The role

The Content Officer will play a key role in managing and developing BDF’s Knowledge Hub, our unique resource library of accurate, authoritative, and up-to-date information on business and disability. They will be responsible for collecting, monitoring, and analysing data on the Knowledge Hub’s use and performance, and using these insights to create and deliver a digital content strategy.

The requirement

• Experience managing and updating digital content, ideally using CMS platforms such as WordPress with Kadence or similar themes
• Proven experience conducting content audits and implementing accessibility checks
• Experience using SEO tools and website analytics to monitor and optimise digital content performance
• Experience writing and proofreading web copy, video scripts, and multimedia content
• Technical aptitude to learn and implement new digital features, plug-ins, or tools

About the role

We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who has experience in Complex Mental Health and Substance Misuse to join our residential service based in Croydon. You will use your skills and knowledge to support residents with mental health challenges, complex needs, and will provide specialist occupational therapy as part of their recovery. This is a great opportunity to shape your own role, alongside a team of Positive Engagement Workers, a Dual Diagnosis Worker, and Clinical Psychologist, whilst working closely with the Group Psychological Lead and other external partnerships. You will receive regular supervisions and have time with an external Occupational Therapist. 

You will:

• Deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills
• Be proactive with planning and delivering meaningful activities; this includes one to one and group sessions
• Work closely with clinical teams to meet people where they are, assess their situation, and write recommendations and signposting accordingly
• Assess their current situation through holistic assessments and put plans in place for them to overcome their personal barriers, to enable them for independent living and stability
• Provide psychologically informed interventions in a person-centred approach, flexibly to the resident needs
• Complete various assessments from function to task related to help empower enhanced community and personal engagement
• Set SMART goals in a collaborative way with residents, taking into account all information present from various team members and partner agencies.  

About you

We’re looking for a passionate, driven and qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the HCPC who has experience working with people that have multiple complex needs. You’ll be confident applying theory to the practical working environment. We use a trauma informed, non judgmental approach, so it’s important that you can work well with others, fit into the team, and build trusting relationships. You will be able to apply your knowledge of relevant guidance and protocols to the working environment. You will have a background in a similar role, able to provide specialist support to our residents who struggle with their mental health and substance use.

What we look for:

• Ability to provide specialised occupational therapy assessment and treatment for residents/participants.
• Willingness to work in adherence to Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and Consultation Observation Tool (COT) and other practice guidelines.
• Ability to identify activity needs and wishes through various approaches such as assessments, observations, and discussions then use these to implement plans of action.
• Ability to recognise signs of deteriorating mental health, physical health, or other health implications and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crisis or other risks.

Main purpose of the job

A fantastic opportunity has emerged to join Bond’s communications team, as its new Media Adviser.

This position will add capacity to Bond’s media function to help build Bond’s media presence, support the delivery of Bond’s strategy and support the sector in championing humanitarian assistance and development that works to help those who need it the most. This post has two main purposes. Firstly, to coordinate and engage with communications and media specialists across the sector to address shared issues and achieve shared objectives together. Secondly, to maximise opportunities to achieve regular media coverage to help deliver Bond’s strategic objectives and services in appropriate sector press, in support of Bond’s strategy, positioning and reputation.

This role will work collaboratively across the organisation and the NGO sector and will help deliver a planned, strategic, consistent, and integrated approach to our media work.

Main responsibilities

Press office (30%)

• Act as prime contact for enquiries from press or other media representatives
• Identify matters on which collective action/comment from Bond and/or the wider sector may or may not be required
• Ensure consistent messaging around Bond’s media work and campaigns or sector initiatives in which Bond is engaged
• Write and sell-in collective letters, statements, opinion pieces, features, and responses to print, online and broadcast media
• Updating Bond’s press lists while developing and maintaining good relationships with key journalists in relevant media
• Record and report media coverage of Bond and parliamentary stakeholders, using Bond’s media monitoring platform to track coverage
• Use Bond’s media monitoring platform to track government announcements and parliamentary stakeholder activity
• Monitor and update the Bond team on relevant news stories and media trends
• Support the organisation of background briefings with journalists, press conferences and oversee media interviews

Leading Bond’s media and PR work (20%)

• Ensure regular coverage of Bond’s work and services in appropriate sector media to support delivery of Bond’s organisational strategy
• Work closely with colleagues across Bond to develop and implement media and PR outputs for Bond products, services and marketing.
• Work closely with the corporate team to implement media and PR outputs for corporate partnerships and events.

News gathering and editorial (20%)

• Update the news section of Bond’s website to capture current stories and issue affecting the humanitarian and development sector.
• Source thought leadership blogs for distribution through various Bond channels and external media, including news stories, blogs, features and social media items
• Source opportunities to share Bond’s media coverage via Bond’s different channels including social media and in relevant Bond working groups
• Manage the editorial calendar recording key global dates and events and making the wider team aware of editorial and media opportunities around these dates.

As Philanthropy Officer, you will be an organised and proactive fundraiser, adept at multi-tasking and working across a variety of projects to successfully support senior leaders. The philanthropy income team is a team of two, working closely with the Director of Development to secure and steward individual donors. As Philanthropy Officer, you will support both the Head of Philanthropy and Director of Development in their work with individual donors, including undertaking prospect research, writing briefings and compelling reports, coordinating meetings and donor visits, and maintaining accurate donor records.

New Business

Person Specification

Skills and experience:

• Experience building and managing relationships with individuals, ideally in a philanthropy team or other fundraising capacity, or in sales or other relevant professional capacity.
• Experience researching and prioritising information to drive decisions. Evidence of researching qualifying individuals, ideally to create a clear and prioritised propsect pipeline, is not essential but will help you to stand out.

We are seeking a Sustainability and Evaluation Officer to play a vital role in helping us build the foundations of our sustainability and impact work during a key period of organisational development and change. 

Reporting to our Sustainability and Impact Lead, this role will provide essential analytical, coordination, and stakeholder engagement support as we:

I am working exclusively with a respected not-for-profit organisation who are currently in the market for a very proactive and experienced HR Administrator to join their HR team, working on a 6-month fixed-term contract with the view of potentially extending (via a fair and open process). You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support to the HR team.

You will act as a first point of contact for HR related administrative queries and support the team with a wide variety of HR tasks. This will include recruitment support and candidate liaison, administration support for the learning and development programme, new starter onboarding, HR inbox management as well as arranging meetings, and providing light diary and administration support for the HR Director.

Administration and support

• As a member of the HR team, you will ensure that all administration activities which support the work of the HR team are managed in a proactive and efficient way.

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

This is a fundamental role within our South regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer.

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation.
