MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Playing a key role within the Fundraising Team, the post holder will be personally responsible for developing a multi-million-pound pipeline of new corporate partnership opportunities that will have a significant positive impact on income over the current and future years, contributing to budgeting and forecasting. Working closely with the Senior Partnership Development Manager,(Regional), community fundraising and corporate partnerships team, you will focus on partnerships valued up to circa £100k per annum leveraging Teenage Cancer Trust’s strong position and reputation in the sector to forge multi-year collaborations with companies and high-profile brands.
You will also provide expertise and support to Relationship Managers to maximise all levels of corporate giving, working specifically to ensure robust retention plans are in place for each partnership to ensure long-term support for Teenage Cancer Trust. Your focus will be on partners and prospects with a regional focus but may be asked to expand this area to meet the needs of the business.
In one of the toughest environments for corporate partnerships know to the sector, you will be tenacious in your focus on finding new and innovative ways to engage companies within a hugely challenging environment.

Who are you?

Key Responsibilities

Proactively identify, research, and cultivate relationships with prospective trusts & foundations, corporate partners and individuals with the potential to make four, five and six-figure contributions.

Prioritise activity by assessing and deciding on appropriate follow up of all partners and prospects, including introductions that come in through colleagues, volunteers and other supporters.

Provide and structure a level of care and stewardship that makes our supporters feel valued and excited as the mission critical partners they are.

Drive outreach to potential new partners and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the delivery of effective donor cultivation.

Work with colleagues to develop communications and marketing products that support your areas of income responsibility.

Work with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing to develop and implement a targeted fundraising plan for your areas of income responsibility.

Manage, monitor and report on income within set areas of responsibility, and ensure all legal and fundraising regulatory compliance through excellent record keeping.

Maintain the operational systems required to manage high quality donor cultivation, stewardship and research.

Keep abreast of news and trends within the fundraising, geospatial, data and humanitarian sectors and share knowledge across a wider team as appropriate.

Requirements

The role and your key responsibilities
As an Account Manager, your role is to make sure that all partners in your area make the most out of the Unifrog platform. You’ll build and maintain excellent working relationships with your partner schools and provide expert guidance on how to embed the platform across the whole school.
You will cover your own area of the country with occasional travel to your partner school and colleges (on average 1-2 days per week).

As HE Partnerships Manager, your role is to grow our university partner numbers and support our existing university partners to get the most out of their partnership with us. Key details
- Base salary of £35,000 plus commission.

Job Purpose
Reporting directly to the Director of Gulf Partnerships, as Head of Gulf Partnerships & Philanthropy, you will be responsible for setting the direction & strategy for future growth, maximising significant transformational gift (£1m+) potential, driving new business/portfolios and stewarding relationships at the highest level. Main Accountabilities
The Head of Gulf Partnerships & Philanthropy will be responsible for advancing our philanthropy in the Gulf. Additionally, you will:
- Be accountable for the team's performance and direction and oversee the portfolio that account leads are working on. You will inspire, motivate and lead a team across multiple geographies and countries
- Be integral to the setting & delivery of our strategy to build long-lasting, highly engaged relationships with philanthropists and private sector partners through skillful cultivation & stewardship, with on focus on 7 figure gifts & relationships
- Generate new links through peer-to-peer approaches & actively network to generate a pipeline worth a minimum of $10m annually

Person Profile
We are looking for a candidate with experience within the Gulf markets and demonstrable experience in high-level stewardship and sales. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are vital to being successful in this role and having experience developing, networking, & enhancing philanthropic relationships, preferably at £1m+ giving levels. In addition, you will have:
- A demonstrable track record of successfully leading teams in a target-driven environment

This is a brand new, exciting opportunity within myaware to manage our existing and future research funding programme and develop our partnership working with organisations associated with the healthcare and treatment development for those living with myasthenia. This could include NHS Trusts, research centre, pharmaceutical companies and other charitable organisations.
The role
As Research and Partnerships Officer you will be responsible for processing all research funding applications in line with myaware’s research funding policy. Working closely with the CEO, myaware medical/scientific committee and our legal team to ensure completion of all necessary legal requirements. You will work with successful grant/project leaders to ensure timely grant/project progress reporting and cultivate and maintain excellent working relationships and regular communications with myaware’s research funders including the families/executors of legators. This role will also include opportunity to host or represent myaware at important research meetings and events.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that the needs and challenges of our members are represented within the wider healthcare community, to increase vital awareness with the opportunity to develop the way in which myaware advocates on behalf of its members. Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia.
We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.
We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.
Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our specialist benefits advisor and telephone or Skype counsellor.
Myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families. We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals.
The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 12,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

About the role
The Head of Partnerships is a new and critical role, created as part of our merger with the YMCA George Williams College. We hope the merger will see our quality improvement and training work grow, alongside extending our communities of practice and our offer to them. As such, we created a dedicated post to hold, nurture and grow our approach to working with and through networks, and to oversee our partnership projects.
Networks have long been at the heart of the Centre for Youth Impact’s approach. Built over the last eight years, we deeply value our relationships with our Regional Impact Networks across England, and are excited by the emergence of new relationships in Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland – and indeed internationally, particularly building on the legacy of the College. There is now the opportunity to revisit our approach to working with and through networks, particularly in developing a more responsive and ‘tiered’ offer that reflects and responds to the needs, ambitions, and experiences of our different stakeholders.
The Head of Partnerships will be responsible for implementing a new network strategy, strengthening these relationships (including transitioning existing network leads to potentially new ways of working), and framing the support that we offer to network ‘members’ across the UK (further details on our existing networks can be found here). This will include scoping, defining and implementing our approach to supporting/collaborating with members of the YMCA Federation in England and Wales alongside building relationships with the Federations in Scotland and the island of Ireland, as part of the merger with YMCA George Williams College. Over the past few years in particular, the Centre has been increasing its partnership projects: significant programmes of work with one major partner or funder, including cohort-level evaluation, capacity building and learning partnerships.The Head of Partnerships will also manage a range of partnership projects, working alongside other members of the team to initiate, design, and deliver cutting-edge programmes of work. The post-holder will work closely with the Director of Programmes and Director of Strategy and Learning to ensure that we are integrating our learning from our networks into our wider strategy and programmes of work focused on research, evaluation, and organisational learning.
The Head of Partnerships will play a strong role in supporting income generation, particularly for our network support activities. The post holder will also contribute significantly to our communications activities, amplifying the work and voices of our networks, and offering our platform in contribution to greater collective impact.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an outstanding candidate who is imaginative and responsive, with strong interest and high-level skills in building alliances and collaborations, alongside capacity building for social sector organisations. You will need to have an appetite for understanding and navigating complexity, with an inquisitive mind and interest in youth-focused public policy and system dynamics. An interest and solid understanding of evaluation would be a distinct plus. You will also need to be a strong and confident project manager, with exceptional relationship skills.
