We are working in partnership with The Honeypot Children’s Charity, a UK charity who are looking for an experienced Head of Lottery and Statutory Grants to research, identify and deliver six figure level income through National Lottery and Statutory funders.

With headquarters in London, and three respite houses situated in the South of England, Wales and Scotland, the Honeypot continuously supports young carers aged 5 to 12 years old, who perform a surrogate adult role as a carer for a loved one, often single-handedly, and whose wellbeing is at significant risk, leading to anxiety, isolation, poor confidence, and low self-esteem.

This newly created role the Head of Lottery and Statutory Grants will lead and develop a new income stream for the Charity, researching and developing a sustainable and key pipeline of six figure income through National Lottery and Statutory funders.

The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate a proven track record of succeeding six figure level gifts, with direct experience of researching the National Lotteries and statutory landscapes to explore opportunities to develop six figure plus proposals for Statutory funders, or equivalent,
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills to inspire through compelling storytelling and deliver exceptional bid evaluation and proposal writing abilities to produce thorough and compelling grant proposals and reports that communicate aims and impact.
• Exceptional donor stewardship skills to a six-figure portfolio of statutory donors, implementing effective donor journeys and an excellent supporter experience ensuring their continued and uplifted support.
• Experience of interpreting charitable financial accounts and preparing budgets for potential funders and for grant reports.
• Have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and meticulous record keeping with strong planning, project management and time management expertise.

The Head of Policy and Public Affairs will lead and have oversight of all policy and public affairs activities; developing the function; establishing policy positions; delivering evidence-driven campaigns and effective stakeholder engagement; to secure policy change and funding to benefit people seeking advice and the communities served by members.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement effective strategies for policy and funder influence, ensuring alignment with AdviceUK's strategic objectives. Provide ongoing strategic oversight of political and sector trends to inform decision-making.
• Policy Development and Advocacy: Lead the creation and coordination of clear policy positions, identify influencing goals, and overseeing responses to government consultations. Represent AdviceUK at external events.
• Public Affairs Management: Oversee a proactive public affairs strategy, build relationships with key government contacts, manage stakeholder engagement, ensure effective public affairs leadership, and amplify influencing work.
• Campaign and Media Leadership: Oversee the development of effective campaigns, mobilising support and leveraging media opportunities to raise awareness and drive action on priority issues for AdviceUK.
• Research and Evidence: Oversee research and analysis to support policy and campaign objectives, ensuring evidence-based insights inform advocacy efforts.
• Leadership and Management: Provide effective leadership to the Policy and Public Affairs Department as well as other staff, line managing the department, ensuring strong performance and supporting learning and development.
• Funding and Financial Management: Foster funder relationships to secure income for AdviceUK, manage departmental finances, and ensure efficient programme management of grant-funded initiatives.

The Head of Policy and Public Affairs will have at least 3 years' experience of working in a similar role and experience and/or an understanding of the social welfare advice sector, the issues faced by advice providers and the communities they serve. The successful candidate will have developed and delivered impactful policy and public affairs strategies that have led to demonstrable change either directly or by working in coalitions and partnerships. You will have experience of acting as a spokesperson including to the media, at events, to select committees and other government or funder-led working groups. You will be a strategic leader with the ability to build strong working relationships and manage and motivate a team. You will have strong analytical, organisational and prioritisation skills.

This role is home-based. You will need to attend meetings and events in London as part of the role and quarterly SMT meetings and all staff meetings with some travel across the UK and overnight stays. There may be out of hours work for which TOIL is granted.

As Finance & Operations Administrator you will have a key role to play working closely with the trustees and Head of Fundraising & Communications to co-ordinate activities,  to ensure day to day operations in the UK run smoothly.  

The role as advertised covers a broad range of activities. However there will be peaks and troughs of workload. 

This job is for you if you are:

-  A qualified accountant or bookkeeper with experience of Xero ideal (training can be provided).

- Confident working with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) & Shared drive (eg, GoogleDocs).

- Comfortable working with a variety of IT packages, or learning how to do so 

- Very organised, able to take the initiative, able to work independently.

In a typical month you’ll:

-  Support the Chair of Finance; preparing monthly accounts. Processing receipts and payments for bank reconciliation; invoices and expense claims.   Filing finance documentation. Maintian the restricted v unrestricted donation records, Gift Aid schedules, HMRC returns.

-  Support  the Head of Fund Raising and Communications, liaising with donors (sending receipts, requests for information), researching potential donors, preparing grant applications, ordering brochures and marketing information. Acting as a day to day point of contact. 

- Support the Chair and Vice Chair of Trustees;  helping to prepare and distribute monthly meeting agendas, supporting papers, co-ordinating virtual meeting schedule, drafting and distributing minutes, .- 

-  Support the Chair of Governance ensuring Trustee and Staff Handbooks (policies and protocols), risk register, are uptodate and accessible via the website portal. Lead the administration process for the recruitment of trustees and staff, including the preparation of candidate packs, advertising, induction. Oversight of the EFA Partnership Agreements.

- Support the Chair of Educaton re liaison with relevant external auditors (safeguarding, health and safety, risk). Linking with Moroccan partners to agree on timing and arrangements for audit visits. Ensuring reports are available to trustees as agreed. 

- General ad hoc support to trustees, staff and external stakeholders as required.

EDUCATION FOR ALL MOROCCO transforms the lives of marginalised girls, in the High Atlas mountains, enabling them to fulfil their potential, reducing social injustice and inequalities, improving the quality of life for women, and their communities.

Prior to the Al Haouz earthquake in September 2023 EFA funded six boarding houses, enabling young women to access senior school education. Five boarding houses were destroyed. Astonishingly, no girls or staff were in them at the time.

We are unashamedly ambitious to build on EFAs transformational work over the last two decades. Our Covid Recovery Strategy focussed on widening our impact, and the earthquake has just made us even more determined to deliver on our promise, because we have never been more relevant.

Due to the extraordinary generosity of donors, we have funding in place to support a major rebuilding programme. However we don't want to simply rebuild. Due to covid and the earthquake there is a lot of catching up to do.

As Head of Fundraising & Communications you will work with the trustees to deliver the strategic vision, by developing and implementing a  successful fundraising and communications strategy.  A new website is under construction and the successful applicant will play a leading role in determining its fundraising functionality, content, and messaging.

The role

As Community Fundraiser you will manage and develop myaware’s community events and support in aid of fundraisers. You will create and manage corporate and community partnerships, alongside community volunteers, to achieve maximum fundraising income for myaware, working to agreed budget and plans, and assisting with budget and strategy creation when required.  There will be a requirement to manage records and relationships through the CRM system in line with GDPR.

The Community Fundraiser will be home based within the UK and will work in co-operation with all myaware colleagues to deliver agreed fundraising and awareness campaigns.  There may be the need to occasionally work during weekends and evenings and therefore there is a need to work flexibly when required. All evening and weekend work is agreed in advance. The role is part time, 2.5 days a week, we are open to discussion regarding the days to be worked. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use is desirable but not essential.

Who are we?

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors. 

Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our specialist benefits and welfare advisor.

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. The Role

Previous experience in fundraising is desirable however, we are also keen to speak with people who have transferable skills including meeting financial targets, working proactively, independently and flexibly. We exist to be a catalyst for the success of Cambridge and quality of life across the city region. Our 50 members include major higher education institutions and some of the area’s largest employers, representing a workforce of over 40,000 in the Cambridge city region. We work alongside our members on a range of issues related to making the Cambridge city region economy more inclusive through our Skills Group, with the aim of widening access to the educational and employment opportunities available in the area. This includes working with employers who conduct educational outreach, provide learning materials to schools and offer work placements to local young people.

Action for M.E. is the only charity in the UK providing direct support including healthcare services to children and adults with M.E. We provide vital support services, campaign for change and invest in ground-breaking research to help improve lives now, while taking action for the future. It’s an exciting time to join as we are halfway through delivering our ambitious five-year strategy. 

This post will play a crucial part in helping the charity to end the ignorance, injustice and neglect experienced by people with M.E., as you will be supporting our fundraisers to maximise income generation and raise awareness. The Role

Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in collaborating across teams to support finance and grantmaking. They are responsible for the smooth running of all transactional processes for grants, payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting. They will also lead on any applicable system enhancements thus offering a critical and wide-ranging systems support role for the grantmaking charity. They will ensure that financial transactions are properly allocated, recorded, and maintained and assist in the preparation of audit data as well as supporting project reporting to aid in the preparation of the annual statutory audit and project reports.

As part of the finance and operations team, they will join a growing team currently staffed by four members in the UK. In the present accountability structures, the Finance and Grants Officer, GGF UK is line managed by the Director of Finance and Operations, GGF UK while building and working in more collaborative ways.

The Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, social justice, feminist, gender, human rights, and/or grantmaking organisation. They demonstrate knowledge and experience in charity/nonprofit grant accounting/financial issues and dealing with both financial and grant information and processes, understand accounting principles, and have knowledge of accounting, grantmaking, and budgeting processes. They have cash management, banking, and payment experiences. They demonstrate excellent administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to ensure the accuracy of work and demonstrate precise attention to detail. They will have the skills to give, receive, and work with feedback constructively. They also thrive in a virtual environment, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions. Multiple language skills would be ideal, while English fluency is a must.

We are looking for a Content Coordinator to join our small but dynamic communications team.

As CLAPA’s Content Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for publishing a steady stream of stories, blogs and other engaging content on our website and other platforms.

The UK cleft community is full of fantastic stories waiting to be told, and you’ll be there to sensitively support people of all backgrounds to share these stories with your insightful questions and top-notch editing abilities. You’ll be comfortable talking to everyone from school-age children to NHS cleft surgeons to get the kind of content that will inspire and engage our community.

You’ll be our go-to writer when a new resource needs to be drafted or edited, and you’ll enjoy the challenge of adapting your writing to different briefs and communicating complex ideas to people of all ages and abilities. This is a brand new role to meet rising demand within the team, so you will have a real opportunity to make the role ‘yours’. You’ll have the freedom to try new things, share ideas, learn from feedback, and work with others to solve problems.
