Overall Purpose of the Corporate Partnernersips and Philanthropy Manager

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is an exciting new role, joining our small and expanding fundraising team.

This new role supports the delivery of our ambitious plans to develop and grow income from corporate partners including pharmaceuticals and major donors.  You will proactively lead on identifying, developing and delivering high and mid value partnerships. Utilising your excellent relationship management, you will think creatively and strategically to develop compelling proposals.

The role holder will work closely with the Senior Fundraising Manager and Chief Executive as we establish, develop, and retain these valued relationships.

Who we’re looking for?

Guts UK is looking for a dynamic and strategic Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager with a proven track record of securing high-value support from corporate partners and major donors.

You will be a highly experienced, corporate and/or philanthropy manager with well-developed relationship management skills, excited by the opportunity of shaping, developing and elevating these important supporters for the charity.

A committed and inspiring ambassador for Guts UK, you will also be a great team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues to deliver a dynamic and innovative programme of donor cultivation and stewardship.

Location

We have offices on London and Huddersfield, both of which are easily accessible by public transport or road. We support hybrid working but attendance in the chosen office is required for a minimum of 1 day per week.

The Development and Advocacy Department are looking to appoint an experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our Philanthropy team on a permanent basis. Reporting to one of the Senior Philanthropy Managers, in this role you will manage a number of philanthropic relationships and make a significant contribution to the team through developing new initiatives and growing the portfolio.

The ideal candidate profile for this post will be a team player, with the following credentials:

• An established track record in philanthropy or fundraising for major organisations
• Demonstrated success in managing a portfolio of high value relationships with experience of personally securing significant gifts
• Ability to think strategically to devise relevant engagement and cultivation plans and identify opportunities for approaches to prospects
• A balance of experience and innovation to be able to develop new ideas and launch new initiatives successfully
• Credibility as an ambassador in the area of philanthropy, able to work effectively at senior levels and liaise with high-net-worth individuals
• Strong project management skills, with demonstrable experience of solving complex problems, drawing on given resources and collaborative working

A working knowledge of our repertoire is not a pre-requisite for this role but the ability to upskill quickly in our art forms in order to confidently speak to prospective donors is essential.

Development Group generates philanthropic and sponsorship income to help us create a Natural History Museum for the future – investing in capital development, attaining vital acquisitions for the collection, transforming our galleries, developing innovative exhibitions and undertaking ground-breaking scientific research on issues that affect us all.

The Museum is looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual for the role of Philanthropy Manager. The role will be focused on raising funds from high-net-worth individuals capable of giving six-figure gifts and key in achieving our strategic priorities. It will involve working both independently and closely with senior stakeholders in order to cultivate and maintain relationships with new and existing funders, securing income towards a diverse range of core and capital projects.

Working alongside an approachable and highly successful Philanthropy team and reporting into the Senior Philanthropy Manager (HNWI), the role will cultivate and build relationships with a portfolio of potential and existing funders, engaging with them through correspondence, meetings, events and creating compelling proposals to secure funding. The role will provide exemplary stewardship and create robust and long-term pipelines, whilst actively supporting the Philanthropy Executive with their portfolio.

About The Role
Do you have an entrepreneurial approach and a proven record of securing major gifts from philanthropic individuals? We are recruiting for a Philanthropy Manager (Major Donors) to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract.

This is a home-based role, though you will be required to travel to attend donor meetings and some team-based meetings and training, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and able to travel to our London flagship office when required.

The Major Donor team is growing fast, doubling their income target last year to fund even more critical dementia support services and research. As Philanthropy Manager you will help us to reach our goal of securing £5+ million a year from Major Donors by 2027.

At the heart of our ambition is forging powerful partnerships with philanthropic supporters across all communities and regions. As part of our team, you’ll help unlock funding for a pipeline of groundbreaking research and transformational projects that are set to change lives. From pioneering clinical trials and cutting-edge scientific discoveries to tackling health inequalities and delivering vital, on-the-ground support for people affected by dementia—our work is bold, far-reaching, and deeply needed. About you

You will be a confident and engaging communicator, adept at collaborating with stakeholders internally and externally. You must understand the motivations of social impact investing for supporters and be curious and highly motivated about ending the devastation caused by dementia.

This role provides a great opportunity for an established fundraiser to grow our pipeline, an area that we know has huge potential for growth. You will get the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and vital programmes of work that provide help and hope for everyone affected by dementia. 

You will have either be able to build or have pre-existing (personal or professional) links to South Asian communities. You will be able to develop a cultural insight, or experience working within these networks, you will play a vital role in helping us build trust, broaden our reach, and connect new prospects to the Society’s ambitious vision.

What you’ll focus on:

- Forging close relationships with philanthropists, with a focus on engaging the South Asian community with our work.
- Managing a portfolio of donors, to provide our supporters with best in sector stewardship.
- Building networks with philanthropic ‘intermediaries’, such as private wealth managers and family offices.
- Cross-team working with our Insurance United Against Dementia and Sport United Against Dementia development boards, to grow our philanthropic networks.

This is an exciting time to join the museum as they embark on a major capital campaign to raise £150m to transform their South Kensington site ahead of their 150th anniversary. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this role will be responsible for personally securing high six- and seven-figure gift from Trusts and Foundations. You will be working closely with the whole Philanthropy team to coordinate on the overall strategy and targets for maximising philanthropic giving to the organisation.

The successful candidate will have significant fundraising or income generating experience and a proven track record of securing income at the high six- and seven-figure level. You will have demonstrable experience in managing a high value and diverse portfolio of Trusts and Foundations that include complex relationships.

As a Senior Philanthropy Manager- Trusts and Foundations, you will play a key role in securing and stewarding major gifts from trusts and foundations, as well as developing and implementing strategic partnerships to drive fundraising growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive trusts and foundations strategy to secure and steward major gifts  
• Lead and develop a high preforming team
• Build and maintain relationships with trusts and foundations, identifying and pursuing new opportunities
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver fundraising campaigns and events
• Analyse and report on fundraising performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential trusts and foundations, identifying and pursuing new opportunities

Person Specification:

• Proven experience of securing and stewarding major gifts from trusts and foundations and leading a team to success 
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and identify opportunities for growth
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering results and meeting targets

Stewardship is seeking an inspiring and strategic leader to head our Philanthropy Fund service. As part of our Leadership Team, you’ll champion biblical generosity, drive innovation, and lead a passionate team delivering exceptional service to high-impact donors.

You will lead a team of ten to deliver the vision for our Philanthropy Fund within Stewardship’s corporate strategy, lead and grow our Donor Advisory Board service, cultivate deep client relationships and expand our reach across philanthropy networks.  Driving income growth, providing data-led insights as well as representing Stewardship at key events. 

You'll need to be an empathetic leader, able to work strategically and collaboratively across teams.  A strong communicator with a passion for innovation and client relationships who is motivated by seeing lives transformed through Christian generosity. 

This is a 12 month, maternity cover role.

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated fundraiser to join our successful team as we embark on a major capital campaign (NHM150) to raise £150m to transform our South Kensington site ahead of our 150th anniversary. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this role will be responsible for personally securing high six- and seven-figure gift from Trusts and Foundations.

The Senior Philanthropy Manager will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and the rest of the Philanthropy team, feeding into the overall strategy for the team. They will manage a portfolio of funder accounts which deliver long-term, high-value strategic partnerships as well as building new relationships.

The post will also manage a team of 3 – 2x Philanthropy Manager and 1 Philanthropy Executive.

The Philanthropy team has seen significant investment and there will be substantial opportunities for professional development within a world-leading cultural organisation.

About you

The role requires excellent fundraising skills, with experience in raising and managing high six- and seven-figure gifts. Candidates will need excellent communication and written experience to develop high quality applications, proposals and reports - ensuring the highest standard of cultivation and stewardship. Additionally, candidates will ensure they can work within the direct team, wider Development team and full organisation, while managing their own team to successfully achieve targets.
