Reporting into the Head of Philanthropy, this role will work closely with colleagues across the Income Generation and External Affairs Directorate, and the CEO, who are committed to supported income growth in this area. With the support of the Head of Philanthropy, this role will be responsible for developing Major Donor Fundraising into a major area of income for the charity.

The Committed Giving Campaign Executive Retention helps those with sight loss to live the life they choose by assisting with the delivery of the Committed Giving campaigns across supporter development, delivering on time and to budget, to maximise the number of responses and value to the organisation.
This is a hybrid role working a minimum of 2 days in the office and the remaining 3 days from home.
The working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with 26 days paid holiday (excluding bank holidays) a year.

Imperial Health Charity is currently recruiting for an exciting new role, Philanthropy Executive, to join our growing fundraising team. We are proud to support five West London hospitals to do more through grants, fundraising, arts and volunteering. As Philanthropy Executive, you will be responsible for raising vital income from major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporates to support innovative research, hospital redevelopments and improvements to patient and staff wellbeing.
You will also be responsible for identifying, engaging and stewarding a range of cold and warm supporters, developing compelling proposals and impact reports, and managing a small portfolio of donors and the annual Christmas mailing for trusts and foundations to grow income, as well as supporting the philanthropy team more widely.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Create compelling and high-quality written communications, including funding proposals and impact reports for major donor, trusts and foundations and corporate supporters.
- Drive new business by carrying out research into and building relationships with newly identified donors, obtaining and sharing relevant information with the philanthropy team.
- Lead on the development of the annual Christmas mailing for warm and cold trusts and foundations, with plans to introduce an additional Spring mailing.

Expectations in the role
- Monitor all current and newly-approved MDUK projects, working closely with the Director of Care, Communications and Support to plan approaches effectively and liaise with relevant senior staff.
- Prepare and submit high-quality applications to a personal portfolio of high-value strategic funders.
- To continually develop and ensure the delivery of the strategic plan for the team to reflect the aims and objectives of the Charity’s overall strategy.

They are seeking a Legacy and Trusts Executive to cover a period of maternity leave. The postholder will generate target income from UK Charitable Trusts and Foundations and from legacy donations. The postholder will provide effective administration of trusts, partnerships, and legacies and work closely with the Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager to ensure the overall objectives of the department are supported.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in legacy administration and understanding of legacies legal administration.
- Experience of writing applications for trust and foundation fundraising.
- Knowledge of the SORP guidelines and awareness of charity accrual process.
- Experience using Salesforce would be advantageous.
We are seeking an individual with excellent written and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload, able to understand and interpret complex data, with high levels of numeracy and literacy.

This fantastic opportunity would best suit an individual with successful and proven experience in achieving income targets in a high value trust fundraising role.

You will have:

- Excellent proposal and bid-writing skills and the ability to articulate compelling funding propositions to secure grants and gifts.
- Sound donor stewardship skills including ability to prepare high-quality donor reports and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to gain buy-in and confidence from Trust supporters including senior-level contacts.
- Ability to work collegiately with colleagues across teams to develop and deliver funding propositions, to problem-solve and generate creative opportunities and to engage your funders.
- The ability to meet and manage individual KPIs and contribute towards the delivery of team KPIs
- Budget management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
