At Jessie May, we provide specialist nursing care, at home, for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. We support parents, siblings and wider family members in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, and Wiltshire.

Through life and death, bereavement, and grief, we are here for families for as long as they need us - support for weeks, months, and years.

With us, seriously ill children can still be children, and their families can make memories to look back on when they need them most.

Our families let Jessie May into their homes, both physically and emotionally, offering expert care and much-needed space for parents and carers to rest, and recharge.

Purpose of Post

The Community Fundraiser will lead on efforts to develop and grow community fundraising initiatives and engage with schools, community groups, faith groups, and individuals.

You will help deliver key community events and campaigns, manage volunteers, cultivate long-term relationships, and secure vital support to fund Jessie May’s work.

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual with experience of community fundraising to deliver agreed income targets and deliver long term sustainability within community fundraising.

Main Responsibilities

Community Fundraising and Engagement

• Coordinate the delivery of community fundraising campaigns, initiatives, and events, ensuring high levels of participation and engagement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, schools, faith groups, and individuals, encouraging their ongoing involvement and support
• Act as the main point of contact for community fundraisers, providing guidance, support, and resources to help them succeed in their fundraising efforts
• Develop and implement an events calendar of activity to include UK and overseas activities, Jessie May organised events, own place events and purchased places.

Volunteer Fundraising Support

• Recruit, train, and support a network of volunteer fundraisers to support community fundraising activities.

Relationship Management and Stewardship

• Lead on the development and delivery of stewardship plans for community supporters, ensuring their efforts are recognised and celebrated.
• Maintain accurate records of community supporters and events in the CRM system, tracking engagement and financial contributions.

Terms & Conditions and Employee Benefits

Conditions, including but not limited to the following:

• Checks: The appointment is subject to satisfactory references, DBS check and a probationary period of six months. 
• Salary:  £28,840 - £32,917 per annum, pro-rata depending on experience. Salaries are reviewed annually, at the discretion of the Trustees, where the budget allows, with any increases effective from April. 
• Pension: There is a group personal pension scheme that you are entitled to participate in, subject to the rules of the scheme.  You will be automatically enrolled into the scheme, however there is the option to opt out.  The employer’s contribution is 5 per cent while the employee’s contribution is 4 per cent of the pensionable salary. 
• Death in Service Provision (once successfully passed probation)
• Work base: Jessie May office and throughout the Jessie May service area.
• Holiday entitlement: Annual leave is 27 days pro rate, plus bank holidays.  Some annual leave is pre-allocated to cover some of the time between Christmas and New Year when the office is closed. This amount increases with service.

About the role

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to help deliver SSAFA volunteer support to the serving community.

You will work closely with the Serving Community Manager to develop SSAFA’s support to the serving community through its volunteer delivered Serving Community Teams and the Community Volunteering Service.

Your role will be to ensure a safe and quality service is delivered by volunteers, and support them from the recruitment and induction stage through to becoming a fully trained volunteer.

We are looking for a highly organised individual to deliver volunteering support to the serving community. You will have a good understanding of the unique issues that the serving Armed Forces community may experience, and knowledge and experience of the charitable sector.

You will have experience of managing volunteers, have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish working relationships quickly.

As a proactive and motivated individual, you will have good project management skills in order to prioritise your time, and plan and deliver an exciting new services to the serving community.

Founded in the aftermath of the Second World War, Cumberland Lodge works with young people to understand the causes and impacts of social conflict and division, developing the next generation of leaders to create more just and inclusive futures. As we approach our 80th anniversary we have ambitious plans to scale up our activities and are looking for an experienced Fundraising Officer with strong storytelling skills and a passion for making a difference.

This is a permanent part-time role, two days a week. The successful candidate will join a thriving organisation as part of a small Programme team under the leadership of the Programme Director.

We are seeking to appoint a strong team player who can also work independently, who is well-organised, with excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Job description

The Programme Fundraising Officer will craft compelling proposals, develop new income opportunities, and align funder interests with Cumberland Lodge’s goals to enable impactful work with young people and the creation of more just and inclusive societies.

Main Duties:

Funding Development

Research and identify funding opportunities aligned with Cumberland Lodge programmes.

· Write compelling, youth and/or education focused funding applications and proposals.

· Track and manage applications, deadlines, budgets and outcomes.

Relationship Management

· Build and maintain strong relationships with funders.

· Provide timely updates, reports, and impact stories.

· Represent Cumberland Lodge at meetings, events, and networking opportunities.

 Strategy & Performance

· Contribute to Cumberland Lodge fundraising strategy and income targets.

· Collaborate with the Programme Director to monitor fundraising performance.

· Produce data-driven reports on donor engagement and fund-raising effectiveness for the

Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees.

· Maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant donor records.

Internal Collaboration

· Work with programme and communications teams to gather data and case studies when required for reporting to Senior Management Team, Trustees, and to develop the annual Impact Report.

· Support the Leadership Team with strategic funding advice.

General

· Participate in relevant training and development identified in conjunction with Line

Manager.

· To attend and participate in weekly team meetings.

· Promote in a positive way the work of Cumberland Lodge.

Person specification

You will be able to demonstrate the following criteria:

Essential Criteria:

· A track record of securing five-figure grants or more from trusts, foundations and other donors;

· Knowledge of the fundraising landscape in the UK;

· Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, for a range of audiences, including creative storytelling and project framing;

· Ability to analyse and synthesise research and data into compelling reports and funding applications;

· Ability to develop full cost recovery budgets and carry out all compliant financial reporting;

· Ability to carry out all grant management reporting accurately and in a timely manner, with knowledge of GDPR-compliant data management;

· Ability to work independently, being proactive, organised and results-driven, while maintaining an ethos of collaboration and teamwork;

· Excellent time-keeping and ability to meet deadlines;

· Experience using a range of IT packages and platforms.

Desirable Criteria:

· Experience working with young people, youth organisations or in the education sector;

· Knowledge of the fundraising landscape internationally;

· Experience using social media for marketing and communication.

Further information

Hours: 14 hours per week (through an annualised hours working pattern).

Location: Remote working although the successful candidate will be expected to work from Cumberland Lodge a minimum of one day per month.  Applicants should be aware that Cumberland Lodge is not easily accessible by public transport, so alternative forms of transport (bicycle, car) are helpful.

Annual leave: 33 days including Bank Holidays which will be pro-rata. The charity is closed over the Christmas period which will be deducted from the leave allocation.

Pension: Standard Life contributory pension (up to 10% contributions to support 5% personal contributions, with the option to increase personal contributions over and above 5%).

- Lead on the ongoing development, maintenance, and promotion of the engaging and innovative Riverwoods Digital Centre of Excellence, built using ArcGIS Hub Premium.

About the Role

We are excited to be expanding our community approach for care experienced children and young people at Become. We have created this new post and are looking for a creative, welcoming coordinator to help us grow and meet the needs of our community. The postholder will coordinate the welcome experience, the community space, and the communications with the group. As such you will need to have an eye for detail to make sure that we’re engaging a diverse group across all areas of England, be a great communicator across individual, small group and entire community communications, and be able to deliver on small projects working across Become’s teams. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable weather and climate scientist to join us at The Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS) as the Science Engagement Officer.

This is an exciting career opportunity for an individual who is keen to use their skills and knowledge to make a positive impact and advance the understanding of weather and climate in society through informal education. In this role, you will provide scientific support across science engagement project development, delivery and wider RMetS team operations. Reporting to the Head of Publishing and Scientific Engagement, you will have responsibility for developing training materials and co-delivering sessions for our climate change communication training, and you will deliver RMetS early career initiatives such as our career events. You will also create engaging content for various RMetS activities and stakeholders, and work with the media to enhance public awareness of weather and climate.

What you will do in the role:

• Develop training materials and co-deliver sessions for our RMetS training programme, including climate change communication training.
• Deliver youth and early career activities including events, training, the RMetS mentoring scheme, publishing and membership initiatives.
• Support RMetS career activities, producing career guidance, booklets and running workshops.
• Work alongside the RMetS Membership and Accreditation Manager to develop and maintain the Student Ambassador Scheme.
• Generate content across RMetS activities including scientific publishing, events, Society websites, special projects and COP/IPCC initiatives. 
• Support the Society’s membership publication in the development of Society focused content and other content relevant to our membership.
• Support increasing opportunities for engagement with the media, deliver regular interviews, and work on activities to improve the communication of academic research into mainstream media.
• Design and deliver public engagement activities, e.g. Weather Photographer of the Year touring exhibition, citizen science projects, and outreach training.
• Work with the RMetS Science Engagement Fellows on Insurance Special Interest Group and Energy Special Interest Group sector-specific projects and their associated outputs.

Essential criteria you will need to demonstrate:

• A background in weather and climate, either through: a degree in a scientific field relevant to weather and climate; OR a Master’s degree within a scientific field relevant to weather and climate, with a minimum of three subsequent years working in industry.
• Extensive knowledge across weather and climate, and evidence of involvement in activities to ensure ongoing current knowledge across diverse areas.
• Experience in communicating scientific concepts and information to a different range of stakeholders (for example policy makers, the wider scientific and social science community, or the general public).
• A friendly and open-minded approach, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a small team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to prepare documentation for outside stakeholders and willing to communicate with the media.
• A people person who has the confidence to proactively reach out to and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills including the ability to manage time effectively, balance multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to think creatively, be innovative and embrace new ideas and ways of working.

BUBIC (Bringing Unity Back Into the Community) is an award winning, peer-led substance misuse service supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency. Our mission is to empower people through community engagement, harm reduction strategies, and accessible support services. We work directly with vulnerable individuals, helping them break cycles of addiction and social exclusion.

Our team plays a crucial role in engaging with people who may not access traditional services, offering immediate support and practical solutions to improve their well-being. Our team, many with lived experience, offers non-judgmental support, outreach, and education to help people on their journey to recovery. 

Main Purpose of the Role:

To lead the effective and high-quality delivery of peer-led support for individuals on their recovery journey across the Borough of Haringey. This role will require dynamic, hands-on management of BUBIC’s team, encompassing staff, peer mentors, and volunteers, to meet key performance indicators and community needs.

You will represent BUBIC’s values in all aspects of your work, including strengthening existing partnerships and cultivating new community links. A flexible approach is essential, with regular night shifts and occasional weekend work expected to provide outreach and attend local events.

Role overview:

As a member of MTL’s senior management team, you will take responsibility for the organisation’s growth and outward facing initiatives. About Baca: Baca is dedicated to providing support and care to 16 to 18 year old unaccompanied asylum seeking children who are newly arrived in the country, helping them rebuild their strength, dignity, and hope for the future. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Education Coordinator to join our team and lead the delivery of our education program.

Overall Purpose: As the Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering Baca's education program. Your role will be crucial in enabling the young people we support to achieve a standard of English that allows them to enrol in local college courses and become empowered individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver the education program creatively to meet the diverse needs of young people.
• Support the achievement of outcomes in line with Baca’s Theory of Change, including improved physical and emotional wellbeing, increased engagement with education, employment, and training, social engagement, and personal safety.
• Review and develop the education program to ensure it meets the needs of young people and college course requirements.
• Liaise with colleges and education providers to support student enrolment and ongoing academic success.
