About the role
As Finance Officer, you will contribute to effective financial management and accounting for the Bangladesh Country Office, ensuring compliance with local regulations and Sightsavers’ policies. You will manage accurate bookkeeping, budgeting, reporting, and forecasting, while supporting partner organisations with financial oversight and capacity building. The role also involves preparing donor reports, monitoring project expenditure, and maintaining strong financial controls to support organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cash flow forecasts, monthly fund requests, and ensure timely uploads to accounting systems such as SUN/UniFi.
- Process approved expenditures with correct coding, maintain systematic financial records, and ensure compliance with organisational and donor requirements.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations, collect statements, and maintain accurate cash and bank records.
- Manage payroll and employee benefits, ensuring timely payments and proper bookkeeping.
- Support partners with budgeting, reforecasting, and preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Review and approve fund requests, monitor partner budgets, and conduct variance analysis to identify and address discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing annual country and project budgets, reforecasts, and draft financial statements for audits and donor reporting.
- Maintain fixed asset registers, conduct physical verification, and ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and income tax return submissions.
- Conduct financial monitoring visits to partner organisations, provide feedback, and support capacity building in financial processes and compliance.
- Prepare consolidated financial reports for donor requirements, ensuring deadlines are met and data integrity maintained.
- Ensure systematic maintenance of hard and soft financial files and records, including staff provident fund documentation and investments.
- Support overall financial control of the country office, ensuring adherence to organisational policies, legal frameworks, and donor guidelines.

Jobholder Requirements
Essential
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Management, Business Administration) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Experience working in NGOs/INGOs with responsibility for financial management.
- Experience managing donor funds and project accounting, including partner financial oversight.
- Strong knowledge of accounting processes and data management.
- Understanding of tax and VAT regulations in Bangladesh.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Strong communication skills in English and Bangla.
Desirable
- Familiarity with organisational procedures, donor compliance, and financial frameworks.
- Knowledge of NGOAB requirements and government compliance.
- Experience in financial monitoring and capacity building for partners.

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.
Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.

- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

About the role
As Business Development Lead, you will drive the growth and diversification of the Human Leadership Academy's charitable income. You'll lead the business development strategy, identify and cultivate new funding opportunities, and build strong partnerships that enhance HLA's financial sustainability and long-term impact. Working closely with colleagues across the HLA and wider organisation, you will be instrumental in positioning the HLA as a leading force for locally led humanitarian leadership development.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee and shape the HLA's business development pipeline, ensuring a balanced mix of funding that supports strategic and programmatic objectives.
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities across institutional, philanthropic, and corporate markets.
- Build, manage and cultivate relationships with donors, funders and strategic partners across the humanitarian and development ecosystem.
- Coordinate the end-to-end business development process—from opportunity identification to proposal development and smooth handover into delivery.
- Work collaboratively with teams across SCUK and the international movement, ensuring strong internal alignment and representation of HLA in external forums.
- Ensure compliance with internal fundraising processes, maintaining accurate, donor-compliant and audit-ready information throughout the project cycle.
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Significant experience in institutional and/or philanthropic fundraising, with a proven track record of generating substantial income.
- Strong ability to build partnerships and develop compelling, fundable proposals with clear budgets and value propositions.
- Excellent account management skills with partners and donors across diverse sectors, including governments, institutions, private foundations and corporates such as the Clinton Foundation, Google, AWS, and ECHO, with particular experience in working with FCDO and other institutional donors.
- A solid understanding of the humanitarian system, including funding landscapes, trends, and opportunities.
- Experience managing complex bids and partnerships ideally in excess of £1 million or more.
- Resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt and maintain performance under pressure.
- The ability to work proactively, flexibly, and collaboratively in an emergent, people-centred, and agile environment.

ROLE SUMMARY
The Mentoring Coordinator will contribute to upReach's mission, by helping to manage the day to day running of our professional mentoring programmes (Professional Mentoring and Ask an Expert). Professional Mentoring sees students on the upReach programme matched with a professional for a six month period, while Ask an Expert allows students to directly contact professionals for one-off conversations.
GRADUATE SCHEME SUMMARY
The Mentoring Coordinator role is part of upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP). The FCLP provides you with a unique opportunity to:

Work directly on the upReach mentoring programmes, supporting young people and professionals to form successful mentoring relationships (4 days per week), while also;
-
Gaining exposure to various aspects of charity management through 6-month rotations (1 day per week).

Receiving training in Leadership throughout, and have the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in Leadership and Management after 18 months on the programme (in place of rotations).
The FCLP is designed either for high-calibre graduates from any university, academic subject and background - or for those with experience in the corporate world who are looking for a career change and experience in the charity sector.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mentoring Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that upReach’s mentoring programmes (Professional Mentoring/Ask an Expert) operate smoothly and effectively, and will report to the Volunteering Programme Manager. You will work alongside the Programmes and Partnerships teams to ensure that matches are successful, and that both mentors and mentees have a positive experience of mentoring at upReach.
1) Supporting the smooth running of mentoring programmes:

Deliver day to day operational tasks, including making mentor and mentee matches and responding to professional/student queries received via the Mentoring inbox and the mentoring platform;

Act as the primary point of contact for mentors/professional volunteers and students using the upReach mentoring platforms, and take action to resolve any issues raised;

Proactively monitor the success of all mentoring relationships/interactions using mentoring platform data, identifying any concerns and taking action to resolve them;
-
Develop and deliver training sessions and resources with the support of the Volunteering Programme Manager to ensure that mentors, professionals and mentees have a high-quality experience.
2) Supporting Partnerships and Programmes teams:

Work with the Programmes team to encourage Associates to register for and participate in the mentoring programmes;

Work in collaboration with the Programmes and Partnerships teams to help ensure that all mentoring outputs are delivered effectively and on time, and support them with reporting back to partners;
-
Act as the point of contact for employer partners whose primary activity is mentoring, and provide updates on impact measurement for these partners.
3) Rotations in different areas of charity management

As part of the FCLP programme, work on rotational projects designed to give you a greater exposure and understanding of the different areas of charity management;

You will have a six month rotation in each of the following areas during your first 18 months on the programme: (1) Fundraising, Partnerships and Comms, (2) Operations and Strategy (3) Project and Product Management;

Each week you will work on projects related to your current rotation (7.5 hours per week). These projects will be agreed with your Rotation Manager, in line with the learning objectives for each rotation.
