About KLS’ Future Foundations education team
Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school.
Key Objectives for this Role
Working closely with the Lead Youth Worker and Youth Worker you will help create safe, engaging and inclusive opportunities for children and young people to learn, build confidence and develop positive relationships.
Homework Clubs
Support the running and planning of two weekly homework clubs for children age 5 - 14.
Contribute to the development of engaging session plans and learning activities.
Research and source resources and materials to support activities and learning.
Support to plan and run engaging and fun activities/ongoing projects for children attending the clubs.
Use participatory approaches to ensure young people help shape activities and programme development.
Encourage children and young people to take ownership of activities and contribute to decision-making within the clubs Implement our behaviour management policy and work from a trauma informed perspective.
Support the registration and onboarding of new participants, ensuring records and consent information are accurate and up to date Liaise with families/carers when necessary.
Maintain accurate records, registers, case studies, feedback, photographs and other monitoring information in line with organisational requirements and funding obligations.

Money Advice Referral Tool Coordinator - Job Description
Resolve Poverty works locally to end poverty nationally through a range of strategic and policy, knowledge development and practical delivery activities. We are a growing organisation working in multiple localities across the country, often partnering with local councils and other public bodies and working with them and their VCFSE sector partners.
Our Money Advice Referral Tool (MART) currently operates in eight local authority areas. This will increase over the next year, with new localities coming on stream. The MART provides professionals and volunteers in non-money advice roles with the ability to understand and to effectively support people experiencing or at risk of financial hardship to access relevant money related support services. The MART is built upon the idea that the best way to support someone experiencing poverty is to maximise their income and to address any debts they may have. It also recognises that professionals and volunteers in non-money advice roles often encounter people with money worries and can act as a conduit for people to access the support they need. As such, the tools are used by people in a range of settings, including schools, health centres and local charities and community groups.
As the programme grows, we are recruiting to a new MART Coordinator role. This is an exciting role that will give someone an opportunity to develop networking, coordination and organisational skills. You will be passionate about tackling poverty and building effective partnerships.
Particulars:

We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under in Wales and the bordering counties in England, including; Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Avon and Somerset, with the plan to continue to roll out support to the whole of England. We work in partnership with professionals who refer int the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.

The Opportunity

Warm Welcome Responsibilities
Working closely with the Warm Welcome Spaces Support Manager and wider team your primary responsibility will be to provide Project Coordination related to projects that are designed to support Warm Welcome Spaces, taking ownership of specific projects and tasks as required, including;
Project Coordination:
Owns and manages parts of a project and ensures successful delivery - for example within the Warm Welcome Champions Programme or Partnership volunteering opportunities to benefit Spaces. This will include organising specific events as part of wider projects
Develops project plans and timelines and maintains updates and progress
Communicates clearly about a project and ensures the project is keeping to the planned timeline and outcomes, identifying any delivery challenges quickly

We are an All-Wales and part England charity providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage.
