Job description

Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. It is estimated that 2.5 million people are currently living with the disease and this is predicted to accelerate over the next 20 years. For almost 40 years Penny Brohn UK have been working compassionately alongside people with cancer, offering personalised care from the point of diagnosis into treatment and throughout their survivorship.

Job Title: Chief Executive

Location: Bristol

Salary: £70 - £80k

Penny Brohn UK is the UK's longest standing charity asserting that to live well, people affected by cancer need more than medicine. Our core purpose is to bring health and enrichment to every life affected by cancer no matter who you are and whatever your circumstances.

Our new Chief Executive will provide inspirational vision and leadership through the next stage of our journey. Working closely with the Chair and Board, you will provide a strategic outlook on the current health and wellbeing landscape, identifying new opportunities, building organisational capability, increasing our profile and influencing to maximise our portfolio of cutting edge support and integrative care services.

We are looking for an exceptional individual with a successful leadership track record, who can demonstrate high levels of personal credibility and act as ambassador for the organisation, cultivate positive relationships and engage across a diverse range of stakeholders. With an empowering and collegiate leadership approach, you will balance the strategic and operational demands of the position, whilst building and developing a high performing and motivated team to maximise impact so as many people as possible can benefit from our services.
