The Role
We are looking for a Partnerships Development Manager to develop our approach to, and implement a comprehensive partnership development plan, aligning with our longer term strategic aims. You’ll collaborate across the organisation to understand business aims and objectives, and with one eye on the external market you’ll help to find solutions through seeking new opportunities and in turn developing key new relationships with organisations. The Contract Governance team helps Frontline deliver its mission by supporting the governance of Approach Social Work and other strategically important work, making sure decisions are clear, risks are understood, strategic partnerships work well, and colleagues have what they need to deliver lasting change for children and families.
This role is placed at a senior-manager banding to reflect the level of responsibility, autonomy and judgement required. Job summary
The Senior Policy and Research Manager will play a central role in building MNMUK’s advocacy arguments both globally and within the UK. The postholder will lead MNMUK’s flagship research projects, developing and commissioning new research, managing consultants, writing compelling reports and supporting the team with widespread dissemination across donor markets and media.
We are looking for someone who has demonstrable experience of developing, commissioning and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data/research, and who has had experience of working in a team to translate evidence and policy into advocacy arguments and media outputs. We are looking for a confident communicator (especially in written form) with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Key responsibilities
Research and evidence management
· Lead the development, commissioning and project management of quality research, data and insight projects to build advocacy arguments and drive news media coverage
· Lead on generating evidence, insights and research, including analysis of existing data (evidence reviews/secondary analysis) and primary quantitative/qualitative research
· Drive sustainable, well accepted processes to ensure the organisation uses up to date and accurate statistics and messaging
· Monitor updates in malaria science and research, keeping MNMUK aware of key developments
· Develop subject expertise on malaria, global health research and development and new financing (World Bank IDA, philanthropy, blended finance)
Campaign and media support
· Write compelling reports, briefings and inquiry submissions for politicians and policymakers, and work with colleagues to provide support on similar documents.

· Support the development of policy and campaign propositions across our MNMUK’ work (including innovation/science of malaria tools and financing opportunities for global health)

Partner relationship management
· Develop and manage relationships with key partners in the fields of scientific research e.g. LSHTM and global health bodies e.g. Gavi, the vaccine alliance

Fundraising at the Sutton Trust
We are seeking a dynamic and confident fundraiser to be our Corporate Partnerships & Events Manager. The Sutton Trust is at an exciting point in our organisational journey, with a new Chairperson and ambitions to significantly grow our impact and fundraising as part of our 2030 strategy.
Over the past five years the impact of the Sutton Trust has increased, especially with our programmes which have gone from supporting 11,000 young people a year to 14,000 in the 24/25 programme year. We have secured a relatively stable income of c.£6m over several years, and in the last two years this has grown to £7m+. Our organisational strategy, which takes us to 2030/31, will continue this fundraising trajectory with a need to increase annual income on a sustained basis to £12m. With corporate income accounting for nearly half our fundraised income, there is considerable enthusiasm and opportunity in the corporate world for building strategic partnerships with The Sutton Trust.
Our fundraising approach will continue to focus on major gifts and strategic multi-year partnerships, leveraging a range of drivers to secure corporate support. Our highly engaged Chairperson has a commercial background and is keen to leverage contacts in the corporate world, giving a network of prospective contacts to explore.
The role and team
As Corporate Partnerships & Events Manager, you will be an experienced partnership manager and fundraiser, confident in securing new business through active prospecting and networking along with experience in securing and stewarding strategic partnerships with corporates and their associated corporate foundations. You will have an entrepreneurial mindset for income generation, able to confidently manage competing demands to balance securing new partnerships and delivering high quality account management to your portfolio of current and prospective supporters.
The role will lead a portfolio of corporate partnerships, focused on delivering shared strategic goals to increase social mobility in the workplace and supporting a more socio-economically diverse workforce for the future. The role will be the point-person within the Development Team for organisational events, working closely with key colleagues in our marketing & events and programme functions to support delivery of high-quality events. They will also take responsibility for delivering successful stewardship events, including programme visits. It will be crucial to work closely with a range of stakeholders, especially colleagues, to deliver successful stewardship events that showcase the varied work of the Sutton Trust and engage supporters with our work. Main duties
New Business

Personally scope, develop and secure new five-figure+ corporate partnerships, aiming for a diverse and robust portfolio of partners with multi-year commitments, working with the Head of Corporate Partnerships, other senior staff, and senior volunteers appropriately to secure and steward.

Proactively approach new business development within the corporate sector, cultivating relationships and networks to grow awareness of The Sutton Trust and secure major gifts.

Support the Head of Corporate Partnerships in their work with senior volunteers to develop a strong prospect pipeline for major corporate gifts, including support for network mapping to leverage connections and cultivate prospective funders.
Events, Account Management and Development

Manage and grow the Trust’s leadership and partner level corporate partnerships in your portfolio, including leveraging existing relationships to maximise financial income and partnership longevity.

Appropriately leverage senior staff and volunteers to secure multi-lateral relationships with corporate partners and prospects, with the aim of retaining partnerships and uplifting income.

Person Specification

About the Project
The Thames Catchment Community Eels Project (TCCEP) is a multi-partner, catchment-scale initiative working to support the recovery of the critically endangered European eel. Bringing together a strong consortium of environmental and community-focused organisations, the project delivers conservation, engagement and education activity across the Thames Basin.
Currently in its Development Phase, TCCEP is designing a high-quality Delivery Phase programme running from 2027 to 2030, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The Activity Plan sits at the heart of this application and will directly shape how communities, volunteers and schools across the region connect with rivers, wildlife and conservation for years to come.
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to lead engagement strategy for a flagship environmental partnership. As Activity Plan and Engagement Manager, you will take the lead on developing the TCCEP Activity Plan and Volunteer Engagement Plan, bringing together partner expertise, consultation insights and consultant outputs into a coherent, inclusive and fundable plan that meets NLHF requirements.
This is not a delivery role. Your focus will be on shaping, coordinating and integrating contributions from across the partnership to create something ambitious, realistic and compelling. You will provide strategic leadership across the Engagement and Education Workstreams, working closely with delivery partners, consultants and stakeholders to ensure all activity is aligned, accessible and outcome-focused.
What You'll Be Doing
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development of the Activity Plan and Action Plan, ensuring all components are aligned, integrated and NLHF-compliant
- Leading the development of the Volunteer Engagement Plan and coordinating integration of consultant-led outputs
- Providing strategic leadership across the Engagement and Education Workstreams
- Facilitating workstream meetings, workshops and partner discussions
- Working with the Programme Manager and partners to define activities, audiences, outputs, outcomes, costs and delivery responsibilities
- Coordinating stakeholder, community, school and volunteer mapping
- Ensuring activities are inclusive, accessible and aligned with EDIB principles
- Contributing engagement and education data to Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)
- Providing regular progress, risk and delivery updates to the Programme Manager and Steering Group
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who can bring together ideas, people and evidence to create a clear, compelling and fundable Activity Plan. You will be confident navigating complexity, coordinating multiple partners and synthesising diverse inputs into a coherent whole.
Essential experience and skills include:
- Experience developing strategic plans or programmes for funders
- Experience in engagement and/or education programme development
- Experience coordinating multi-partner projects
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple inputs and deadlines
The following would be an advantage:
- Experience of National Lottery Heritage Fund projects
- Understanding of evaluation frameworks and outcome-based design
- Knowledge of the environmental, heritage or conservation sectors
- Experience of co-design or participatory approaches
You will also need to be willing to travel across the Thames Basin and to work occasional evenings for workshops or stakeholder sessions.
About Thames Rivers Trust
Thames Rivers Trust (TRT) is a catchment-based environmental charity dedicated to improving river health and resilience across the Thames Basin. We work collaboratively with delivery partners, statutory agencies and funders to deliver nature-based solutions, support environmental data infrastructure, and increase community access to rivers and blue spaces. TRT is the host organisation for TCCEP.
Employment Terms
- Salary: £38,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Contract: Fixed-term to 31st May 2027, with potential extension subject to further funding

Equal Education is a social enterprise working to improve outcomes and narrow the attainment gap for disadvantaged and vulnerable learners, including Children Looked After, those with SEND, and unaccompanied asylum seeking children. We have over 13 years’ experience delivering 1:1 tuition, working with hundreds of Schools and Local Authority partners across the country, reaching hundreds of pupils annually.
As a member of the Fair Education Alliance, we believe in providing meaningful educational provision to students whose needs may not be best met within a traditional classroom environment, those who aren’t currently accessing education, or who benefit from additional 1:1 support. We work with over 200 qualified teachers to provide academic, subject specialised and individual tutoring and mentoring for children of all ages. What is the Role?
This is a fixed-term maternity cover opportunity for a Partnerships Account Manager. In this role, you will drive business growth by securing new partnerships and managing key client accounts across designated regions.
