CEO Role Summary:

The CEO provides strategic leadership, ensuring high-quality inclusive arts provision whilst overseeing operations, staff, fundraising, compliance and partnerships. They act as the organisation’s ambassador and contribute to the planning and delivery of both our charitable and business orientated objectives, reporting directly to the Board of Trustees.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic, Leadership and Planning -

· Lead organisation, strategic management and business development

Fundraising and Communications -

· Lead fundraising strategy, applications with Fundraising Manager and other staff

· Cultivate new relationships with funding bodies and stakeholders

· Represent CF to funders, media, and the public

· Approve marketing and promotional materials

· Attend networking events to explore collaborative funding

Operations and Compliance -

· Oversee facilities, H&S compliance and sustainability

· Incorporate all Charity Commission and Companies House updates

· Maintain tenancy relationship with Barnet Council

· Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and Data Protection Officer (ICO)

· Ensure all risk assessments and safeguarding incidents are documented

Finance and Governance -

· Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports

· Oversee financial control, resource efficiency, and long-term planning

· Lead on new business income generation strategies, including art sales

· Report financial and strategic performance to the Board of Trustees quarterly

· Ensure timely delivery of board papers and assist trustees/directors development

Personal Specification

Essential:

- Demonstratable senior leadership experience in arts, community or inclusive sectors

- Strategic, empathetic, and confident leadership

- Proven fundraising, HR, and financial planning experience

- Knowledge of safeguarding, H&S, and regulatory compliance

- Skilled in managing staff, freelancers, and creative practitioners

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Desirable:

- Experience in London Borough of Barnet or other local networks

- Knowledge of Arts Council England (ACE), DCMS and other major third sector funders

About the role

Reporting in to the Director of Organisational Effectiveness, the Head of Health, Safety, Security & Safeguarding is a key role for Christian Aid and will inspire, design and drive Christian Aid's Global Safe strategy, in respect of safety, security, and safeguarding, ensuring that staff in the UK, overseas offices, and partner organisations operate in a safe, secure, and well-supported environment.

The post-holder will be the custodian of a safe culture, ensuring that it aligns with the global culture programme and overall people strategy and be the organisation's safeguarding and security ambassador and expert, acting both internally and externally as a thought leader, challenging appropriately and bringing external expertise to Christian Aid.

Some of the main responsibilities and accountabilities for the role are:

-Monitor and assess security risks in operational locations, providing guidance on crisis response and emergency planning.

-Foster a mindset of connection in relation empowering others to undertake self-assessments for all partnerships and ensure adequate assurance is in place.

-Maximise impact Develop through the development of crisis management plans for security incidents, safeguarding concerns, and emergency situations.

-Provide expert advice to leadership and country teams on risk management and response strategies.

-Foster continuous improvement with legal, HR, and program teams to ensure safety and safeguarding policies align with regulatory and donor requirements.

-Facilitate opportunities with external security, safeguarding, and humanitarian networks to strengthen best practices.

-Represent Christian Aid in sector-wide discussions on safety, security, and safeguarding policies.

About you

The essential key skills and experience that we are looking for are:

-Significant experience in safety, security, and safeguarding roles, preferably in international NGOs, humanitarian organisation, or development agencies.

-Significant exposure to working in high-risk, conflict, or disaster-affected environments, managing safety and security for field teams.

-Advanced knowledge of global safeguarding frameworks, including protection of vulnerable groups, PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), and child safeguarding and how they apply in humanitarian contexts.

-Extensive experience in crisis response, risk assessment, and emergency planning for international staff and partners.

-Leadership experience in developing and delivering training on security awareness, safeguarding, and risk management.

-Proven ability to develop and implement security and safeguarding policies across multiple locations.

-Advanced understanding of global security protocols, crisis management, risk assessment, and incident response, particularly in volatile or conflict zones.

-Expertise in managing security risks, conducting security assessments, and developing crisis management plans.

-Awareness of international legal frameworks, including those related to human rights, security, and safeguarding in field operations.

-Knowledge of staff wellbeing strategies, trauma response, and resilience-building in high-risk or stressful environments.

Your work will not only promote social inclusion and greater independence for each individual, but also directly contribute to creating safer, stronger communities.

About the role:

At the heart of Camden’s mission to end rough sleeping, the Gray's Inn Road project offers short-stay accommodation for 16 individuals experiencing some of the most challenging periods in their lives. Funded by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the Greater London Authority, and delivered in partnership with One Housing Group and Camden Council, this service plays a pivotal role in ensuring rough sleeping in Camden is not only rare but brief and not repeated. Residents typically stay between three to six months, during which time the focus is on creating pathways into safe, sustainable housing and renewed independence.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering trauma-informed, psychologically informed support. You’ll work closely with clients facing overlapping challenges including homelessness, poor physical and mental health, substance use, trauma and histories with the criminal justice system. With your own caseload, you’ll conduct in-depth assessments, build tailored support plans and facilitate interventions that reflect the needs, strengths and aspirations of each person. Every day brings new opportunities to connect people with education, training or employment, to help them rebuild practical life skills, and to foster progress towards long-term goals.

This is a role where no two days are the same, and the impact you’ll make is tangible. From supporting someone through a housing move to witnessing the first steps towards recovery or reconnection. You’ll work alongside a wide range of services including Camden Routes off the Streets, Inroads, Connect Forward and the Adult Pathway, as well as contribute to the operational running of the service and uphold high standards in safety and compliance. Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The Newham Domestic and Sexual Violence Support Service is a community-based initiative offering integrated support to individuals who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence, forced marriage, honour-based violence, female genital mutilation, or violence related to sex work. Delivered in partnership with local agencies, the service uses approaches such as casework, Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocacy (IDSVA), and Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) to provide holistic, person-centred care. Its aim is to not only assist survivors directly but also to raise awareness within the community about domestic and sexual violence and the support available.

The role involves delivering tailored support through safety planning, risk and needs assessments, and one-to-one sessions, empowering survivors to make informed decisions and develop independent living skills. It requires working closely with multiple agencies to meet needs effectively, building strong relationships with community and statutory organisations, and contributing to good practice and policy development. Service user involvement is promoted through events, networking, fundraising, and consultations, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safeguarding policies at all times.

What do I need to bring with me?

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. Here's what the team will be looking for

It calls for experience in working with vulnerable individuals, especially those involved in both on- and off-street sex work, along with a strong understanding of the challenges they face and the barriers to accessing services. The role requires the ability to support people who have experienced trauma, as well as excellent verbal, written, and IT skills. A good grasp of safeguarding issues and their practical application is essential, alongside knowledge of health and social care services and the legal framework relating to sex work. A valid driving licence is also required.

As Health Intelligence Analyst you will be working as part of our highly respected health intelligence team, playing a key part in ensuring we use data and insights to understand and advocate for the needs and experiences of people living with arthritis and MSK conditions.

The postholder will undertake data analysis, data visualisation, and produce reports to develop and administer systems and processes that aid effective data intelligence gathering. They will also deliver projects and support a forward plan for arthritis and musculoskeletal health intelligence; contribute and work effectively within a dynamic team; and support, nurture and grow relationships with external and internal partners to further Versus Arthritis’ data leadership role in the musculoskeletal (MSK) sector.

About the role

• Lead on establishing and maintaining a ‘single source of the truth’ on arthritis and musculoskeletal statistics and data within the charity and beyond. This includes our annual State of MSK Health statistics report and other statistics publications.
• Support on the development and delivery of a pipeline of insightful MSK and health data analysis and quantitative research, to better understand the UK population with arthritis and MSK conditions and to inform the direction of Versus Arthritis’ ambitions, strategy, policy and services work.
• Work with others, particularly colleagues in UK Advocacy and Health Intelligence, to influence improved quality, extent and use of musculoskeletal health data by statutory bodies across the four UK nations, including Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID), National Health Service (NHS), Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), nationally and locally to improve musculoskeletal health nationally.
• Manage and maintain our health intelligence website, intranet and Sharepoint pages and data enquiries inbox, ensuring they are up to date, reflect the latest developments of the health intelligence function in the charity and that queries are answered on time.

About you

If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we’d love to hear from you:

• Demonstrate sound knowledge of epidemiological research methods including experience of using multiple sets of health-related data and information systems, and large-scale data sets for policy, quality improvement or research purposes.
• Ability to interpret, present and communicate complex data in accessible lay terms, including producing data-rich reports for a range of technical and generalist audiences.
