This essential role will oversee the coordination, governance, and planning of the Thames Catchment Community Eels Project (TCCEP) Development Phase. The Programme Manager will supervise the programme's daily operations, manage partner input into key workstreams (capital design, education, citizen science, inclusion), and ensure that timelines, budgets, and deliverables meet The Heritage Fund expectations. The role involves direct responsibility for preparing the Delivery Phase funding application and ensuring that the Development Phase creates a strong legacy platform for long term impact. Thames Rivers Trust (TRT) is a catchment-based environmental charity focused on enhancing river health and resilience throughout the Thames Basin. As a convening organisation, TRT collaborates with local delivery partners, statutory agencies, and funders to implement nature based solutions, support environmental data infrastructure, and improve community access to blue spaces. TRT coordinates the Thames Catchment Community Eels Project (TCCEP), building on a tradition of multi-partner catchment initiatives to achieve significant environmental and social benefits. The Thames Catchment Community Eels Project (TCCEP) is a £3 million flagship programme delivered by Thames Rivers Trust in partnership with seven NGOs and catchment groups. The Development Phase, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, runs from January 2026 to April 2027 and lays the groundwork for a three-year Delivery Phase (2028–2030) across six sub-catchments. This builds on the successful Phase 1 pilot funded through The Green Recovery Challenge Fund (2020–2022).

The Senior Fundraising and Grants Manager is accountable for:

Fundraising Strategy & Planning

• Design, deliver and monitor a values-aligned fundraising strategy, with a primary focus on trusts and foundations.

• Set annual income targets, track progress against goals, and report performance to senior leadership and trustees.

• Identify new income opportunities to support Bite Back’s strategic growth and impact.

• Develop and maintain a 12–24 month grant pipeline to forecast income and manage funding cycles.

Grants from Trusts and Foundations

They will represent Saferworld in interactions with relevant authorities, donors, and other stakeholders in Afghanistan, South Asia, and globally. The post-holder will engage in cross-organisational information-sharing and lesson-learning on policy and strategy issues, and develop written analysis linking experiences and learning in Afghanistan to global trends and platforms.

This programme operates in a complex context. In this environment, effective leadership requires that the post-holder centres partners voices and views in planning for and managing a range of expected and unexpected risks. The post-holder will contribute to organisation-wide strategic planning, processes and discussions to advance thematic and operational priorities, methodological approaches and organisational development. This will specifically require developing new ways of working to ensure impactful change, linking programmes across different contexts and regions.

We are looking for a highly engaging Volunteering and Community Partnerships Manager to lead and grow on the recruitment, development and retention of our pool of volunteers. You will work across the team to ensure all volunteers are well-supported, feel valued, and are making meaningful contributions to the charities mission. You will also plan and organise a calendar of fundraising and community events for the charity.

Step-Out Mentoring is an early intervention mentoring organisation that provides support for children and young people in the heart of South London through outdoor based 1:1 mentoring and group workshops. We work with children and young people aged 8-18 who are disengaged with education and/or life, referred to our service from Social care, GP’s, Mental health services and schools. Our mentors are all volunteers from the community who are trained to become youth mentors and matched to young people for weekly mentoring sessions.

Our mission is to equipe young people with the skills and emotional resilience to thrive in life. We provide a safe environment for disengaged children and young people to work through their challenges and reconnect with the community.

As a small and growing charity our staff team are embedded in all aspects of the work we do so it is encouraged that all staff engage in the activities with the young people including trips, residentials, mentoring and workshops. 

You will be leading on ensuring the charity has a steady stream of passionate volunteers and will be able to provide excellent support for them as they start their journeys of mentoring young people. You will also be leading on organising a yearly events calandar of community events and fundraisers. Which would include a Live Music event, expedition challenge (e.g hiking up mount Snowdon) plus family freindly fun days. We are seeking an experienced, community-minded Office Manager / Mentor to join us three days per week. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong organisational and systems-building skills with a genuine passion for helping young people grow.

You’ll ensure our office runs efficiently by maintaining and improving admin systems, supporting project delivery and strengthening our communication with partners, parents and governance structures.
