The Role: Services Manager

As Services Manager at Addiction Family Support, you will coordinate the development and delivery of our core services – ensuring they run smoothly, meet high standards, and continue to evolve in response to the needs of the people we support.

You’ll line-manage our team of part-time Family Support Workers and work closely with staff and volunteers across our helpline, one-to-one and group services, and training provision. We are looking for an experienced People Business Partner to support the delivery of our People & Culture strategy and help embed People and Culture best practices across the organisation. 

Acting as an account manager, you will work closely with key stakeholders to build deep understanding and trusted partnerships, while championing a purpose-driven, inclusive, and forward-thinking People agenda. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Build effective relationships with senior leaders in client areas and lead on the development of People plans bringing contemporary People practice and expertise

The National Year of Reading 2026 is a national campaign which will address the steep decline in reading amongst children, young people and adults.

Core responsibilities within your role will be to:

• Manage planning and delivery of campaign and communications activity in line with National Year of Reading strategy

• Develop and deliver a strategy for engagement of high-profile celebrity ambassadors
• Work alongside the National Year of Reading team to manage and brief creative

and communications agencies

• Alongside the media and communications team, develop and manage relationships with media contacts, including acting as the first port of call for

incoming media enquiries, out-of-hours media response and cultivating longer term relationships with journalists, both in the education sector and beyond

• Alongside the media and communications team manage interview requests including fielding and briefing appropriate spokespeople
• Plan, create and write multi-media communications materials, including news stories, social media content, and reports for multi-channels use
• Develop key messages and evidence-based rationale, and test with target audiences
• Ensure consistent, ongoing evaluation of campaign reach and impact, and updates for stakeholder groups.

• Monitor and moderate contributions to National Year of Reading website using the content management system
• Proofread and edit content as required

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

• Significant experience of planning and delivering high-profile and large-scale media and PR activity
• Experience of national campaigning including developing engaging campaign

messaging and using a range of channels to reach target audiences

• Knowledge of effective evaluation of marketing and communications campaigns
• Experience of building partnerships with a range of stakeholders across the public, private and charity sectors
• Expertise in writing for different audiences in different contexts
• Excellent working knowledge of digital platforms

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated fundraiser to join our successful team as we embark on a major capital campaign (NHM150) to raise £150m to transform our South Kensington site ahead of our 150th anniversary. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this role will be responsible for personally securing high six- and seven-figure gift from Trusts and Foundations.

The Senior Philanthropy Manager will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and the rest of the Philanthropy team, feeding into the overall strategy for the team. They will manage a portfolio of funder accounts which deliver long-term, high-value strategic partnerships as well as building new relationships.

The post will also manage a team of 3 – 2x Philanthropy Manager and 1 Philanthropy Executive.

The Philanthropy team has seen significant investment and there will be substantial opportunities for professional development within a world-leading cultural organisation.

About you

The role requires excellent fundraising skills, with experience in raising and managing high six- and seven-figure gifts. Candidates will need excellent communication and written experience to develop high quality applications, proposals and reports - ensuring the highest standard of cultivation and stewardship. Additionally, candidates will ensure they can work within the direct team, wider Development team and full organisation, while managing their own team to successfully achieve targets.

The Role: Operations Manager

As Operations Manager at Addiction Family Support, you’ll play a key role in keeping the charity running smoothly day to day. You’ll support our small, dedicated team by coordinating systems, processes, and technology that enable us to deliver our services effectively and professionally.

You’ll work closely with staff and volunteers across our Helpline, one-to-one and group services, and training provision. This is a flexible, part-time role (with potential to grow) for someone who thrives on organisation, problem-solving, and supporting others to do their best work.

Your responsibilities will span CRM and digital tools, data reporting, onboarding, and operational improvements – all with the aim of helping us support more people affected or bereaved by a loved one’s harmful use of alcohol, drugs, or gambling.

This is a remote role with quarterly team meetings in London. You’ll need to be confident working independently, while also contributing actively to our collaborative team culture and wider organisational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain our CRM (Bitrix24), including client and volunteer pathways, automations, forms, SPA and task management.

• Train and support staff and volunteers to use key systems:

  • Bitrix24 (CRM).

  • VCC by Call Handling (Helpline telephone app).
