Centrepoint Church is a vibrant, multi-generational Christian community based in Bathgate, Scotland (with a second congregation in Edinburgh). As we grow beyond 200 in attendance and embark on a major facility renovation at our Bathgate site, we are seeking a high-capacity Operations Director to strengthen our operational foundation. This part-time role functions as a non-pastoral “chief operating officer” for the church, translating vision into action through people, resources, and systems. In this hands-on position, you will serve as the operational glue of the church – ensuring administrative systems run seamlessly, information flows to the right people, and nothing falls through the cracks – so that our pastors are freed to focus on preaching, discipleship, and care. It’s an exciting opportunity to provide servant-hearted leadership through administration, undergirding the church with excellent stewardship, compliance, and execution so that our gospel mission can flourish unhindered.

Key Responsibilities

• Senior Pastor Support & Workload Protection: A core mandate of this role is protecting the Senior Pastor’s time. Proactively intercept and reassign operational tasks before they land on the Senior Pastor’s desk, implementing clear intake/triage processes and calendar guardrails from day one so his time is freed for preaching, visionary leadership, and leadership development.
• Governance, Compliance & Policy: Serve as a key liaison to the Board of Trustees, providing regular operational and financial reports. Ensure the church operates in full compliance with charity law and all regulatory requirements (safeguarding/PVG, health & safety, GDPR, etc.). Own the policy lifecycle – keeping policies up to date, maintaining a live risk register, and scheduling regular policy reviews and staff training.
• Finance & Stewardship: Lead the church’s financial administration and controls – driving the budgeting process, managing expenditures/approvals, and maintaining cash-flow oversight. Work closely with the Treasurer to produce timely financial reports for the Senior Pastor and trustees. Ensure audit readiness and implement any audit recommendations, exercising cost-effective stewardship of contracts and resources.
• Sundays & Events Logistics: Oversee operational support for Sunday services and occasional special events to ensure they run smoothly (covering venue setup, tech/AV, volunteer rotas, etc.). Primarily coordinate Sunday logistics through preparation and team leadership during the week – this role does not require being on-site every Sunday (Sunday on-site involvement is only occasional, as needed for major events or troubleshooting).
• Facilities & Projects: Manage the church’s facilities to ensure our buildings and venues are safe, ready, and welcoming each week. Lead facilities projects and capital works – including serving as the point person for the Bathgate site renovation – by coordinating contractors/architects and minimising disruption to church life.
• HR Oversight & People Systems: Oversee the HR function through the HR Manager to ensure that recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and staff development are carried out effectively and in line with employment law and best practice. Keep the staff handbook and HR policies current (e.g. employment legislation, safeguarding/PVG, GDPR), maintain an annual HR calendar for policy updates and trainings, and report regularly to trustees on HR matters.
• Operational Systems & Technology: Continuously improve and oversee the church’s administrative systems and technology. Implement best-practice workflows, databases, and communication tools to enhance efficiency. Lead the adoption and effective use of digital platforms (including church management software like ChurchSuite, project management apps, etc.) so that information flows reliably, tasks are tracked, and nothing falls through the cracks. Act as a liaison to our communications and tech teams to ensure technology supports ministry needs (while not being the content creator).
• Team Leadership: Lead, line-manage, and develop the church’s admin and operations team (staff and key volunteers). This includes direct oversight of team members such as the HR Manager, Church Administrator, Bookkeeper, Building Manager, and Health & Safety Officer. Provide regular one-to-one meetings, feedback and performance reviews, setting clear objectives and offering coaching. Foster a collaborative, servant-hearted team culture where people are supported yet held accountable, and ensure strong communication across all ministries.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a committed Christian with a strong, mature faith and a lifestyle of integrity and prayer (this role carries a genuine occupational requirement for Christian faith). Fully embraces Centrepoint’s values and mission.
• Is (or is willing to become) a participating member of Centrepoint, aligning with our doctrinal convictions – including our complementarian practice in pastoral leadership.
• Has proven experience in operations/administration leadership, ideally 3+ years in a church, charity, or organisational context. (You have a track record of leading teams or projects effectively and improving systems or processes in a workplace or ministry setting.)
• Demonstrates exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, able to juggle multiple priorities within a part-time schedule and keep details from falling through the cracks. You thrive in bringing order and efficiency to complex environments.
• Is an excellent communicator and team leader, comfortable working with both staff and volunteers. Able to convey information clearly across all levels (from trustees to church members) and build positive relationships through approachable, servant-hearted leadership.
• Has solid financial and administrative acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, read financial reports, and uphold good governance practices. Detail-oriented and aware of key compliance areas (health & safety, safeguarding/PVG, GDPR, employment law) – ensuring the church operates safely and legally.
• Is tech-savvy and adaptable, quick to learn new software and systems (familiarity with tools like ChurchSuite, Planning Center or similar is a plus). Proactive in finding solutions, and calm under pressure with a “can-do” attitude to tackle unforeseen challenges.
• Models servant leadership, leading by example with humility, reliability, and a passion for excellence in support of the church’s mission. Highly relational and approachable, able to inspire trust and teamwork in others as you implement change.

Terms: This position is part-time (30 hours per week, 4 days) based in Bathgate, with involvement at our Edinburgh site as needed. Salary is £33,000–£36,000 per annum (full-time equivalent), pro-rated to 4 days (approximately £26,600–£28,800 actual). The start date is 24 November 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK (we are not able to sponsor visas). Centrepoint offers employer pension contributions, statutory holiday and sick leave (pro rata), and a flexible working environment. Work days can be arranged flexibly (with some remote work possible) aside from key meetings or on-site needs.

Sunday or evening work is not regularly required; however, occasional presence on a Sunday or at special events may be needed for critical operational support. When such hours are worked, they count toward the weekly 30 hours and time off in lieu (TOIL) will be provided. Please note: there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post-holder to be an active Christian, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9).

 Key Responsibilities

1) New Business & Pipeline

• Build and manage a tiered prospect pipeline (e.g., Disney, Imperial College London, L’Oréal; innovation district and borough anchor institutions).

• Lead outreach, discovery, and tailored proposals for £10k–£50k+ partnerships (CIC/CSR/ESG, sponsorship, skills/volunteering, payroll giving, in-kind, cause-related marketing).

• Co-create compelling value propositions and packages (local stories + measurable outcomes + staff engagement).

• Use the consultancy budget strategically (e.g., research, copy/design, senior introductions) to accelerate conversion. 

2) Account Management & Stewardship

• Provide excellent partner experience and stewardship plans; agree on KPIs/MOUs and deliverables; renew and grow multi-year partnerships.

• Design staff engagement that goes beyond volunteering: insight sessions, youth-led events, site visits, mentoring, pro-bono sprints.

• Work with Impact to evidence results (dashboards, case studies, SROI), and with Comms on brand-aligned content and events.

3) Strategy, Governance & Reporting

• Own the corporate income plan aligned to our Revenue Growth Strategy (with realistic quarterly milestones and early-warning triggers).

• Track pipeline and income on the CRM; produce quarterly RAG dashboards for the Task Force/Board.

• Uphold ethical screening and brand alignment; ensure legal/compliance and safeguarding standards are met. 

4) Internal & External Collaboration

• Partner with Partnerships & Grants to align offers and avoid duplication (trusts/consortia insight sharing).

• Leverage the CEO and trustees for warm introductions; brief and support them for pitches/cultivation.

• Champion youth voice and member benefits in every partnership.

As Global Projects Support Officer, you’ll play a central role in delivering our Global Engagement Strategy, which builds international partnerships, develops Creative Hubs in priority regions, and ensures our work reflects UAL’s values of creativity, inclusivity and sustainability.

Your focus will be on keeping projects running smoothly and ensuring their impact is clearly demonstrated. From preparing documentation and briefing papers to coordinating meetings, events and delegations, you’ll manage the details that make international projects successful. You’ll also produce reports that capture outcomes, track progress and highlight the wider impact of UAL’s global engagement. Alongside the practicalities of delivery, you’ll contribute ideas, raise awareness of our international activities across the University, and help shape how UAL builds lasting global connections.

About you

You’re already experienced in supporting projects, ideally with an international or higher education dimension. You enjoy keeping projects on track, thrive on variety, and have the confidence to manage competing priorities calmly and effectively.

You’re a natural communicator who can quickly build trust with colleagues and partners, adapting your style to different cultures and contexts. You’re just as comfortable producing clear reports and documentation as you are coordinating events or ensuring senior colleagues are well prepared for important meetings.

Educated to degree level, you will be comfortable using Office 365 and digital systems, and capable of producing clear, accurate reports. Above all, you’re proactive, collaborative and motivated by the opportunity to make a difference, helping UAL strengthen its international partnerships and deliver projects that have real impact.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting learners with self-care and independence skills such as eating, drinking, washing, bathing, using the toilet, managing incontinence, dressing, mobility, and medication administration.

• At the start of each shift, reviewing communication and log books, and liaising with staff at handover to ensure learners' needs are well documented and addressed.
   
• Establish supportive relationships with learners and encourage the development of stable relationships.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Domestic Abuse Community Outreach Worker to provide  high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in Derby City.

The Community Outreach worker will provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse in accordance with Refuge’s philosophical principles. The post holder will inform the survivor on the options and support available, empowering the survivor to make decisions and achieve their goals to increase their safety, confidence and independence. The role involves working with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies to advocate on behalf of survivors and promote access to services to meet their needs. The outreach worker will work within Derby City.

What is the overall purpose of the role?

We are looking to appoint a Support Youth Worker to help develop and deliver an innovative and progressive youth programme for our Girls Project, in a safe industrious and supportive environment working primarily with young girls from diverse communities.

The Girls only group (targeting ages 11-19 years) will promote life skills, well-being and female empowerment. Helping girls move forward through the next stage of their lives to become the women who will shape their community in the future. The Girls group will support, provide advice, mentoring and signposting to additional support services.

Responsibilities:

• Support with the research, planning and delivery of an innovative and progressive programme of youth activities in collaboration with young people and the lead worker.
• Carry out financial and administrative procedures related to the Girls Project.
• Support the promotion of the Girls Project including collating and creating content to be used for online and offline marketing and advertising (hard copy, posters, social media posts etc).
• Record all attendances (registers) for all sessions and populate data required for reporting purposes in a timely manner.
• Coordinate, deliver, host or co-host and oversee the delivery of Girls Project sessions (one-to-ones or groups), trips and residential, that take place on-site and off-site, face to face or online.
• Liaise and supervise with facilitators or external providers directly concerning the delivery of the Girls Project i.e including agreements, risk assessments, SLA’s and Code of Conduct.
• Ensure that children and young people are involved in contributing to the development of the Girls Project via consultations and evaluations.
• Recruit young people through networking and promoting to external organisations and agencies, and beyond.
• Manage referrals to and from the project.
• Assist in recruiting external facilitators required for the delivery of the Girls Project.
• maximise the opportunities for the project.
• Keep an eye out for potential funding opportunities to expand the project scope further
• Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by YAA

Knowledge & Experience

The Support Youth Worker will bring:

• Similar experience in a Youth Worker/Support Worker role
• Level 2 or above Youth Work Qualified (desirable)
• Experience in the charity sector, the voluntary sector, or the community sector would be desirable.
• Experience working with vulnerable children, young people and adults (up to 24 years)
• Experience creating and delivering activities within a youth base/support setting using creative ways to consistently engage and motivate young people positively
• Competent in the use of MS Office and the ability to use databases for recording and reporting.
• Strong planning, time management and organisational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team as well as working independently
• Confident speaker and presenter
• Flexibility in working hours
