About the Role
Are you an experienced A level tutor? Can you support under-resourced young people to reach their full academic potential?
We are looking for passionate and qualified A level tutors to deliver high quality small group tuition to our cohort of over 800 students. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced tutors with a love of learning to work with bright students whilst earning a competitive market rate for their tuition expertise. Tutorials are delivered online in groups of 2-4 students via our bespoke online platform.
Tutors should be able to commit to a minimum of three hours per week, between the hours of 4pm and 8pm on a weekday, to tutor The Access Project students.

Tutor Responsibilities

About the team
Community Services deliver crucial advice and support needed by individuals, families and communities impacted by the housing emergency, sharing knowledge to assert their housing rights and using the evidence gathered to push for systemic change. The team are based in our 11 hubs around England, and each is overseen by a Strategic Lead. They will report directly to you and the other Head of Community Services.

About the team:
Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.
With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:

creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;

sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups; and

providing support and help to build a sustainable and welcoming community for all peer support groups across England.
This role will coordinate the ‘hub’ resources and content with a focus on supporting sustainability and building resilience of peer support groups and their leaders. Specifically, this role will manage an ‘online hub’ for support group leaders and provide an excellent ‘customer experience’ for all support group leaders. You will support the hub innovation.

As a Recovery service facilitator, you’ll be a key point of contact within the Recovery service.
Your responsibilities will focus around designing, delivering, evaluating, reporting and the continuous development of structured learning programmes for people with mental ill health. Suzy Lamplugh Trust is the UK’s pioneering personal safety charity and leading stalking authority. We were established in 1986 following the disappearance of 25-year-old Suzy Lamplugh, an estate agent and lone worker who went to meet a client and never returned. The Trust exists so that what happened to Suzy does not happen to anyone else. For the past 37 years, we have worked towards reducing the risk of harassment, stalking, aggression, and violence. Our Stalking Helpline offers support and advice to thousands of victims of stalking every year, while our bespoke advocacy teams work closely with partners across the Violence Against Women and Girls’ (VAWG) sector, the criminal justice system, and both statutory and non-statutory services to ensure our clients can live a live free from abuse and fear.
You will be working alongside a team of advocates who are dedicated to supporting and empowering victims and survivors of stalking. By working with a caseload of 20- 25 clients, you will have the opportunity to provide holistic and bespoke advocacy to your clients, whilst leveraging your knowledge of gender-based abuse to support the Trust’s specialist mission.
Purpose of Role:
· To provide expert advice and advocacy to victims of stalking.
· To provide guidance and support by telephone, email and face-to-face to those affected by stalking.
· To provide casework support and advocacy to victims of stalking, liaising with both voluntary and statutory services to ensure positive outcomes for victims.
· To support the operational Team Leaders where required.
