This role requires someone with experience in legacy or in-memory fundraising, excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset. You will be able to connect meaningfully with supporters, manage multiple campaigns, and drive forward our strategy for growth and supporter engagement. You will be an ambitious, experienced, target driven relationship fundraiser, who is passionate and well-equipped to join our fast-paced team.
To be successful in this role you will:

Have previous experience in relationship management and income generation - ideally within a legacy and/or in memory setting, and able to lead and inspire our supporters in order to generate long term income and awareness for the charity

Be self-motivated, independent and target-driven

Possess a natural confidence in talking to people and encouraging their support

Have excellent communication and relationship building skills - be friendly, compassionate, inspiring and engaging

Have experience of producing compelling supporter creative and fundraising messages

Possess high emotional intelligence and resilience due to the sensitive nature of the role

Overall purpose of the role
The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional communications to enhance Orbis UK's profile in both the UK and the Middle East. The position is responsible for implementing strategic plans for UK and Middle East audiences, while supporting the Media and PR Manager in boosting Orbis UK's brand presence. The role also includes leading reputation and crisis management responses and plans.
The Media and PR Manager reports directly to this position, and together, they will collaborate to deliver effective communications plans. There will also be opportunities to work with the wider Orbis UK communications team on cross-departmental campaigns, appeals, and events, including VIP visits and integrated marketing campaigns.
This role encompasses communications planning, media relations, stakeholder management, reputation management, copywriting, and at times, event coordination. It requires strong relationship-building skills and the ability to manage projects across different teams and countries. The role is responsible for three key areas of work:
i) Overseeing the delivery of the media and PR strategy to increase brand awareness of Orbis within the UK and the Middle East through pitching and placement of high-quality media coverage, proactive PR initiatives and reactive press office opportunities within a range of publications that align with our target audiences and partnerships. This will include managing the Media and PR Manager, working with key stakeholders such as the Royal Press Office and key funding and programme partners, and supporting delivery of Orbis UK integrated marketing campaigns
ii) Implementing grant communication plans by creating content for website, social media and press activities for key partnerships
iii) Protecting the reputation of Orbis UK through crisis comms management 3

Insights Analyst - Charity - FULLY REMOTE

This is a fantastic opportunity to join their dedicated Data, Technology and Insight team and play a key role in data-driven decision-making across the Supporter Engagement Department.
As an Insight Analyst at Animals Asia, you'll be instrumental in analysing complex datasets, identifying actionable insights, and delivering strategic recommendations that contribute directly to their impactful mission. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues to build insightful dashboards (primarily using Tableau) and communicate key findings to stakeholders across the organisation. Your expertise in SQL and data visualisation will be crucial in driving Animals Asia's vital work.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in SQL for querying and manipulating data to extract meaningful information.
- Strong experience in working with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau to create clear and impactful reports and dashboards.
- Familiarity with the Google suite, Google Sheets, Google Meets, etc.
- Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues of all technical abilities, translating complex data into understandable insights and reports.
