth participation.
- Generate new ideas and implement creative outlooks for the NYA for meaningful outcomes.
- Attend meetings and residentials (online and in-person).

Job Description
Post Title: Youth Violence Intervention Practitioner
Location: The post will work across all Birmingham service sites but be based primarily at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. All Redthread team members must have a flexible approach to supporting other sites when needed. There will be a need for regular visits to Redthread’s main offices in London and other projects and activities that take place at various locations across London and the UK.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. The nature of Redthread’s work means that regular evening and weekend work is required. You will be required to work shifts to ensure that the team covers from 7:30am to 9pm each day between them.
Salary: £26,302.50 per annum + benefits
Contract type: 12-month fixed term, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.

The right candidate will be a seasoned campaign manager with experience across a range of channels like direct mail, email, and telemarketing. Their creative flair and understanding of what mobilises individual giving audiences will help them to develop compelling propositions for support. Their strategic mindset and data literacy will ensure they spot performance trends and optimise their campaigns over time.
As individual giving lead, the Senior Income & Engagement Officer will join War on Want at a very exciting time. We have recently launched a new supporter mobilisation strategy to bring transformative growth to our supporter base, both increasing participation with War on Want campaigns, and increasing the number of active War on Want members who support our work with regular monthly donations.
This position would suit an experienced fundraiser who’s looking to take ownership of an individual giving strategy. In doing so, they will oversee a significant proportion of War on Want’s income and engagement Programme and make a valued contribution in the fight against global poverty.
