The role and your key responsibilities
As an Account Manager, your role is to make sure that all partners in your area make the most out of the Unifrog platform. You’ll build and maintain excellent working relationships with your partner schools and provide expert guidance on how to embed the platform across the whole school.
You will cover your own area of the country with occasional travel to your partner school and colleges (on average 1-2 days per week).
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Work with schools and colleges to provide resources and strategies which maximise staff and student engagement with Unifrog, identifying and promoting best practice across partner schools.
- Deliver targeted training sessions to staff within our partner schools and colleges via workshops and presentations, delivered remotely or in person.
- Work with your partner Area Manager to improve Unifrog engagement.
- Monitor and analyse usage across partner schools and colleges; identifying partners that need additional support to use the platform effectively.
- Listen to teachers and students about how we can improve our customer service and the Unifrog platform.
- Attend conferences and CPD events on behalf of Unifrog.

You’ll work alongside an Area Manager in your region, as well as people in our Partner Success and Account Management teams. You’ll be line-managed by our Head of UK Account Management.

The Community Team at Teenage Cancer Trust works in a collaborative way across the UK and uses the term ‘Community Hub Team’ to demonstrate this. The Hub way of working was developed during lockdown to maximise opportunities across the UK regardless of fundraiser or supporter location - this new role embraces the Hub ethos and does not have a regional budget.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- To ensure that the Community Hub Team generates income across the key income streams of community DIY fundraising, corporate fundraising and volunteer group fundraising, personally delivering and driving income to achieve an agreed income target.

ROLE FOCUS
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Community
- To identify, develop, support and steward existing and potential high value relationships in the best interests of Teenage Cancer Trust. This will include sensitive patient linked relationships, senior community and business influencers and NHS contacts.
- Identifying, supporting, and thereafter retaining high-value supporters and opportunities over the longer term and building complex and high value networks that will enable this work. Where necessary utilising cross team working to maximise the supporter’s engagement with the charity.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to volunteers, individuals and groups carrying out DIY fundraising activities and challenge events, to uplift value and drive retention.

- Using your experience of Regional Corporate Fundraising you will build a robust pipeline of corporate support within your portfolio of supporters.

- Ensure that qualifying, due diligence and contracting with supporters is carried out effectively in order to protect the best interests of the charity.
- Account manage corporate partners, leading on the most complex by developing and delivering account management plans to optimise their fundraising activity, ensure longevity and maximise income raised across the UK.

- Research, build and support local fundraising groups and activities in line with the Community Hub Team Operational Plan.

FINANCE AND PLANNING
- Support with the generation of accurate monthly, quarterly and year end reports against a set of defined performance metrics. Be accountable for developing and delivery of robust plans and pipelines, providing accurate income and activity forecasts against it.
- Proactively analyse internal and external data and insights, monitor activity trends, ensuring that opportunities are capitalised on and risks are mitigated to maintain a strong performance.

At the Public Interest News Foundation (PINF), we want everyone in the UK to benefit from public interest news that speaks to them, for them and with them. We work with print and digital news providers of all shapes and sizes, focusing in particular on independent providers with turnover below £2m. These innovative social enterprises are developing new models of journalism, but they face great challenges.
Since we started work in March 2020, we have provided independent news providers with funding and leadership development opportunities backed up by original research. Now, we want to strengthen the support for our mission among policymakers in the UK government and devolved administrations.
As Campaigns Manager, you will have lead responsibility for the success of the ‘News for All’ campaign, which aims to promote the value of independent news providers to policymakers and stakeholders. You will also be responsible for coordinating the Public Interest News Network, through which we work with a range of our partner organisations. And you will make sure that our core communications are clear and compelling.
We are a small, dedicated team with big ambitions. We work remotely from home or in co-working spaces, with get-togethers at least once a month. We all contribute to PINF’s evolving strategy, and we support and stretch each other to do our best work.

In your first 12 months as Campaigns Manager, you will:
- Lead on the successful delivery of the ‘News for All’ campaign, through which we are working in partnership with a range of organisations and individuals to ensure that policymakers support independent news providers through the forthcoming Digital Competition Bill and other areas of public policy.
- Co-ordinate the Public Interest News Network, through which we are developing our relationships with our partner organisations, to ensure that we contribute as effectively and efficiently as possible towards our shared aims.
- Build PINF’s profile and reputation with key audience groups, including not only policymakers, but also independent news providers, philanthropists and big tech companies, through a running programme of media and social media communications.
Benefits
We are a small and friendly team of dedicated people who work remotely with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy. We meet at least once a month in London, and can cover reasonable travel costs for employees who are based outside London to attend these meetings. We can also pay for employees to use co-working spaces in their local area if they prefer not to work from home. We are happy for employees to manage their own time, so long as they are available to take calls and meetings and respond to emails within normal office hours (9.30am-5.30pm, Monday-Friday). The Campaigns Manager will be entitled to 28 days paid leave, including bank holidays.

AAFDA is currently funded by statutory bodies, trusts and foundations, corporates, events and individuals. Under your management, you will identify, cultivate and grow these existing and new fundraising streams.As AAFDA’s Fundraising and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for oversight and growth of voluntary and statutory funding income, including from individuals (including regular and one-off gifts, major donors and legacy giving), community groups, trusts and foundations, corporates, the statutory sector (including Police and Crime Commissioners) and other benefactors.
