Job Description

Key responsibilities:

1. Events Marketing

• To oversee the scheduling, production and distribution of promotional e-mails for our events. Liaise with comms team to promote events across AvMA media platform To work on the development of the events pages on the new AvMA web site. Ensuring event web pages are kept up-to-date. To carry out data analysis and web analytics to determine what people are responding to and to highlight the areas we may need to focus/re-focus.

Events Logistics & Management

• In conjunction with the Head of Events, to undertake the production and organisation of events, including inviting and liaising with speakers and arranging event logistics. Effective liaison with speakers, ensuring they have all the information required to participate in the event and providing deadlines for receiving their presentation and biography. To work on site at events as required and run smaller events on your own. Duties will involve setting-up and administering registration, liaising with the venue, greeting speakers and exhibitors, dealing with enquiries from delegates and making sure the event runs smoothly. Production of the online conference documentation, to include speaker presentations.

Research & Event Development

• Help identify and research potential subject areas on which we may want to run events. Keep a close eye on the medico-legal events sector market and other events taking place. Help identify potential new sponsors and exhibitors for our events.

Events CRM

• Develop a sound understanding of AvMA’s new CRM, ensuring we optimise it for the efficient and effective marketing of events.
• To assist if/as required with bookings and booking queries for AvMA’s events.

Other

• To support the Events Department’s quality initiatives and to suggest continuing improvements where needs arise.
• To undertake other duties commensurate with the post as may be required.
• Deputise for the Head of Events when necessary 

Person Specification

Essential:

The Role
We are seeking an experienced fundraising professional to join us as Head of Fundraising. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our fundraising strategy across community, events and volunteering, trusts and grants, corporate and philanthropy by crafting ambitious regional plans, nurturing high-performing teams, and driving excellence in supporter engagement and recognition. The Head of Fundraising will work collaboratively with the Individual Giving and Engagement team to drive new business pipelining and amplify fundraising campaigns, develop new fundraising products, and represent SCAA at external events and sector initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced team leader with significant experience working across a variety of fundraising disciplines and of developing and implementing fundraising strategies.

The successful candidate can be based from home, but this role will require regular travel to our bases at Perth and Aberdeen Airports and throughout Scotland. The usual hours and days of work will be Monday to Friday, 9am—5pm.

About You

Essential

• Strong background in a variety of fundraising disciplines and a track record in growing fundraising income over multiple years within a charity, non-profit or values-led organisation.

• Experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies aligned to organisational objectives.

The Role

The service aims to identify and provide key worker support to meet the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway. Providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

The Stroke Support Coordinator will:

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Provide personalised information, advice and support.
• Support stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.

Who we are

Every year, thousands of people in the UK face court alone. Often through no choice of their own, people must represent themselves at a moment that could have life-changing outcomes. This includes loss of access to children or homelessness. At the same time, people facing court alone may find themselves up against a party with legal representation. They are instantly at a disadvantage and overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenges they are up against. We supported unrepresented litigants in the civil and family courts in England and Wales over 45,000 times last year.

We provide a safe space with volunteers who listen to each client’s individual story. We’re looking for a Training Project Lead to join our team on a 4-month contract. You’ll be leading on a project to improve our volunteer training programme, with a focus on supporting survivors of domestic abuse and incorporating a trauma-informed approach throughout the training package. 

The role

The Training Project Lead will be based in the service department, and you’ll be supported by the Head of Service Delivery. 

We’re open to applications from training professionals who are able to work remotely, and undertake some travel to our offices across England and Wales.

As one of the founding funders of A Bed Every Night, we have been at the forefront of efforts to reduce rough sleeping in the city region. The funds we have raised have gone to frontline services offering a warm welcome, hot food, safe shelter and wrap-around support to help move people into more stable accommodation. However, our support for the homelessness ecosystem extends beyond A Bed Every Night, as we also provide funding for initiatives, organisations and projects that can help stop homelessness before it becomes a reality, and ensure it is only ever rare, brief and non-recurrent.

Working with businesses, people and communities across Greater Manchester, we raise funds to deliver grants across three priority areas:

As UK-Med continues to grow and expand its global humanitarian response, we are strengthening our financial delivery in the field to ensure it remains robust, compliant, and responsive in complex and fast-paced environments. In this context, the Roving Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in leading financial management across our emergency responses through direct deployment.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of international deployments, ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting, and compliance with donor and organisational requirements in-country. Acting as the lead finance focal point within responses, you will work closely with Team Leads and field teams to support decision-making and ensure resources are managed effectively in high-pressure environments.

Alongside operational financial management, you will ensure that financial processes, systems, and controls are implemented and maintained in-country, strengthening compliance and accountability across responses. You will support field teams through training and guidance, ensuring that financial procedures are understood and consistently applied in challenging contexts.

This role will work closely with the Head of Finance (International), Operations, HR, and programme teams, acting as the key link between HQ and field finance. When not on deployment, you will contribute to supporting ongoing responses and strengthening financial processes across UK-Med’s international operations.

We are seeking a Health and Science Information Manager to lead the development of highquality health information and research communications for people affected by polycystic kidney disease (PKD). This is an exciting opportunity to shape how individuals access, understand and engage with trusted information throughout their journey, from diagnosis and day-to-day management, to the latest scientific and clinical research developments. In this role, you will oversee our extensive portfolio of patient information resources, ensuring all content is accurate, accessible, evidence-based and aligned with the PIF TICK quality standard. You will identify opportunities to create new and engaging resources that meet the evolving needs of the PKD community, using innovative approaches to improve how information is delivered across multiple channels. A key part of the role will be translating complex scientific and medical research into clear, compelling and patient-friendly content. You will help increase awareness of clinical research opportunities, communicate emerging developments in PKD science, and support greater understanding of how research can shape future treatments and care. We are looking for someone with strong strategic thinking, excellent editorial judgement, and the ability to communicate complex health and scientific information with clarity and empathy. This role would suit someone passionate about improving lives through trusted health information while helping connect people to the future of PKD research. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Health information management and quality:

• Support the development and management of the PKD Charity’s health information portfolio across digital and print platforms

• Ensure all content meets PIF TICK standards, including robust processes for development, review, updating and governance

• Maintain oversight of the full information catalogue, ensuring content is accurate, consistent and aligned with current clinical guidance

• Work with clinicians, researchers, and people with lived experience to co-produce and review content Content development and user need

Content development and user need:

• Identify gaps in current provision and lead the development of new information resources

• Ensure content is clear, accessible, inclusive, and tailored to the needs of different audiences

• Use patient insight, feedback and data to continuously improve the quality and usability of information Innovation in information deliver.

Research and science communication:

• Explore new ways of delivering information beyond written formats (e.g. video, audio, webinars, digital tools)

• Improve how information is presented and accessed across the website and other platforms

• Stay up to date with best practice in health information and digital engagement Research and science communication
