We are looking for a thoughtful, relational and data savvy Individual Giving and Philanthropy Lead to strengthen and grow our community of supporters. This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraiser who wants to take ownership of a key income stream, shape strategy and bring creativity and care to supporter relationships.

This is a hands-on and strategic role that blends relationship building, storytelling, data management and fundraising techniques. You’ll work closely with the CEO, trustees, the corporate partnerships lead and our communications lead to develop a supporter care programme that reflects our values, grows engagement and ultimately increases income. You will also begin to develop our major donor strategy, with support from senior leaders and existing networks. Due to funding for this post, you will split your time between raising funds for Pecan’s Southwark Foodbank, as well as Pecan’s other programmes and community services, and you will liaise closely with colleagues across both these areas.

You will need to be confident in working independently, but you will be backed by a supportive and engaged senior team who understand the importance of fundraising and want you to succeed.

Main Responsibilities:
Working with the CEO, trustees corporate partnerships and communications team, your main responsibilities will be:

• Individual Giving and Donors: develop, manage, monitor and improve the individual giving fundraising portfolio - with the initial aim of generating in excess of £250,000 per annum from individual giving. 
• Relationships with local churches and their congregations: work with the trustees and senior leadership team to deepen our relationships with out (cross denominational) member churches and to build links with additional churches in and near the area and local umbrella Christian organisations. 
• Relationships with local institutions: work with other local institutions such as schools and business to find individual donors who will financially support Pecan's work. .
• Fundraising Appeals: coordinate fundraising appeals including the Pecan and Foodbank Christmas fundraising campaign, Big Give Campaigns, and other appeals across all income and media streams.
• Fundraising Systems and Processes: Oversee our fundraising systems and processes using our new CRM (Beacon) to ensure data is accurate, GDPR compliant, segmented and usable for effective analysis, reporting and engagement. 

Key Requirements (specific skills, qualifications required):

• Proven experience in individual giving fundraising, including appeals and donor journeys.
• Experience managing and stewarding a portfolio of regular and one-off donors.
• Experience of using and maintaing a fundraising CRM (e.g. Beacon, Raiser's Edge, Donorfy, Salesforce), including data segmentation and analysis.
• Experience writing compelling donor communications (letters, emails, thankyous, updates). 

Desirable knowledge/expertise

• Exposure to, or experience with, major donor fundraising (e.g. researching prospects, supporting cultivation or stewardship).
• Understanding of Pecan's values and how they shape organisational culture.
• Knowledge of Peckham and the London Borough of Southwark.
• Member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising or similar professional body.

This is an exciting new role to grow our individual giving programme, leading a plan to raise more income by finding new supporters and retaining the ones we already have. You’ll have the opportunity to develop new ways of fundraising and see what works best for our future.
 
You will be joining a supportive and ambitious Fundraising department as we embark on a new fundraising strategy (2025-2029), with a renewed focus on growing our supporter numbers alongside growing our income, so we can increase our impact for people with cystic fibrosis.
 
In this role, you will:

• Develop an Individual Giving strategy including short, medium and long-term acquisition and retention plans
• Set and review budgets and KPIs, tracking how well fundraising activities are doing and ensuring we are getting a good return on investment
• Use data and insight to make decisions and improve campaign outcomes
• Ensure all supporters get a warm welcome and have a good experience of the Trust
• Manage the Individual Giving team, providing line management, support and development 
• Collaborate with colleagues across the charity to help establish a Supporter Experience group focused on making sure our supporters feel thanked, inspired and proud of the difference they’re making

 
We’re looking for someone who can think strategically and is results and supporter-focused, with great leadership and relationship building skills. You will enjoy using ideas and data to help raise more money in effective and creative ways.
 
This role can be based at home or at the London office. If you are office-based, you would be expected to attend the office at least two days per week.
 
We will provide you with either London Weighting or a home allowance to support costs of travelling to work or working from home, a laptop, mobile phone and any other essential equipment needed for your role.

Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby (GBWR) is the national governing body for the game of wheelchair rugby in England, Scotland, and Wales, is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, and is a full member of World Wheelchair Rugby (WWR) and of the British Paralympic Association (BPA).  

In the last ten years, GBWR has grown the paralympic discipline of the sport from a domestic league with a single division comprised of seven teams, to one which now has three leagues providing competition opportunities for 22 teams. The domestic league is internationally recognised for its high level of competition, where it regularly sees international players from Europe joining domestic teams and strengthening the level of competition.

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and driven Head of Community and Participation to lead the development and implementation of strategies aimed at significantly increasing participation in wheelchair rugby across Great Britain. This pivotal role will be responsible for designing and delivering impactful community outreach programs, engaging with local clubs and organisations, and developing innovative approaches to reach new participants, particularly those that are classifiable for wheelchair rugby (Paralympic discipline).

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in community development, sports development, and marketing, with a strong understanding of how to build sustainable participation pathways. While experience within disability sports is advantageous, it is not essential for an individual with the right blend of skills and passion.

The Grants Officer will support the Senior Manager to develop and implement monitoring and reporting
processes across the Foundation’s grant-giving activities. To be successful in the role, you must have
excellent knowledge of results-based monitoring and reporting, demonstrate strong organisational and
administrative skills, and ideally have experience working with colleagues from different cultural
backgrounds.

The initial focus of the role will be monitoring and reporting in relation to the implementation of a Big 6
EU funded programme, the Youth Empowerment Fund (YEF). This programme focuses on supporting
youth-led initiatives, giving young people the means to be effective agents of change. The YEF is global
in its reach but will focus on supporting local solutions and grassroots initiatives that young people
develop on the ground. The Officer will play a key role in supporting the Senior Manager to maintain and
grow Big 6 advocacy and partnerships for the short and long-term. This role will also work closely with
colleagues from the Operations and Finance team to ensure accurate information is delivered to key
stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities 

Youth Empowerment Fund (60%):

• Support the monitoring and reporting of the EU funded YEF programme. Including coordinationwithin the IAF and with the Big 6 designated leads.
• Communicating with and activating networks of national organizations to participate in the YEF,including sharing opportunities to take part in Big 6 advocacy activities and applying for youthled solutions open-call Local Solutions grants.
• Issuing of grants to successful national organizations and monitoring and evaluation, including regular reporting on outcomes and impact of national projects to the YEF project team.
• Sharing success stories from the YEF to support the Big 6 communication, storytelling and creative reporting efforts.

Other Grant based support (40%):

• Oversee grant-giving financial processes, creating and issuing of grant payments.
• Support the Senior Operations Manager with the reporting of grant activities for Senior Management and various stakeholders.
• Support the ongoing development of other Foundation grant reporting efforts as required.
• Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required for the successful delivery of the Foundation’s business objectives.

Our multi-disciplinary team is dedicated to reducing the harms associated with rough sleeping, fostering inclusion, and empowering individuals to move towards stability and independent living.

We see relationships as the key tool for change. The Community team build relationships of trust and solidarity that will help people to access our comprehensive professional support network, including NHS health services, DWP benefits advisors, migration specialists, and drug and alcohol support teams – all offering their services inside The Community.

Together we are piloting a psychologically-informed, trauma-responsive model with an embedded specialist NHS psychology team. This means you’ll receive high-quality training, 1:1 consultations, and reflective practice to enhance your skills, and to support you and your team to pioneer best practice in homelessness services.

You will be managing a multi-disciplinary team that is dynamic, creative and focused on building trust through relationships. Supporting the team to identify, engage and provide harm minimisation whilst promoting a sense of belonging. Providing rapid interventions for new people who may not need the service, alongside offering sustained support for the people who need it most.

You will have substantial experience in delivering psychologically, gender and culturally informed service to people who are experiencing street homelessness.  You will be both strengths-based and solution-focused, maximising and developing partnerships internally and externally to enhance service provision.  You will be both strength-based and solution-focused, developing and enhancing the service with a commitment to embed coproduction
