This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, successful and growing fundraising team, part of the wider High Value Partnerships team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the other members of the team to steward their donor relationships and bring in significant gifts to help fund the work of the RSPB.  The role primarily focusses on delivering administrative, financial and events processes and requires someone with excellent attention to detail and experience of Microsoft Office applications, a CRM system and financial management tools.

About the Role

The Philanthropy Team works with individuals who make significant gifts of money, land and shares to the RSPB and who need bespoke and one-to-one management.

The key responsibilities of this role are: -

• Donation and gift management - ensuring all gifts are processed and recorded so they can be acknowledged in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Financial coding and reporting - including coding and allocation of gifts, and monthly & annual reconciliation and income reporting.
• Event planning and logisitics - working closely with other team members to deliver high quality events and meetings for donors and prospects.
• CRM management and development - managing and updating the current CRM system (Salesforce) for the team (including training) and ensuring it is functioning as required by working closely with the CRM Manager.
• Donor stewardship support - maintaining contact information and databases in an accurate and GDPR compliant way and assisting with the team’s donor stewardship programme and funding appeals (spreadsheets, mailings etc).
• Internal liaison - fostering good relations and cooperation with High Value Partnerships colleagues and other teams.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Ability to demonstrate the competencies required to undertake the duties associated with this level of post having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills in a similar role.
• Good understanding of data protection and ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• Detailed knowledge of and proficiency in the Microsoft suite and using a CRM system.
• Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing to ensure effective reporting and customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills, both internal and external.
• Ability to manage and schedule your time and be ready to respond to incoming requirements and new circumstances as they arise.
• Initiative and judgement to resolve problems independently.
• Experience of managing and reporting financial information.
• Ability to take meeting notes and minutes clearly and concisely.
• Be able to visit our UKHQ in Sandy, Bedfordshire once a week.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

The successful candidate can work from home, however will be required to travel to our UK headquarters in Sandy, Bedfordshire, at least once per week.

Overview

The DfE has nominated CST as the employer representative for academy trusts for specific purposes (for example, the school support staff negotiating body).  The postholder will be required to work directly with the Department for Education at a senior level to undertake the duties associated with this employer representative role.  CST also wishes to strengthen its support to members on wider matters of employer policy. There is significant scope to shape and develop this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Have a detailed understanding of the terms and conditions of employment of teaching and support staff and the workforce issues affecting the education sector, particularly those influencing recruitment and retention of staff.

• The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders (members, senior DfE officials and ministers) and work closely with other employer representative organisations.

• Working closely with the CEO and Deputy CEO, build relationships at senior level with trade unions (leadership, teacher and support staff unions).

• Lead on developing CST’s employer policy and guidance, working with our members and commanding their support and respect, and working closely with the policy team.

• Support the Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Public Affairs and Policy to influence and respond to government policy in respect of employer policy, including drafting responses to government consultations and being our representative on the DfE’s formally constituted groups.

• Provide professional support and guidance to members on matters relating to employer policy, within the restrictions of what we are insured to do as a professional body.

• Support our HR professional community.

• Speak with authority at events and conferences as CST’s nominated representative on employer policy.

• Offer support to the wider CST policy team in other areas that fall within the postholder’s experience or expertise. This may include occasionally deputising for other team members for example covering for annual leave or sickness absence.

• Any other duties and responsibilities that may be delegated by the Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive or Director of Public Affairs and Policy from time to time.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Likely educated to degree level (or holding a similar professional qualification or experience) with significant knowledge and experience of employment matters within the education sector and employer policy.

• The ideal candidate will have experience working at senior level likely within an educational, policy or consultancy setting. Knowledge of schools and the trust sector is essential as is the ability to respond to issues in a way which conveys the practical realities of working in schools.

• A sound understanding of the differences between academy trusts and the maintained sector.

• Secure knowledge of legislation, regulations and policy that affect school trusts.

• Authority and gravitas with the ability to speak up at meetings with senior officials with the required diplomacy and at all times with the members’ interests in mind.

• People-centred, with excellent relational skills, adept at forming and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, members and senior external stakeholders (including policy makers, employer representative organisations and trade unions).

• Output focused, able to execute a range of communications across channels efficiently.

• Fluent and precise, an excellent communicator who writes well.

• The ability to analyse detail and distil key points, identifying matters of concern or interest to school trusts.

The Opportunity

The Director role is a new opportunity working across ImpactEd Evaluation. Our partnerships encompass education organisations such as charities, edtech organisations and government, and schools and multi-academy Trusts. As a Director, you will be a senior leader of the evaluation practice and a statutory director on our Practice Board. The Role

The Commercial Operations Manager plays a crucial role in driving financial sustainability by generating income and managing commercial activities through venue hire, event planning, merchandise sales and securing strategic long-term partnerships, enhancing existing revenue streams, and identifying new opportunities.

The position will ensure the charity maximises its commercial potential while staying true to its mission and values.

About you

We are looking for someone who has at least 3 years' experience in an income generation role, including venue hire and event management, ideally in a charity setting. 

You will be organised and planful in your work with the ability to project manage activities with strong budget management skills.  You’ll have the ability to communicate well and work with a variety of individuals and will be able to negotiate and influence well.  You need to be comfortable working independently and able to manage multiple different projects at pace.

The Programme Manager role

Due to the continued expansion and sustainability of our programmes, we are seeking a new team member to support our next period of growth into the 2025-2026 academic year.

You will be a consumate account manager to support our skills and employability programmes designed in partnership with industry. You will work collaboratively with our corporate and industry partners to support teachers and students in schools and further education institutions access a range of TTF educational programmes.

The ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity is seeking a strategic, emotionally intelligent CEO to lead us into our next phase of growth. Following a period of change, we're looking for someone who can stabilise and strengthen our team, champion neurodiversity, and ensure our long-term sustainability.

You’ll bring proven experience of senior leadership—ideally in the charity or public sector—a solid understanding of governance, financial oversight, and a passion for transforming lives. They work to support all aspects of student life for the 19,000 plus students studying at the University. Located in a friendly city, with a proud industrial and educational heritage, they are an ambitious and diverse organisation, committed to supporting every student at the University in achieving personal success.
 
They support students through a variety of services including academic representation, campaigns on issues that matter to them, advice and wellbeing services and supporting student communities. They also host a number of events throughout the year and operate a café and two bars on campus.
 
About the role
 
As CEO, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the strategic future of their organisation. You’ll work closely with the Board of Trustees and student officers to translate strategy into action and ensure they remain responsive to the evolving needs of students.
 
They're looking for a collaborative and inclusive leader who can build strong partnerships within the SU, across the University, and with external stakeholders. You’ll bring a proven track record of strategic leadership, financial oversight, and organisational development, ideally within a values-led or membership-based environment.
 
You’ll also lead a talented staff team, foster a high-performing, inclusive culture, and identify new opportunities to diversify their income and extend our impact. Importantly, you’ll be a visible and supportive presence for their officers and staff, helping them to lead with confidence and drive meaningful change.
 
The successful candidate won’t necessarily need to come from the Higher Education sector, but you must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the trends and issues that affect our students and sector. You’ll have a good understanding of charity governance, financial management and organisational development.
