Salary: £23,940p.a. pro-rata (£39,900p.a. FTE)

Keep Britain Tidy is the nation’s favourite environmental charity, campaigning on a range of environmental issues, effecting change at both a local and national levels. 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager with experience of community engagement and grassroots change to deliver our exciting new behaviour change programme in Torquay. Supported by a wider programme team, but responsible for this project on the ground, the Project Manager will marry our organisational expertise with a passion for environmental change. They will be responsible for setting up, implementing, and reporting on a set of behaviour change campaigns and interventions. 

The ideal candidate will be a natural networker, adept at building relationships within the local community, connecting people and creating opportunities, and have heaps of initiative and a passion for engaging people to work together to improve local spaces.

This is an exciting role within a fast-paced charity. You will have a proven track record in project management and managing a range of stakeholders with varying expectations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in evaluating projects and continually making improvements based on learnings.

The Role

• To develop a culture of support within the organisation. To lift others up and to give voice, agency and equity to all. Contribute to the Development Team, taking the lead on cross-organisational activities.
• Collaborate with the CEO to support/enable them to develop engagement with HFHGB.  Represent HFHGB externally at a senior level, building the organisational profile.

Skills and competencies:

• Extensive knowledge of trusts, foundations and high net worth individual fundraising best practice.
• Proven experience of raising 6 and 7 figure gifts from Trusts, Foundations and High Net Worth Individuals.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic plans for high value donors/ trusts and foundations.
• A strong track record of overseeing prospect research, pipeline development and delivering growth.
• Extensive experience of producing high quality and compelling donor facing proposals, reports and other materials.

The Othona Community (charity number 1154204) seeks a Core Member, Office and Communications to be part of the resident core community at its West Dorset Centre.

Through sharing in a daily rhythm of work, learning, worship, and play, we seek personal renewal and glimpses of the sacred. Core Member, Office and Communications

Your working week will encompass a range of core tasks that are often shared amongst community members. You will be expected (after an initial learning and induction period) to host and facilitate events, lead chapel gatherings, take a turn cooking, cleaning and helping around the house and gardens. If you have particular practical skills in these areas that would be an advantage. On occasion you will need to cover for colleagues in their absence. These shared tasks apply to all established members of our core community and we work very much as a team to plan our work and develop our offer to our visitors

As Core Community Member with lead responsibility for office work and digital communication at Othona you’ll be representing the ethos and values of Othona to all who contact the Centre, offering a friendly and helpful response and working to increase our online presence and thus our reach.

You will need to be a good administrator, and enjoy planning and organising the office tasks including responding to enquiries, taking bookings, maintaining good records and other aspects of office work.

You will have good digital skills and be at ease in using social media and other online communication. You will become the key person in rationalising and improving our office IT and in exploring effective new marketing opportunities. Your work, within an overall communications policy agreed with the warden as your line manager, will help us to attract a wider demographic to attend and enjoy what Othona offers.

But just as important, you need the personal qualities to interact sensitively with our visitors and other contacts, to be well organised without being inflexible, to cope calmly in changing circumstances and work cheerfully in a small team. So spiritual and emotional intelligence and an interest in people will need to underpin your technical skills.

You will need to live on-site where the available accommodation is a self-contained flat. A job-share with someone who shares your accommodation could be feasible. Please let us know if you have this in mind so that we can discuss the practicalities.  

The salary offered is £9,918.38, with full board and lodging, pension provision, utility bills and council tax paid by Othona, this equates to a much higher figure in real terms and is in accordance with relevant provisions within the National Minimum Wage Act. You can expect two days off a week (on a variable rota) and 28 days annual leave allowance.

Timeline

Rock UK Head Office Team

Hours: 25 -30 hours per week (working pattern ideally 5-6 hours per day, Monday to Friday although negotiable)

Salary: £38,030 pro rata per annum plus pension (8% employer contributions)

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to provide high quality management and control of the finance function at our multi-site Christian outdoor adventure charity. Reporting to the Finance Director, the post holder will work closely with members of the senior management team to facilitate the smooth operation of Rock UK’s finances. He or she will be able to clearly and respectively communicate our Christian ethos, objectives, mission and vision to staff, suppliers and other stakeholders of all faiths and none.

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level or equivalent, hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), have proficiency in using computerised financial systems, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.

Location: This is a remote UK-based role with regular travel to CST’s national and regional events, mainly in Birmingham and London. Candidates within reasonable travel distance to these locations are preferred.

Salary: £41,603 - £45,470 a year.

Pension: We offer a workplace pension and life assurance scheme. CST makes contributions equivalent to 10% of your gross salary.

Annual leave: Initially 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with an additional two days leave after three years’ service.

Working hours: Full-time 37.5 hours.

The Professional Communities Manager leads the development, content curation, and operational delivery of CST’s 11 Professional Communities. These networks, events, and forums are a core benefit of CST membership and are provided free of charge to members.

This is a proactive, member-focused role that blends operational excellence with strategic content oversight. The postholder will work directly with community chairs, subject experts, community supporters, CST platinum partners and members to ensure that all communities are vibrant, professionally hosted, and deliver high-quality, relevant content.

The role also plays a key part in ensuring a joined-up approach to content across CST’s full range of activities, working closely with the professional learning and conference teams and partnerships to ensure alignment and maximise value for members.

Key responsibilities

 Strategic Development and Continuous Improvement

• Develop and implement strategic plans to strengthen the value, engagement, and content of CST Professional Communities.
• Set clear objectives and KPIs to monitor success and drive continuous improvement of community services.
• Regularly evaluate community activity, identifying ways to increase engagement, relevance, and impact for members.

Community Content Curation and Management

• Oversee the quality, consistency, and relevance of content across all 11 Professional Communities, ensuring alignment with member priorities and organisational objectives.
• Work in partnership with community chairs, subject experts, community supporters and CST’s platinum partnerships to proactively commission, curate, and quality-assure community content (e.g., webinars, blogs, resources, discussions).
• Work closely with the professional learning and conference teams to ensure a joined-up, coherent approach to content across CST activity, avoiding duplication and enhancing overall member value.
• Identify content gaps and work creatively, including drawing upon resources and contacts within the policy and partnership team to address them, ensuring a balanced and evolving programme across the communities.

Community Engagement and Facilitation

• Lead and facilitate virtual and in-person community events, ensuring professional delivery and high-quality member interaction.
• Support and brief speakers, chairs, and contributors to ensure a consistently excellent experience for members.
• Actively promote member engagement through community platforms and other channels, driving participation and interaction.

 Stakeholder Relationships

• Build and maintain strong relationships with CST members, community chairs, speakers, and supporters.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues across membership, communications, professional learning, policy, and conference teams to maximise the impact of community activities.
• Manage relationships with sponsors where appropriate, ensuring alignment with CST values.

Digital Platform and Event Management

• Oversee the effective use of digital and platforms (including CiviCRM and Hivebrite,) to host communities, deliver events, and share content.
• Manage operational aspects of events and online communities, ensuring smooth logistics and excellent user experience.

Data, Insight, and Reporting

• Monitor and report on community engagement, content performance, and member feedback, using data to guide improvements.
• Lead the ongoing development of data processes for the communities, ensuring accurate insights are captured and shared.

Team Leadership and Development

• Manage, develop, and support the Professional Communities Coordinator, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Encourage learning and development across the team to ensure consistently excellent member service.

Adaptability and Wider Contribution

• Contribute to broader membership engagement strategies and initiatives.
• Undertake any other duties as required by the Director of Membership to support CST’s mission

The role

Effective financial management is central to our strategy and operating model. The Finance Manager will be crucial in determining how we manage our finances, resources and operations whilst embedding a culture of financial efficiency and effective controls.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Finance will lead on financial matters and be expected to provide critical financial information, insightful analysis and timely reporting to facilitate the growth of the Charity.

The role is standalone but working within a closeknit team. It with therefore have a degree of autonomy but will be expected to contribute to the wider development of the Charity. This is a pivotal appointment within the Charity and will provide some broad exposure to the Board and Investment Committee.

We are therefore seeking a dynamic qualified accountant who has had wide exposure to financial reporting and processes, preferably within a fundraising Charity. Being a financial ‘all rounder’, there is a real opportunity to contribute to the way the Charity operates by instilling sound financial operations and providing meaningful financial reporting. The role provides an opportunity to lead the finance function and will suit a progressive accountant looking for this kind of responsibility.
