The Talent Set is delighted to be working with Refuge, a leading charity supporting women and children experiencing domestic abuse, as they look to appoint a proactive Senior Fundraising Events Executive on an interim basis until May 2026.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced events fundraiser who thrives on both strategy and delivery. You’ll help shape and implement an exciting programme of special, active, and virtual fundraising events — from high-profile sporting challenges like the London Marathon to bespoke supporter-led initiatives.

Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, digital and communications, you’ll play a vital part in developing supporter journeys, strengthening engagement, and maximising income through exceptional stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of the events fundraising strategy and annual budget.
• Monitor and report on event income, expenditure, and KPIs, identifying opportunities and risks.
• Analyse event performance and make recommendations for future growth and innovation.
• Manage a portfolio of special, active, and virtual events, ensuring high-quality delivery from start to finish.
• Research, test, and evaluate new fundraising event opportunities to expand income streams.
• Work with external agencies and suppliers to ensure smooth and cost-effective event delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider fundraising team to cross-promote events and recruit participants.
• Develop and deliver tailored stewardship plans to inspire, motivate, and retain event participants.
• Provide excellent supporter care, responding promptly to enquiries and helping fundraisers achieve their targets.
• Use digital tools and campaigns to enhance supporter journeys and deepen engagement.
• Ensure accurate and effective use of CRM systems to track event participants and fundraising performance.
• Contribute to the creation of new processes that support smooth and efficient event delivery.
• Produce comprehensive post-event evaluations to inform future planning.
• Represent the charity at events, including evenings and weekends where required.
• Ensure all activity complies with GDPR, fundraising regulations, and health and safety policies.

Person Specification:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in events fundraising.
• Proven track record of working towards and achieving financial targets.
• Experience delivering virtual challenges or third-party sporting events.
• Strong background in supporter stewardship and relationship management.
• Knowledge of fundraising principles, governance, and charity law relating to events.
• Experience using CRM systems (ideally Raiser’s Edge) for data management and analysis.
• Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise multiple projects and work to tight deadlines.
• Strong numeracy and confident budget management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable producing reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
• A self-starter who is adaptable, motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A creative and proactive approach to problem solving and innovation.

What will I be doing?

• Understanding stakeholder business objectives and gathering reporting and analysis requirements and documents as per the team's governance model

• Leading projects to develop and provide robust, high quality and insightful KPI reports and analysis for each area of the business and ensuring that the business has the most up to date and relevant information available as part of a programme of data analysis projects

• Ensuring that reports and insights are communicated to stakeholders in a way that drives impact and influence

• Ensuring delivery adheres to the established business processes and that all necessary documentation and working procedures are always maintained

• Developing the ability to competently use a broad range of reporting and analysis tools across multiple data sources

• Investigating and reconciling data inconsistencies, ensuring that the Reporting team produce consistent results and information

• Identifying opportunities and collaborating with other team members to improve the governance of reporting and analysis

• Building, developing and managing relationships and share skills and learning with key stakeholders and networks to ensure the work of the department matches needs and builds capability.

What skills will I need?

• Significant experience of reporting and data analysis techniques and statistics gained in an organisation or agency, ideally with complex marketing and comms landscape.

• Significant experience of using Power BI, familiar with creating advanced data models, data flows and DAX language, using outputs to make actionable dashboards and insights.

• Relevant experience of manipulating a broad range of data sets for reporting needs or driving out insight (i.e. SQL, R, and Python)

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (experience in creating macros advantageous but not essential).

• Experience of Google Analytics advantageous but not essential

• Experience of leading and delivering projects with proven impact and demonstrating excellent project management and planning skills with ability to prioritise workload

• Strategic skills (including analysis, structured thinking and logical reasoning) and strong accuracy and numeracy, with good attention to detail

• Evidence of proactive behaviours, and ability to work independently, challenges own performance, invests in own development and finds innovative solutions to problems

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to convey expertise in a way that engages and builds their knowledge

• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with others and work as part of a team.

What the job involves

We’re looking for someone to join our in-house Film and Photography team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of video projects, working with a friendly, supportive, and talented creative team.

You’ll focus on editing a wide range of content, from event promotions and social media clips to documentaries and campaign films. Beyond editing, you'll also be an integral part of our shoots, helping with everything from monitoring camera feeds to assisting with basic production duties and managing equipment. You'll also play a crucial role in keeping our team's processes and systems running smoothly, including assisting with administration and managing our Digital Asset Library.

You'll have the chance to collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to bring incredible stories to life, so strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit are essential.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Video Content Editor who is confident using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit video content and have experience in colour grading and audio restoration. You’ll have a good understanding of creating content for different channels, especially social media formats, and be organised, reliable, and happy to pitch in across editing, shoots, and administrative tasks. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the organisation are essential, as is a good eye for detail and the ability to follow brand guidelines. Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a small, busy creative team are also key, as is being a self-starter who's happy to take initiative and hit the ground running.

It would be great if you also have experience shooting film and/or photography, particularly at small events, knowledge of social media video formats and optimisation, and basic motion graphics or animation skills using Adobe After Effects.

In order to assess your suitability for this role we'll need to look at some of your work, you’ll be asked to include a link to your portfolio as part of your application and applications will not be considered without this.

The Centre for Progressive Change is looking for a full-time Operations Director that will be part of the newly formed Executive Team. The Centre for Progressive Change (CPC) is an organisation that builds campaigns for national policy change in the UK. Our focus is on making progressive gains that improve the lives of low- and middle-income communities. To achieve this vision, our mission is to build proactive campaigns for progressive legislative change, do research on what works when campaigning for national policy change and offer training and consultancy to support other organisations to build effective campaigns. Our campaigns use an inter-disciplinary approach including community organising, mobilising, advocacy, business engagement, campaign research and press work.

The Events Officer will be responsbile for delivering a wide range of events to our members such as training courses and the annual conference, and must be a highly organised and enthusiastic individual working in collaboration and partnership with one other part time Events Officer. You will require an eye for detail, have excellent liaison skills and have the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Our courses and the AGM are delivered online, with our annual conferences delivered in-person or hybrid. The annual conference is an important event for BAAT and an exciting, key responsibility for this role.

This role requires the additional responsibility of managing the Events marketing activity, working in partnership with the Senior Digital Comms Officer.

The successful applicant will join a small, professional staff team based in London. We are hybrid-working, with a mix of home-based working and part (usually at least one day a week) in-office working practice.

You’ll lead the production, distribution, and analysis of high-quality People Management Information (MI), ensuring compliance with data protection laws and enabling data-driven decision-making. ABOUT TRAIN

TRAIN is a youth work charity based in South Oxfordshire. We support young people aged 10 to 18 in Didcot, Wallingford and the surrounding areas, especially those who are under-served.

Young people in our communities are facing complex challenges. Mental health struggles, pressures at school, family instability and the impact of poverty can leave them feeling isolated or overlooked. Too often, they don’t have access to the right support at the right time. TRAIN exists to change that. We offer trusted relationships with adults outside positions of authority, safe spaces where young people can be themselves, and opportunities to grow in confidence, make positive choices and feel part of their community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a key support role in a small, values-driven charity. While most people know TRAIN for its youth work, the smooth running of our organisation depends on good systems, clear admin and reliable behind-the-scenes support. That’s what this role is about.

As Charity Support Officer, you’ll take care of the day-to-day admin that keeps us organised, while also supporting projects and events that help TRAIN grow. Some responsibilities are regular — such as finance processing, HR and volunteer onboarding, responding to enquiries and keeping records accurate. Others will vary week to week, from preparing a funder report to liaising with contractors on a website update or helping coordinate the Didcot Youth Festival.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, adaptable and comfortable juggling different tasks. You won’t be expected to lead major projects or make big decisions, but you will be the first port of call for the small, steady tasks that make a big difference. If you enjoy variety, value attention to detail, and want to play a part in supporting life-changing youth work, this role could be a good fit.

This is a part-time role of 15 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly. The role is based in Didcot or Wallingford with hybrid working. We expect at least some office time each week, but for exceptional candidates, we will consider a fully remote arrangement.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Core (day-to-day focus)

• Communications and enquiries – be the first point of contact for general enquiries via email and social media, ensuring timely and professional responses.
• Project coordination and events – Coordinate various ad hoc projects (e.g. website refresh, new systems) and provide support for events such as the Didcot Youth Festival.
• HR and volunteer support – coordinate onboarding for staff and volunteers, including references, DBS checks and inductions.
• Office and building liaison – help keep the Didcot youth centre running smoothly by liaising with the landlord/service manager and handling facilities needs.
• Team support – provide admin support across the CEO, staff and trustees, including scheduling, minute-taking and document preparation.

Important (regular, but secondary to the above)

• Finance administration – support the CEO and our bookkeeper with tasks such as processing invoices, expenses, payments and payroll information.
• Data and monitoring – keep records up to date (attendance, impact data, safeguarding logs) for accurate reporting.
• Comms basics – work with the Fundraising and Communications Coordinator to update the website, draft newsletters and prepare supporter updates.
• Database and records – maintain supporter, volunteer and young people’s contact details.
• Policies and procedures – keep master copies organised and flag review dates.
• Health & safety admin – support with risk assessments, building checks and first aid supplies.

Occasional (as needed)

• Fundraising support – assist with funder reports, donor thank-yous and admin for community events.
• Safeguarding admin – support the Designated Safeguarding Lead with record-keeping and DBS renewals (admin only).
• Governance support – assist with trustee papers, annual returns and filings.
• Supplies and logistics – order office supplies, consumables and manage petty cash/card reconciliation.
• IT and systems – liaise with IT suppliers on logins, backups or new staff accounts.
• Insurance/licensing renewals – track renewal dates and ensure processes are followed.

ABOUT YOU

We don’t expect you to have experience in every area of this role — we know people pick up skills in different ways. What matters most is that you’re organised, reliable and keen to support the team.

Essential qualities

• Organised and detail-focused, able to keep systems and records tidy.
• Good communicator, confident in responding to emails, calls and enquiries in a professional and friendly way.
• Comfortable juggling different tasks and adapting to what’s needed week by week.
• IT literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to work independently but also collaborate well as part of a small team.
• Motivated by making a difference for young people through the support you provide.
• Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check (we will arrange this before you start).

Desirable qualities

• Experience of charity administration, finance or HR processes.
• Familiarity with database/CRM systems or monitoring tools.
• Experience coordinating volunteers or supporting events.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, data protection or health and safety admin.
• Experience preparing simple reports or supporting fundraising admin.
