About the role

Each of the Support Network Coordinators have the responsibility for delivering, maintaining, and expanding the support services available to spinal cord injured (SCI) people and their region of the UK.

The post coordinates two vital parallel strands:

1. In your region, to reach and support newly and long-term spinal cord injured people and their families developing a strong partnership with all available specialist services, charity and business partners; managing a dedicated team of volunteers as well as providing direct support to SCI people with more complex support needs.
2. Nationally, working to facilitate the link between SCI people and SIA and the network of services; referring SCI people and their families to our clinical / health expert support teams and advocacy services; working with the Digital Engagement team to build on-line links to regional partners in your area; supporting fundraising, campaigns and communications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Building strong relationships – you’ll be talking to everyone from people with SCI and their families, to healthcare professionals, solicitors and partners who deliver key services.

The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the national charity for people affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom. 

We are looking for a Digital Communications Coordinator to cover maternity leave and to support our busy Communications team.

The Digital Communications Coordinator is a key role within CLAPA, responsible for implementing our digital communications strategy to engage and inspire the UK cleft community. This role moves beyond content creation to take ownership of CLAPA’s digital communications across social and email platforms, ensuring online communications are strategic and data-driven. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, this role supports the planning, delivery, and monitoring of campaigns that inform, support, and connect the cleft community in the UK. 

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a good understanding of digital communications and a passion for community engagement. The Senior Bid and Funding Officer is a new role for Involve as we seek to build the infrastructure to support the growth that we have experienced in recent years.  This role will sit within our Finance & Support Services function and will work alongside colleagues at all levels in the Innovation & Practice, Capacity Building & Standards and Advocacy & Communications functions to identify and provide compelling proposals in response to fundraising and tender opportunities. 

As Senior Bid and Funding Officer you will be responsible for identifying fundraising opportunities to bring forwards to the team for evaluation and coordinating the submission of returns ensuring high quality tenders are produced that meet the needs of funders and commissioners.  You will support function leads in monitoring fundraising outcomes and comparing to income generation targets, developing a database of funders and improving tender response processes to reduce the administrative burden of tender responses without compromising on quality.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of managing the tender return process in other organisations, either in a commercial or charitable sector environment. Position Overview: 

At CPI we believe people are at the heart of our success. We are seeking a Grants Officer (Associate)   based in Europe to join our CPI Europe (CPIE) team. Your role is  critical  in ensuring the smooth delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This role is responsible for the effective administration of grants including ongoing due diligence and accurate record keeping, contributing to assessing proposals and organisations, stewarding and maintaining effective relationships with grantees and wider partners,  and ensuring compliance, timely reporting and payments. About the role:

The role is home working, however the team collectively cover England and Wales, so the ability to travel with occasional overnight stays is vital.

As a Peer Support Volunteer Manager you will be:

• Responsible for development and management of a cohort of lived experience volunteers
• Triaging and Risk Assessing clients as they are referred into the service
• Facilitating Peer Support groups, both online and face-to-face

About the role

We’re looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator (known internally as People Development Coordinator) with either experience in learning and development and/or a strong interest in building a career in the field to join our People Development Team

You’ll support the team in the coordination of internal and externally commissioned learning and development activities, working closely within the team, your departmental colleagues, and internal subject experts on a wide range of subjects and topics that are core areas for our workforce. You will maintain and continually improve our course evaluation, record keeping, and administrative processes, and bring new ideas and solutions to improve efficiency and measure impact. Provide advocacy and active case support remotely and in person to clients in England and Wales, and their representatives throughout the appeal and complaint processes, and occassionally assessments. This will include periodic travel to assessments and appeal meetings across England and Wales (including overnight stays where necessary), as well as attending virtual meetings via videoconference.Please note: most meetings are now completed virtually via videoconference, however a small number of in-person meetings are still taking place. Applicants will need to be comfortable working from home for long periods as well as with periodic long-distance travel.
4. To keep informed of issues, policies, guidance and legislation affecting clients ensuring that the information provided is relevant, current, complete and accurate.
5. To analytically examine all relevant health and social care records and assessments, and to prepare detailed advisory letters and appeal statements based upon a sound understanding of the facts, and referencing evidence compiled from such records.
6. To assist clients in the preparation of submissions which will be presented on their behalf to relevant Integrated Care Boards and NHS England review and/or appeal panels.

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum pro rata

Reports to: Proposition Manager

Location: Home-based anywhere in the UK (quarterly travel will be required to London, as well as events all across the UK through out the year)

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Sports Executive. This is a unique opportunity to support a varied portfolio of high-value sporting events for Cancer Research UK including events such as the London Marathon, Great North Run, RideLondon-Essex 100 and Action Challenge Ultra Series. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver events which will not only be remembered by the participants and supporters but will also raise millions of pounds to fund our lifesaving research.

This is an exciting role with varied responsibilities which will help to develop and shape their careers. There is an expectation of some evening and weekend work to support our fantastic events all over the UK, but you will be eligible for time off in lieu.

What will I be doing?

• Working with the Sports Manager, account managing and developing various high-value relationships with 3rd party event partners across the portfolio 

• Work with the sports marketing team to inform the development of the Sports Team PR and social marketing plan with particular focus on our key events

• Proposing stretching sponsorship income and recruitment targets 

• Responsible for creating and managing Sports Team web pages and social media pages and producing innovative and bespoke content that is user friendly across all devices and briefing in social priorities

• Working in collaborate with our Event Delivery Team to support the planning and delivery of "On the day experiences", working with our operation teams and 3rd party event organisers to coordinate this.

• Managing annual cycle of each event within portfolio including managing the online registration platforms, updating event pages, opening/closing events and supporting on-the-day activities at events

• Through sector networking & tracking, establishing a solid understanding of our competitors and regularly conducting analysis that can be used to benefit the Sports Team as a whole

• Develop internal relationships with multiple teams across Cancer Research UK to maximise our internal Sports Team brand

• Play a key part in our Cancer Research UK on the day team for a number of Sports events (on weekends) nationally - such as the London Marathon, the Great North Run and other mass participantion events.

What skills are we looking for?

• Experience managing relationships with external stakeholders and influencing them in order to advance individual or organisational goals

• Ability to manage challenging stakeholders effectively

• Experience of managing website content and using CRM systems

• Experience of developing and delivering new business opportunities

• Good strategic thinking skills 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience working with IT databases

• Good analytical and reporting skills 

• Proven ability to manage own time effectively and can work well under pressure

• Proven ability of agreeing and meeting financial targets 

• Willing to work some unsociable hours, travelling extensively and staying away from home during the event delivery season when necessary.
