About the role

This post will work as part of a community partnership programme, a small team providing accessible and bespoke perinatal care including, antenatal education, postnatal sessions, peer support, counselling and practical support to women from low-income migrant marginalised backgrounds. 

The role will provide non-judgmental, compassionate and trauma-informed care to women accessing the service helping them to navigate complex needs and overcome barriers to access through a creative, solution-focused approach. Working alongside the Perinatal Programme Manager building and maintaining a network of local support services, helping to develop clear referral pathways and strong partner relationships.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

• Experience of supporting or working with marginalised or vulnerable groups and understanding the barriers they face to accessing support and an awareness of ways in overcoming them  

• Knowledge and experience working or volunteering with women and birthing people during pregnancy and early years  

• Experience working within a relevant sector e.g., maternity, children’s services, homelessness, women’s services, mental health, supporting asylum and refugee families

• A good knowledge and understanding of local support and services for the client group
• Experience in empowering women to make informed decisions about their lives and advocating for their needs and rights

The Estate Officer will ensure the delivery of the regional maintenance programme, comprising routine, periodic, planned and urgent works, and the delivery of time limited maintenance consultancy and estate management projects. Lawyers Service

• Providing high quality services to our lawyers including identifying and recommending appropriate medical experts to clinical negligence solicitors; maintaining and developing the medical expert database. Routinely considering the Experts’ Protocol and ensuring that it remains relevant and fit for purpose.

Inquest Service

• Assessing cases for eligibility for AvMA’s pro bono Inquest Service according to AvMA’s criteria.
• Preparing cases for the coroner’s court to include sorting medical records; liaising with bereaved families by phone and in writing; researching medical literature; taking and preparing initial statements; liaising with the Coroner’s officer; securing appropriate disclosure documents; instructing counsel; assisting with preparation of bundles of documents for the hearing. Identifying general and specific patient safety issues; considering need for Prevention of Future Death Reports and or Action Plans.
• Attendance at pre-inquest hearings and inquest hearings with counsel and the family. This may involve travel and overnight stays. Out-of-pocket expenses are paid. Attendance may also be required to attend partial remote hearings via Teams/Zoom

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE

The Senior Officer- Executive Office plays a vital role in providing high-level strategic, operational and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer. This position is central to the smooth functioning of the CEO’s office, enabling the CEO to focus on leading the organisation effectively and with impact. In addition to supporting the CEO directly, the Senior Officer- Executive Office will also play a key role in facilitating the CEO’s engagement with the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees. ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a Senior Officer- Executive Office with strong experience supporting CEOs, senior leaders and Boards. You will be proactive and independent: an instinctive problem-solver with experience in designing and deploying easy-to-use systems and processes to support effective communication and project delivery within and beyond senior leadership, the Board, and wider team members.

• Provide oversight of internal and external communications requiring the CEO's input or signature.

External Engagement and Relationship Management

• Work closely with the External Engagement team to support and enhance the CEO’s external profile, including media, public appearances, keynotes, and thought leadership opportunities.
• Manage and update the CEO’s social media handles (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter/X), in coordination with the Communications team, to reflect the strategic positioning of the organisation.
• Monitor media and public engagement metrics related to the CEO and propose content ideas aligned with organisational goals.
• Represent the CEO’s office in internal and external engagements with professionalism and confidentiality.

Governance and Leadership Coordination

• In close collaboration with the Director of Operations and Finance, support the Board recruitment process, including conducting due diligence, managing conflict of interest declarations, and ensuring robust compliance and documentation.
• Lead the planning and coordination of induction and onboarding for new Board members, including the facilitation of any required training such as safeguarding, governance responsibilities, and organisational policies.

Executive Support

• Act as both a gatekeeper and gateway to the CEO, exercising sound judgment in managing access and prioritising engagements, while nurturing trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, efficiency, and strategic connectivity.
• Ensure the CEO is well-prepared for meetings by providing timely and accurate briefings, agendas,  relevant materials.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• A minimum of 7 years extensive professional experience in a similar role working directly with a high-performing leadership team and Board.

StreetGames is a charity passionate about harnessing the power of sport to change the lives of young people and their communities. Through our work with 1,600 trusted local community organisations, StreetGames addresses some of the most pressing issues faced by young people growing up in underserved communities, including poor mental health, food poverty, crime and lack of employment opportunities. We do this by delivering ‘Doorstep Sport’ at the right time, in the right place, in the right style, at the right price and by the right people. Doorstep Sport aims to make sport accessible to everyone regardless of their income and social circumstance.

We are seeking a Network Support Lead (London & South East) to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering Doorstep Sport offers and support for the network of Locally Trusted Organisations based in the region who support young people from low-income communities to be (more) physically active.

The role involves:

• Working closely with the Network Support Team and the London & South East Place Team to implement regional plans, which ensure that projects, offers and support to Locally Trusted Organisations (LTOs) are effective
• Overseeing and directly delivering a range of workshops and courses, creating and maintaining a safe, supportive, interactive and enjoyable learning environment in all delivery
• Delivering support to the workforce within Doorstep Sport beyond the workshop environment through CPD groups, bite-size learning and other opportunities for improving practice
• Co-ordinating the gathering of monitoring and evaluation information for funder reports, in relation to outputs and outcomes of projects delivered across the region/nationally

Working location: mostly remote work with some travel required. Based in the central area of the South West region you will deliver a face-to-face service to clients in their own home or safe meeting place across the Dorset, Avon, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire area  as well as providing support by Teams, phone, email or other means to suit the service user. We take a person-centred approach so the amount of travel will vary depending on your caseload at the time. You’re in control of your own diary. 

Why this role is important: Every 20 minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on UK roads. For families affected, the emotional and practical challenges are immense. As a Caseworker, you will provide trauma-informed care to individuals and families suffering from the sudden bereavement or life-altering injury of a loved one. Working mostly remotely, with some home visits to service users, you’ll offer vital emotional and practical support—including helping them access therapeutic resources, financial assistance, and guidance through the complexities of medical and legal processes.

Who we're looking for 

Full training will be provided under the guidance of our dedicated Training Officer. Our induction program has been developed to equip caseworkers with the skills they need to provide high quality support to road victims and covers topics such as being trauma-informed, safeguarding and risk management. We're open to candidates from all sorts of backgrounds, as long as you're a compassionate, self-starter with a background in providing high-quality emotional support and advocacy. Your experience in roles within the NHS, any health and social care, road safety, counselling, the police and family liaison officers, lived experience or any type of casework could make you an ideal candidate. 

Essential Requirements: 

• A full, clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (travel expenses are reimbursed) 

• Resident in the central area of the South West Region. 

• Experience delivering frontline support, preferably involving sudden bereavement or heightened vulnerabilities. 
• Strong advocacy and research skills to liaise with multiple organisations on behalf of service users. 
• Competency in I.T skills to work remotely.

• Comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in the criminal justice system and coronial process

Healthwatch City of London are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced communications and engagement officer to ensure that the patient and service users voice is at the heart of Health and Social Care decision making.  The successful candidate will drive engagement with the local community, creating visibility of our work to residents and partners. You will also be responsible for the management of our volunteer team and the exciting projects they undertake.

This part time role (4 days a week) is within a busy small team representing the residents, workers and students of the City of London. Healthwatch City of London are the independent champion for people who use health and social care services. We’re here to make sure that those running services, put people at the heart of care. Our sole purpose is to understand the needs, experiences and concerns of people who use health and social care services, and to speak out on their behalf. We also work to get services right for the future.

You’ll also be representing our organisation at network meetings across all the various Health and Social Care providers, charity partners and patient groups across North East London.

Role purpose

Working closely with the General Manager and Trustees you will develop and deliver the communications and engagement strategy for the organisation, making sure the patients voice is at the heart of everything we do. Health & Safety Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Officer to join our Estates Team. In your role as the Health & Safety Officer will be to provide support on an operational basis to the health & safety function.

Role Requirements

• Promote good stakeholder involvement and good safety culture
• Prepare and issue monthly health and safety briefing documents / toolbox talks
• Keep health and safety information up to date, including all fire safety documentation (fire emergency plans, fire safety manuals etc.), the health and safety section of the intranet and shared documents
• Carry out regular walkabouts, including at retail stores, keeping in touch with staff on their safety arrangements and ensuring control measures are in place and effective
• Provide health and safety training and coaching on topics such as, but not limited to, general health & safety (induction and refresher training), fire safety, COSHH, risk assessing and manual handling
• Develop and refresh internal online training to support staff learning experiences
• Carry out general risk assessment, as required, with particular emphasis on retail, regulatory requirements, outings and the clinical environment.
• Update fire risk assessments for low to medium-risk buildings, tracking completion of actions and updating compliance software
• Manage COSHH risk assessments and the COSHH risk register, checking on suitable PPE and storage
• Manage compliance with workstation assessments, including homeworking, using the external management system
• Support teams, enabling them to carry out their risk assessments, including manual handling assessments for inanimate activities
• Develop and keep up to date Safe Operating Procedures for health and safety.
• To undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join the Connexional Team.

We are offering an interesting and varied opportunity to support the work of the Connexional Team and the wider Methodist Church. 

We are looking for someone who will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the core operational IT infrastructure, underpinning all services both internally and externally in a responsive and customer focussed manner.

You will advise members of the team on matters related to IT and resolve second and third-line tickets in line with the service level agreement. Assist with the maintenance, continuous improvement and administration of the team’s growing IT infrastructure. Deploy and maintain laptop, desktop and tablet security to ensure that IT service users can enjoy a safe and secure IT environment. Perform proactive maintenance of the infrastructure environment as required. Work to tight deadlines and provide high levels of technical support and compliance. 

Working alongside colleagues within the Infrastructure team, you will provide support services to approximately 250 local and remote users within the organisation.

About You

• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms and software, including but not limited to: Windows Server, Active Directory, Windows 11, Backup, Monitoring/SNMP, SMTP/Exchange, Web Server/IIS, Dell Servers and storage, Printers/Papercut,
• Office 365, MS 365.
• Experience in server administration, database administration and application support.
• Experienced in IT support services and ticketing, as well as laptop and mobile phone support and networking configuration.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate technical issues to all levels
