Engineers Against Poverty (EAP) is a leader in infrastructure and international development with strong links with development agencies, government and industry. EAP is seeking a self-motivated Programme Manager to help deliver quality results with its growing portfolio of programmes. Across the programmes you oversee, you’ll be responsible for coordinating their successful delivery of quality results. Initially you will focus on an anti-corruption programme funded by the US Government and EAP’s contribution towards FCDO’s Green Cities and Infrastructure programme. You will work with EAP's senior leadership and its advisors, project partners and beneficiaries, funders and other stakeholders to maximise positive impact. You’ll strengthen EAP's programmes by managing specific budgets, KPIs, project plans, sub-grants and monitoring and evaluation efforts using established systems.
The programmes and projects you will work on will vary and evolve over time, as we strengthen donor and client relationships together. You’ll also have a role in shaping our future work, contributing to business development by coordinating grant proposals, commercial bids and strategic partnerships. You will also help to organise board meetings and international workshops.
Across all our programmes, professional communication, branding of EAP and stakeholder (new) engagement and management is key. Programme delivery is rarely linear so you must be comfortable in rapidly evolving and dynamic environments.
The appointee will also take on for the same role for CoST, the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative – a transparency and accountability programme which operates in 20 countries and for which EAP hosts its International Secretariat.
You will be working remotely with in-person team meetings usually held in London 4 to 5 times a year. We are open to candidates living outside of the UK.

Role Overview
The Programme Associate delivers Facing History training and support to educators, helps to build and engage our network of teachers and, using Facing History’s pedagogical framework, creates clear and accessible curriculum materials and resources.
The Programme Associate will initially be managed by the Executive Director and be accountable to our Senior Programme Associate (responsible for programme delivery) and Senior Curriculum Developer (responsible for developing and adapting educational resources) respectively for work that falls into their areas of responsibility.
This post holder will be required to attend meetings in London and there will be travel across the UK. Proximity to good transport links is therefore essential.
Key Duties and Accountabilities
Working alongside the programme team, the postholder will have the following key duties and responsibilities:

Programme Delivery: planning, preparing for and delivering training for educators both online and in person.

Teacher Community Support and Engagement: creating relationships with teachers across our community, and running events and opportunities for them to engage more effectively with the organisation. Supporting the development of our teacher engagement journey and implementing new elements of this as they are developed. Supporting our developing online communities, and working to build and expand membership and engagement with them. Supporting evaluation and monitoring of the work, utilising relationships with teachers to secure their participation in surveys, focus groups and evaluation studies, as needed. Working with the Programme Administrator to ensure that regular communications go out to the educator network and to keep the database up to date.

Programme Partnerships: alongside the Senior Programme Associate identifying and developing partnerships with schools, academy trusts (England), regional bodies and third sector organisations who can help to disseminate our work and become potential delivery partners.

Content Development: alongside the Senior Curriculum Developer, developing web- and print-based content for teachers and students, including lesson plans, units, study guides, and other resources. Researching, writing, and summarising complex histories to provide context for resources. Maintaining knowledge and expertise in best practices in teaching, pedagogy, and assessment, and ensuring those practices are reflected as appropriate in Facing History content. Providing content for our Ideas This Week website page and providing other means of supporting teachers to respond to current events in their classrooms. In conjunction with the Programme Administrator write / review content for Facing History UK social media activity linked to existing and newly developed resources.
Other: contributing to the smooth operation and effectiveness of the charity as part of a small team, representing the charity at events and conferences as required, and supporting the work of other members of the team as reasonably required.

Sailors’ Children’s Society is a local children’s charity that has recently appointed a new Chief Executive Officer. We have ambitious plans for growth and this new role within the charity will help drive this.
We are looking for a vibrant, driven and personable individual who loves to connect with people and make lasting relationships. This role involves lots of networking, attending out of hours social events and and presenting to audiences, so we are looking for someone that thrives in a social environment, can approach people confidently and can passionately spread the message about our charity’s work. The Partnership Manager must be able to work independently and use their own initiative. Experience in a similar role would be beneficial but this is not essential.
Reporting to the CEO, the Partnership Manager will be responsible for securing corporate partners for the charity and managing its existing partners. They will also assist the CEO in building contacts nationally and act as one of the key representatives of the charity. The successful applicant will undergo an induction programme with Andy King Director of Fireside Fundraising to fully equip them to be successful in the role.
This role involves regular interactions with the business community and will occasionally require out of hours work, sometimes at short notice, to attend events, including some weekends and evenings (sometimes these can go on until midnight). Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Grow corporate support by identifying, connecting and creating partnerships with businesses.
- Provide excellent stewardship of all current corporate partners including marketing and fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

- Presenting to businesses and audiences at events
- Raise funds against agreed targets
- Manage social media content relating to corporate support and the business community
- Identify, research and approach a pipeline of potential corporate partners

About you:
You will be an enthusiastic and confident person with excellent communication skills and the ability to create strong and lasting relationships whilst working towards the achievement of targets.
The following skills are essential:
· Experience in a sales, business development or fundraising role.
· A full clean driving license and access to own car
· Knowledge of the principles of good supporter management and/or customer care
· Excellent negotiating and influencing skills
· A proven track record in achieving targets
· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
· Experience of developing and maintaining relationships across a wide range of contacts, preferably in the business community
The following skills are desirable:
· Understanding and experience of budgeting
· Experience working in the corporate sector

About us:
Sailors’ Children’s Society is a national charity that supports the disadvantaged children of seafarers during times of crisis such as a bereavement, family breakdown or diagnosis of a terminal or life limiting illness. We provide financial, practical and emotional support to our families for 3 to 5 years or until they are back on their feet again. We work with all seafarers: Royal Navy, fishing fleet, merchant navy, cruise ships, inland canal boats and so on.
We are a small but passionate team with our head office based in Hull where the charity started in 1821. In Hull we have our full time CEO, a part time administrator, a part time fundraiser, a full time triage support officer and a part time finance officer. We have two Family Support Officers one based in Portsmouth and one based in Plymouth. Family Support Officers visit families face to face and support our families online.

About the role:
The first national strategy for kinship care in England is expected soon, and the focus on kinship care is growing. We have an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and strategic network builder to join us at a time of change and opportunity.
You’ll seize opportunities to influence positive change, leading on the design and delivery of targeted strategies to develop and co-ordinate strong and collaborative relationships with local authorities and other services supporting kinship families in England. You’ll lead on mapping local and national services, developing effective partnerships and connecting the ecosystem of support for kinship families so they can more easily find the support they need.
You’ll have a particular focus on developing relationships with local authorities to support the successful delivery of our new national Kinship Carer Training and Support Service, funded by the Department for Education (from October 2023 for 18 months with potential extensions up until March 2027), as well as generating opportunities for our growing peer support network and Kinship’s wider portfolio of services.
You’ll combine strategic planning with an ability to model a new way of working that is centred on partnerships, collaboration and excellent use of our Salesforce CRM. Leading a new team of two regional Network Development Managers, each of you will be responsible for delivery of your plan in one region in England (North, Midlands and South). You’ll also work closely with colleagues in Wales to support a co-ordinated approach.

S.A.L.V.E. International is a small International Development partnership charity registered in the UK and Uganda. Our ethos is “Support And Love Via Education”. We support children living and working on the streets of Uganda, and their families, to have a brighter future.
We are looking to recruit a new CEO who believes in our vision that there should be “No Street Called Home” for children living on the streets in Uganda and who wants to help us to grow this impact and further change children’s lives.
What does the CEO role involve?
You will join and lead our incredible global team, working alongside our volunteers, staff teams and trustee boards in both the UK and Uganda, to help S.A.L.V.E. International to thrive and increase our impact. As a small charity, we need a proactive and practical CEO, who is as much able to deliver high level presentations about our work as they are to get stuck in to cover practical gaps that might stop us from achieving our goals.
We have a current strategic plan that you would ensure is being met and if possible exceeded, and then you would be expected to collaboratively develop the next strategic plan to be ready for when this one elapses in April 2027. You would be working with our team to progress and improve our existing programmes of work as well as ensuring new programmes are being researched and developed as needed for the organisation to best benefit our service users.
You will need to drive forwards and oversee our fundraising strategy and manage relationships with new and existing funders to a high standard to ensure that maximum potential support is achieved. We would expect you to proactively identify potential new areas of support, approaching and winning resources from new partnerships in the wider community to best meet S.A.L.V.E.’s aims and objectives. You would be a key ambassador for our work, always looking to inspire others about how they can join us and help us to achieve our mission.
Practically the role will involve:
● 40 hours a week if working 5 days (or 32 hours a week if you choose to work 4 days).
● Being majority based in the UK with regular travel to Uganda each year. You can choose to be based at our office in Manchester, hybrid between office and home work or be mostly home based.
● Being flexible to travel and attend meetings, talks and events as needed (some in evening and weekend hours).
We believe that it is highly beneficial for the CEO to be based in the UK but to visit the programme in Uganda for a minimum of 1 month a year and a maximum of 3 months a year, which would be split across 2 or 3 trips in the year to understand the work in greater depth, share their skills and to meet and collaborate with team members and service users. The amount and duration of trips would be assessed based on personal circumstances and organisational needs year to year.
CEO specific responsibilities:
As CEO you would be responsible for:
✔ Working collaboratively with our global team of staff, volunteers, and board members to ensure a strong strategic plan is in place which is reviewed and improved over time to maximise the organisation’s impact. We currently have a team of 2.5 in the UK (including the CEO) and 26 in Uganda.
✔ Leading and championing our fundraising strategy. Helping to develop our one off and regular financial supporters through finding new opportunities and networks, giving talks, ensuring quality timely communications, and reporting to existing supporters.
✔ Recruiting, training, developing and managing staff and volunteers to help to build the capacity of the organisation as needed.
✔ Collaboratively create, review, and develop policies, procedures and systems to help to ensure quality safeguarding and risk management for the organisation.
✔ Overseeing the budget and financial management of the organisation to ensure the organisation’s long term sustainability and sound financial management. Collaboratively reviewing the charity’s financial controls and performance and overseeing the internal audit of our accounts with the finance committee.
✔ Working closely with and supporting our UK and Ugandan boards to ensure that the governance of the organisation is strong.
✔ Supporting and co-working with our Development Manager to research new application prospects, and helping to maintain and develop the income from our existing network of corporate, organisational and Trust and Foundation partnerships and donors. This includes writing and reviewing funding applications and reports as needed.
✔ Overseeing the communications strategy of the organisation, ensuring the website, social media, newsletters, annual report and mailings out to supporters are kept up to date by supporting our Communications and Admin Officer. This includes drafting and checking copy and promoting and marketing events and campaigns for the organisation to raise funds and awareness.
✔ Leading and collaborating with the wider team to develop and improve our programmes through regular evaluation and learning reviews.
✔ Seek opportunities to develop the organisation’s knowledge through training and staff and volunteer development.
✔ Representing S.A.L.V.E. in partnerships and networks such as the Consortium for Street Children to ensure that we are making the most of advocacy opportunities.
Essential skills/ experience for the CEO:
• Have proven experience of communicating well with different stakeholders and successfully raising funds.
• Have previous management/leadership experience within the charity sector and are able to evidence their enthusiasm and dedication for this particular cause.
• Have experience in successfully working internationally and/ or with people from different cultural backgrounds.
• Have the ability to create, review and develop strategies, policies, procedures and systems to ensure that S.A.L.V.E. is following good practice in line with the law and latest good practice guidelines.
• Have a can-do attitude. Be solution focused and creative in their ability to approach problems and evidence this throughout their career history.
• Being friendly and approachable to all members of the team and wider public.

What does the role involve?
This role offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate to work with the Board, staff, and the wider grassroots network and make sure the vision, strategy and direction of the organisation are up to date and relevant to the needs of those we work with.
The purpose of the job is to lead the3million on a day-to-day basis within the parameters required by law, in conjunction with the organisation’s Board of Directors.
The post-holder will have particular regard to the obligations of the3million as a limited liability company to ensure that the organisation remains financially viable, as well as identify, manage and mitigate risks in a timely manner working with the Board.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing the organisation

Person Specification
The post-holder will have:

Main accountabilities

The position is a senior role and may be responsible for representation with partners and donors working in these sectors, as required, overseeing the development of concept notes and proposals, as well as carrying out field assessments and program design work as required. The position is also responsible for strategizing for the refunding of existing programming in these sectors. The Senior Business Development Specialist will track and review donor solicitations and determine strategy for application and design and write proposals. They will contribute as a member of a team to a strategic approach to business development at Internews to ensure the organization raises over $22,000,000 annually from public sector donors in Europe, including the EC, FCDO, the Dutch, Norway, and SIDA, among others.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:

QUALIFICATIONS

Purpose of role:
As part of our small and flexible team, the Fundraising and Development Manager is primarily responsible for maximising income and support for Treasures Foundation, so that we can continue with our success and meet our ambitious plans for expansion.
The Fundraising and Development Manager reports to the Operations Manager.
Main responsibilities:
Strategy
- Maintain and implement our Fundraising Strategy with a focus on Trusts and Foundations, whilst developing other streams of revenue, including corporate partnerships, online fundraising, major donors and the potential creation of a social enterprise.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the organisational strategy for the charity.
Fundraising
- Build on the successful development of the current fundraising programme to ensure the growth and consolidation of key income streams.

- Identify new and creative opportunities for increasing and generating income.
- Produce attractive and engaging materials to support the fundraising plan and present a compelling case for support to funders and donors. This includes maintaining the website and social media platforms.
