Homeless Link is the national membership charity for frontline homelessness agencies and the wider housing with health, care and support sector in England. With more than 750 members, we work to improve services and campaign for policy change that will help end homelessness and ensure that everyone has a place to call home and the support they need to keep it.
We provide specialist learning and development services to help create a thriving workforce now and into the future, that has the skills and knowledge to provide professional and consistent support to people experiencing homelessness. As part of this we offer a sector-specific online recruitment platform, the National Homelessness Skills Framework as well as specialist learning programmes to help staff working in homelessness focus on their personal development and to help those new to the sector identify their future career path.

And the new Learning and Development Officer will support the development and delivery of a series of programmes that promote the homelessness sector as a meaningful and long-term career destination as well as developing the leadership of the sector. This postholder will play a vital role as Look Ahead works to maintain and gain service contracts aligned to our ambitious Business Development Strategy and business plan. What you'll do:
Summary of Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Building relationships with commissioners and stakeholders in supported accommodation and health in a dedicated geographic area covering all of our client groups - learning disabilities, mental health, homelessness, young people
- Commercial Business Partnering: Work with operational colleagues in designated patch to support the end-to-end business development process including contract extensions and renegotiations.
- Tender Management: Monitoring, managing, and drafting high- quality submissions, for Local Authority and Health Trusts, frameworks and Dynamic Purchasing Systems, focusing primarily on own patch but contributing to and supporting tender exercises coordinated by other members of the business development team as required.
- Strategic Positioning: Analysing evaluation criteria and advising on bid competitiveness and commercial strategies, including presenting proposed models and contract prices at internal risk panels to gain Senior Leadership approval

The postholder will have experience working within science communication, displaying strong scientific knowledge while delivering high impact engagement campaigns. It is essential to have experience in People Management as this role oversees the different branches of the Engagement and Storytelling theme covering Communication, Policy and Membership.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ensure effective and efficient delivery of the mandatory and core learning offer

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Deep experience of designing and implementing OD/L&D/Enablement strategies that align with organisational goals and deliver impact.

· Experience building strong business cases and measuring the effectiveness and impact of programmes and initiatives on organisational and people performance and outcomes.

Marine Society have an exciting new role! Help us to grow our rapidly expanding apprenticeships and adult skills programmes to meet growing industry demand. We’re looking for a confident, self-starter individual who can engage key stakeholders and employers in the maritime industry and increase our reach and reputation.
You’ll be expected to have a good understanding of the maritime sector training needs and have a demonstrable track record in sales and recruitment. A working knowledge of government funded training programmes is helpful but not essential.

About the role
This new role is to support the growth of Marine Society apprenticeship and adult skills provision. This is a strategic, outward-facing role requiring a confident astute individual who can engage key stakeholders and employers in the maritime industry to recruit new entrants and existing employees onto Marine Society programmes.
Responsibilities
· To grow the apprenticeship and adult skills provision in line with agreed annual recruitment and financial targets
· To develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective employers and learners, proactively identifying new apprenticeship and learning opportunities within the maritime industry. To secure repeat business with apprenticeship employers through cultivating long-term relationships.
· To work with the Director of Maritime Training and Development to devise a sales and marketing strategy to grow the apprenticeship and adult skills provision. To support the tendering process to ASF devolved areas and work with subcontractor partners.
· To collaborate with the Apprenticeship Operations Manager and Maritime Lead Trainer to convert identified leads and share industry intelligence.
· To assist the Digital Marketing Coordinator to write targeted social media posts and marketing campaigns, ensuring market visibility and lead generation. To build a library of promotional literature and good news stories.
· To maintain accurate records of business development leads and pipeline activity within the CRM system and to routinely report on these
· Attend relevant external boards, fora and industry bodies, as directed in order to promote maritime apprenticeships and training including; Maritime Skills Alliance, Workboat Association, MNTB apprenticeship committee and Port Skills and Safety
· To attend industry trade fairs and careers events to represent Marine Society. These include; National Apprenticeship Week, Seawork, International Boat Show
· To research and monitor market trends, employer needs and competitor activity to inform business development strategy
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a recruitment, sales or commercial role with a proven track record of achieving financial targets
- Knowledge of the maritime sector including roles, ranks and certifications in the near coastal sector
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients and stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify, grow and convert new business opportunities
- Experience using CRM systems to monitor and report on business leads
- Knowledge of CPD training or workforce development

What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients, and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support, and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
We’re looking for a Senior Policy Officer to join us on a fixed term basis for 12 months to cover maternity leave. Your role in the team will be to support the organisation by pinpointing the health policy and practice changes that will give men access to the best diagnosis, treatment and support.
You’ll develop evidence-based policy positions, informed by patient experience to support the delivery of our strategic direction. You’ll horizon scan to identify relevant health policy developments across all four UK nations and share these insights across the organisation. You’ll identify routes to achieve change and produce evidence-led policy reports, consultation responses and briefings.
Crucially, you’ll also act as policy lead for our new Black Health Equity Strategy 2025-2030 – translating a passion for addressing health inequalities experienced by Black men into tangible policy recommendations.

How and where we work

About the Role
As Policy Officer, you will play a central role in advancing the Trust’s marine policy, planning, and ocean literacy ambitions across a diverse and impactful portfolio. Working closely with the Marine Policy Manager and the marine policy inclusion officer, you will contribute to the development of evidence based, solutions focused policy positions on –
- Scotland’s Marine Protected Area network
- National and regional marine planning
- Fisheries management
- Marine renewables
- and the delivery of Scotland’s Blue Economy Vision - particularly its aim to build an ocean literate nation.
A significant focus of the role will be leading the coordination and delivery of the Scottish Ocean Literacy Coalition and supporting the development of Scotland’s first national Ocean Literacy Strategy. You will convene and chair steering group meetings, design and deliver both online and in person engagement events, and gather perspectives from a wide range of stakeholders to shape a shared national vision for ocean literacy. This will require confidence in planning, facilitating, and managing events, as well as the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across sectors including government, NGOs, academia, communities, and marine industries.
You will also represent the Trust at external meetings, workshops, and conferences, ensuring our priorities are communicated effectively and that we remain an active, constructive voice in Scotland’s marine policy landscape. The breadth of the role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your expertise across marine environmental topics while developing your own specialist area of interest. Job description
- Take overall responsibility for the Inquiry Recommendations Tracker, including its development, structure, accuracy and upkeep.
- Ensure the tracker is kept fully up to date, with progress on each recommendation accurately recorded and supported by relevant evidence.
- Monitor developments relating to Inquiry recommendations, including government responses, implementation activity and public statements, and provide colleagues with clear analysis to inform campaigning and parliamentary engagement.
- Gather and assess information from a range of sources to inform the tracker, including official publications, parliamentary material, stakeholder engagement and direct correspondence.
- Draft policy reports following module report publications, including analysis of recommendations and supplementary recommendations where appropriate, and provide briefing material to support campaign and parliamentary activity.
- Engage with members to ensure their feedback and lived experience inform reports, supplementary recommendations and the Recommendations Tracker.
- Work with colleagues to ensure policy outputs support wider campaigning, parliamentary engagement and communications activity.

The Role
The Research Policy and Partnerships Officer monitors UK research policy and governance developments, synthesises evidence and supports preparation of clear internal briefings, policy statements and consultation responses.
Reporting to the Research Policy and Partnerships Manager, the role helps ensure the Association’s research portfolio and the Research Academy remain well aligned to national frameworks and governance standards, and that lived experience is appropriately reflected in system facing outputs.

The Latin American Women’s Rights Service (LAWRS) is a human rights and feminist
organisation led by and for Latin American migrant women in the UK. Our work is dedicated to
supporting the immediate and long-term needs of Latin American migrant women exposed to
violations of their fundamental human rights; facing violence against women and girls,
exploitation or trafficking; enduring difficult living and working conditions in low paid jobs, and
facing barriers to social protection.
The post holder will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of LAWRS’
policy, advocacy, and communications strategy to tackle the issues affecting migrant women in
the UK labour market, in particular those who are survivors of trafficking and exploitation, and
will work jointly with LAWRS’ policy team and the frontline teams.
