We’re looking for a graphic designer to join our busy, dynamic and creative team. As part of our in-house design studio, you’ll create new content and breathe fresh life into existing assets – covering everything from fundraising and campaigning to support and research.

You’ll be a champion of our visual identity, supporting colleagues to deliver their aims and show-off our brand to their audiences in the best ways possible. Using your skills and experience to adapt designs for different channels and formats.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Partnerships and Development to lead and drive our growth, ensuring the long-term sustainability and expansion of our work.  

The role will involve combining strategic leadership and operational delivery, with a particular focus on expanding Abianda’s training programmes across the UK, increasing unrestricted income, strengthening partnerships and overseeing impact measurement.  

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will work collaboratively with SLT colleagues to drive Abianda’s strategic objectives, ensuring that all our programmes are delivered effectively across our remit. This role requires dynamic strategic and operational leadership, as well as a commitment to driving the development of best practices within the sector.

This is an exciting time to join the Abianda team. With an ambitious strategy in place, and after securing social investment to support the growth of our training programmes, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's future. You will ensure that our training, consultancy, and income-generating activities are aligned with our mission to support young women affected by criminal exploitation and violence. You will develop and implement strategies to scale our programmes to a national audience, drive income generation through training and fundraising, and enhance our external partnerships to increase Abianda’s reach and influence.​

About the Role

We are excited to be expanding our community approach for care experienced children and young people at Become. We have created this new post and are looking for a creative, welcoming coordinator to help us grow and meet the needs of our community. The postholder will coordinate the welcome experience, the community space, and the communications with the group. As such you will need to have an eye for detail to make sure that we’re engaging a diverse group across all areas of England, be a great communicator across individual, small group and entire community communications, and be able to deliver on small projects working across Become’s teams. Although this role will be remote and there will be limited face-to-face time with young people, there will be direct communication so building safe and trusted relationships will be key.

As our new Compliance Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality housing services and ensuring property compliance across our sites. You will ensure all statutory and regulatory obligations are met, particularly in relation to health and safety, property standards, and landlord responsibilities. • Managing onboarding and tenancy processes, including home visits, occupancy checks, and emergency protocols.

About the Organisation

About the Role

As a Case-handler you will work as part of the team responsible for conducting the initial assessment process for complaints and for resolving complaints.  This is a public-facing role with a varied and interesting caseload that involves extensive interaction with students and universities/colleges.

Job description

Objective: To generate income that supports Cumberland Lodge’s mission by identifying, researching, and securing funding from trusts, foundations, and grant-giving bodies. Main Duties:

Funding Development

Research and identify funding opportunities aligned with Cumberland Lodge programmes.

· Write compelling, youth and/or education focused funding applications and proposals.

· Track and manage applications, deadlines, budgets and outcomes.

Relationship Management

· Build and maintain strong relationships with funders.

· Provide timely updates, reports, and impact stories.

· Represent Cumberland Lodge at meetings, events, and networking opportunities.

 Strategy & Performance

You will be able to demonstrate the following criteria:

Essential Criteria:

· A track record of securing five-figure grants or more from trusts, foundations and other donors;

· Knowledge of the fundraising landscape in the UK;

· Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, for a range of audiences, including creative storytelling and project framing;

· Ability to analyse and synthesise research and data into compelling reports and funding applications;

· Ability to develop full cost recovery budgets and carry out all compliant financial reporting;

· Ability to carry out all grant management reporting accurately and in a timely manner, with knowledge of GDPR-compliant data management;

· Ability to work independently, being proactive, organised and results-driven, while maintaining an ethos of collaboration and teamwork;

· Excellent time-keeping and ability to meet deadlines;

· Experience using a range of IT packages and platforms.

Desirable Criteria:

· Experience working with young people, youth organisations or in the education sector;

· Knowledge of the fundraising landscape internationally;

· Experience using social media for marketing and communication.

Further information

Hours: 14 hours per week (through an annualised hours working pattern).

Location: Remote working although the successful candidate will be expected to work from Cumberland Lodge a minimum of one day per month.  Applicants should be aware that Cumberland Lodge is not easily accessible by public transport, so alternative forms of transport (bicycle, car) are helpful.

Annual leave: 33 days including Bank Holidays which will be pro-rata. The charity is closed over the Christmas period which will be deducted from the leave allocation.

Pension: Standard Life contributory pension (up to 10% contributions to support 5% personal contributions, with the option to increase personal contributions over and above 5%).

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable weather and climate scientist to join us at The Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS) as the Science Engagement Officer.

This is an exciting career opportunity for an individual who is keen to use their skills and knowledge to make a positive impact and advance the understanding of weather and climate in society through informal education. In this role, you will provide scientific support across science engagement project development, delivery and wider RMetS team operations. Reporting to the Head of Publishing and Scientific Engagement, you will have responsibility for developing training materials and co-delivering sessions for our climate change communication training, and you will deliver RMetS early career initiatives such as our career events. You will also create engaging content for various RMetS activities and stakeholders, and work with the media to enhance public awareness of weather and climate.

What you will do in the role:

• Develop training materials and co-deliver sessions for our RMetS training programme, including climate change communication training.

• A background in weather and climate, either through: a degree in a scientific field relevant to weather and climate; OR a Master’s degree within a scientific field relevant to weather and climate, with a minimum of three subsequent years working in industry.
• Extensive knowledge across weather and climate, and evidence of involvement in activities to ensure ongoing current knowledge across diverse areas.
• Experience in communicating scientific concepts and information to a different range of stakeholders (for example policy makers, the wider scientific and social science community, or the general public).

Main purpose of post
To provide high-level, confidential administrative and strategic support to the
CEO and Deputy CEO, enabling them to focus on leadership priorities by
managing their schedule, communications, and key relationships—while also
supporting governance functions and ensuring smooth coordination with the

Co-ordinate and service all Board of Trustee meetings and committees to ensure

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support:
 Provide proactive administrative and strategic support to the CEO and
Deputy CEO, including diary management, meeting coordination, and
handling correspondence.
 Manage and prioritise emails, draft communications, and assist in the
preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing documents.
 Coordinate travel, event attendance, and speaking engagements for the
CEO and Deputy CEO.

Board & Governance Support:
 Act as the key administrative support for the Board of Trustees and
Board committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing and
distributing papers, taking accurate minutes, and tracking actions.
 Maintain governance calendars, ensuring alignment with charity
reporting requirements and deadlines.
 Support the CEO and Head of Governance & Operations in ensuring
compliance with regulatory and governance obligations (e.g., Charity
Commission, Companies House).
 Facilitate effective communication between the CEO and Trustees, and
support Board induction, development and off boarding processes.
 Maintain accurate records and filing systems for confidential and
governance documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement:
 Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO in a
professional and timely manner.
 Support the planning and execution of high-profile meetings and events
involving funders, partners, and supporters.

Office and Project Support:
 Assist in the delivery and tracking of cross-organisational projects led by
the CEO.
 Coordinate Leadership meetings including preparing agendas, papers
and monitoring progress against the annual plan
 Coordinate the reporting from strategic working groups to monitor
progresses against objectives
 Coordinate and prepare assurance documents including the Risk
Register, CEO report and regulatory or compliance documents, as
required
 Provide occasional support to the senior management team, as required
