Richmond Borough Mind is a vibrant local charity that has been supporting and providing services for adults affected by mental health problems and their carers for over 60 years. 

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Adults Peer Support Worker to join our busy Peer Support team. You will have your own lived experience of mental health issues and be able to use this experience as well as your professional skills and knowledge to support others.

RB Mind has run effective peer-led services for many years. The role will be supported by RB Mind Senior Peer Support Workers, and the Peer Support Coordinator in South West London St George’s Mental Health Trust (SWLStG). Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training and clinical supervision.

With the expansion of our work in this area we aim to reduce waiting times, reduce the number of people going into crisis, address inequalities and support transitions from youth to adult services. We offer holistic and personalised care and support to service users.

The role has its own caseload and provides a range of support and person-centred interventions to meet these needs, which could include group support, one-to-one interventions and signposting where specialist advice is needed.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about motivating and coaching individuals with mental health issues, and able to support people on their journey to recovery. A little bit about the role

As a member of the Admissions & support team, you will be supporting the recruitment and development of new social workers, who will then go onto change the lives of vulnerable children and families. You will play a key role in supporting the completion of all suitability checks (conduct, health and previous social care involvement) for Approach Social Work applicants, managing competing deadlines and multiple applicant cases at any one time.

The role requires a qualified social worker with experience of statutory practice and ideally substantial working knowledge of implementing reasonable adjustments in practice. The role involves primarily risk assessment to inform often difficult discussions around health, conduct and social care experience for applicants to Approach Social Work. Experience of taking part in panels, navigating sensitive discussion around criminal, conduct, previous social care involvement would be required.

Our suitability advisors are social work qualified and experienced members of the team who hold a vital position in ensuring all pre-programme checks are completed fully and fairly, for applicants to Approach Social Work. Suitability advisors are responsible for completing risk assessments where for applicants who disclose criminal, conduct, previous social care matters or disabilities which may need to be considered pre-programme. We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused administrator to lead on the administration of the CLPE Learning Programme, which includes courses that take place both in person at the Centre and online as well as INSET training and consultancy delivered at other locations around the country. You will also be part of the Centre’s administration team to support the day-to-day running of the Centre and help us ensure that everyone who works in and visits our Centre is well looked after and has a fantastic experience. This will include providing reception cover, greeting visitors, answering phones, supporting tenants and event bookings, and providing general admin support to the team based at the Centre.

You will be based at our beautiful Grade 2 listed building in Southwark. Your usual working hours will be 2pm to 6pm to provide Centre admin cover during this time, but this role will also require occasional evening or weekend working to fulfil event commitments, and flexibility to provide cover for staff leave. Due to the nature of your duties, and fixed hours, this role is not suitable for flexible or home working.

Our Centre houses an amazing collection of 25,000 children’s books as well as being a training and event centre for teachers, publishers and everyone else who works with children’s literature and cares about children’s literacy. 

This is an extremely interesting and varied job. As well as working closely with our teaching team, responding to enquiries and bookings, and arranging logistics for courses and events taking place at the Centre, you might also be supporting our librarian with a book launch, welcoming our trustees to a meeting, or looking after a famous children’s author.

• Providing the first point of contact for all enquiries relating to courses, webinars, CPD or other events, by email and phone, as well as responding to general enquiries

• Coordinating all booking information for courses, INSET training and consultancy

• Updating webpages for courses and events 

• Managing all event logistics, including joining details, invoicing, gathering feedback and on-the-day support / room set-up / catering

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Duty Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to be the first point of contact for women who are impacted by domestic violence. You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support to survivors all risk levels and their children..

In this role you will be part of a busy team. You will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre. The duty IGVA will be responding to daily enquiries (specify from whom- public, agencies, individuals? over the phone and email as well as contacting survivors, assessing their risks and needs.

The duty IGVA will be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs and will ensure an effective handover to the over to the relevant GAIA team for ongoing support. The post holder will also empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. You will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

In this role, you’ll support volunteers with tools, training, and guidance to raise funds and grow local engagement - making it possible for more young people to access a life-changing UWC education.

You’ll be part of a supportive international team, working closely with colleagues in Education and Finance to administer fundraising and grants systems, manage donation flows, and contribute to the team’s monitoring and evaluation efforts. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual with strong project coordination skills to support the delivery of a high-profile clinical audit programme commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP).

You will take ownership of day-to-day project coordination for assigned projects, including monitoring progress against timelines and deliverables. You’re comfortable acting as secretary or deputy to committees or working parties.

You will work closely with the project’s Clinical Leads, Data and Methodology teams, and national stakeholders including NHS trusts, royal colleges, and patient representatives.

You have a strong attention to detail and can effectively manage multiple workstreams at the same time.

You also have experience in helpdesk support and managing inboxes for assigned research projects. You will have strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders. About the Role

This role coordinates the activities within the RCoA Centre for Research and Improvement (RCoA CR&I), providing project coordination support to the RCoA’s research projects.

This role will support a national clinical audit, part of the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP), commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) and funded by NHS England. This is a multidisciplinary clinical audit, and the post holder will be expected to work closely with Centre for Perioperative Care (CPOC).

The RCoA CR&I is the national centre of excellence for health services research in anaesthesia and associated specialties. Its purpose is to define, evaluate and improve quality in anaesthesia, perioperative care and pain management.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintain, update and implement assigned project plans and timetables, regularly updating line management with progress and slippages.
• Provide day-to-day project coordination for assigned projects, including system support for data collection platforms.
• Act as secretary, or deputy, to assigned RCoA committees or working parties.

Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL) are recruiting for an Expert by Experience Coordinator to join our supportive and growing team. The Expert by Experience Coordinator is a new role in our small dynamic charity. The postholder will work to ensure the voices and perspectives of individuals with lived experience of asylum and forced migration are integrated into the design and delivery of AFRIL services and policy work. This role involves facilitating communication, promoting co-production, and empowering individuals to share their expertise to improve services and guide policy priorities. 

The post involves coordinating our monthly Members Forum, and working with the core team to feed this into policy and service development, alongside thematic and sometimes practical support to our Allotment Steering Group, Rainbow Club Youth Council and Asylum Hotel Residents Forum. The postholder will develop the AFRIL ambassadors scheme, creating opportunities for former clients to continue to be involved in shaping AFRIL, and work with the Director to develop a governance level co-production structure as agreed with the Board of Trustees. 

We are looking for a good people person, able to engage and inspire others, who demonstrates a collaborative approach to working with a range of stakeholders and in particular AFRIL clients who come from a variety of backgrounds. The postholder will be highly organised, have good project planning and execution skills, and a good working knowledge of the issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. Community language skills are an asset.

Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL) is a registered charity that supports asylum seekers, refugees, and vulnerable migrants in South East London. We support people to lift themselves out of poverty, assert their rights and rebuild their lives in the heart of our community. • Destitution Support - a fortnightly Food Bank in partnership with St Peter’s Church providing food, food vouchers, toiletries, and other essentials, alongside a warm hub with free cafe, information and support. Small grants for essential items and cash payments for food in emergencies. Securing and distributing gifts in kind, e.g. winter coats, laptops and data. 

• Allotment of Refuge - a welcoming community of food growers that supports improved health, wellbeing and integration of members, whilst protecting the local environment. 

• Immigration Project in partnership with Southwark Law Centre, providing free legal advice and representation to support people to regularise their immigration status.
